Ezekiel 11
1 And a spirit bore me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the house of the Lord, which looketh eastward: and behold, there were at the entrance of the gate five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Yaazanyah the son of 'Azzur, and Pelatyahu the son of Benayahu, princes of the people.
Então o Espírito me levantou, e me trouxe à porta oriental da Casa do SENHOR, que está voltada para o oriente; e eis que estavam à entrada da porta vinte e cinco homens; e no meio deles vi a Jazanias filho de Azur, e a Pelatias filho de Benaías, príncipes do povo.
2 Then said he unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise wickedness, and give evil counsel in this city;
E disse-me: Filho do homem, estes são os homens que tramam perversidade, e dão mau conselho nesta cidade;
3 Who say, [The evil] is not near; so let us build houses: this [city] is the pot, and we are the flesh.
Os quais dizem: Não está perto [o tempo] de edificar casas; esta [cidade] é a caldeira, e nós a carne.
4 Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.
Por isso profetiza contra eles; profetiza, ó filho do homem.
5 And the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak, Thus hath said the Lord, Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; and whatever cometh into your mind, do I know full well.
E caiu sobre mim o Espírito do SENHOR, e disse-me: Dize: Assim diz o SENHOR: Assim vós dizeis, ó casa de Israel; porque eu sei todas as coisas que sobem a vosso espírito.
6 Ye have multiplied those slain by you in this city, and ye have filled its streets with the slain.
Multiplicastes vossos mortos nesta cidade, e enchestes suas ruas de mortos.
7 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Those slain by you whom ye have struck down in the midst of it, —they are the flesh, and this place is the pot; but you are to be removed out of the midst of it.
Portanto, assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Vossos mortos que deitastes no meio dela, esses são a carne, e ela é a caldeira; porém eu vos tirarei do meio dela.
8 The sword have ye feared: and the sword will I bring over you, saith the Lord Eternal.
Temestes a espada, e a espada trarei sobre vós, diz o Senhor DEUS.
9 And I will remove you out of the midst of it, and I will give you up into the hand of strangers, and will execute punishments among you.
E vos tirarei do meio dela, e vos entregarei nas mãos de estrangeiros; e eu farei julgamentos entre vós.
10 By the sword shall ye fall; on the boundary of Israel will I judge you: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Pela espada caireis; na fronteira de Israel vos julgarei, e sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR.
11 This place shall not be unto you as a pot, so that you should be as flesh in the midst of it; but on the boundary of Israel will I judge you.
Esta [cidade] não vos servirá de caldeira, nem sereis vós a carne no meio dela; na fronteira de Israel eu vos julgarei.
12 And ye shall know that I am the Lord: because in my statutes have ye not walked, and my ordinances have ye not executed; but ye have done after the ordinances of the nations that are round about you.
E sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR; pois vós não andastes em meus estatutos, nem fizestes meus juízos; em vez disso fizestes conforme os juízos das nações que estão ao redor de vós.
13 And it came to pass, as I was prophesying, that Pelatyahu the son of Benayah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord Eternal! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
E aconteceu que, enquanto eu estava profetizando, Pelatias filho de Benaías faleceu. Então caí sobre meu rosto, clamei com alta voz, e disse: Ah, Senhor DEUS! Consumirás tu o resto de Israel?
14 Then came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,
Então veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:
15 Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and the whole house of Israel altogether, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Remain you far from the Lord: unto us is this land given for a possession.
Filho do homem, teus irmãos, são teus irmãos, os homens de teu parentesco e toda a casa de Israel, ela toda são a quem os moradores de Jerusalém disseram: Afastai-vos do SENHOR; a terra é dada a nós em possessão.
16 Therefore say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Although I have removed them far away among the nations, and although I have scattered them among the countries: yet will I be to them as a minor sanctuary in the countries whither they are come.
Por isso dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Ainda que os tenha lançado longe entre as nações, e tenha os dispersado pelas terras, contudo por um pouco [tempo] eu lhes serei por santuário nas terras para onde vieram.
17 Therefore say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will both gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries whether ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
Por isso dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Eu vos ajuntarei dos povos, e vos recolherei das terras as quais fostes dispersos, e vos darei a terra de Israel.
18 And they shall come thither, and they shall remove all its detestable things, and all its abominations out of it.
E virão para lá, e tirarão dela todas suas coisas detestáveis e todas as suas abominações.
19 And I will give them one single heart, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will remove the heart of stone out of their body, and I will give unto them a heart of flesh:
E lhes darei um mesmo coração, e um espírito novo darei em suas entranhas; e tirarei o coração de pedra de sua carne, e lhes darei coração de carne;
20 In order that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them; and they shall be unto me for a people, and I will indeed be unto them for a God.
Para que andem em meus estatutos e guardem meus juízos e os pratiquem; e eles serão meu povo, e eu serei seu Deus.
21 But as for those whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, their way do I bring upon their own head, saith the Lord Eternal.
Mas quanto a [aqueles] cujo coração anda conforme o desejo de suas coisas detestáveis e de suas abominações, eu retribuirei seu caminho sobre suas cabeças, diz o Senhor DEUS.
22 Then did the cherubim lift up their wings, and the wheels at the same time with them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
Depois os querubins levantaram suas asas, e as rodas ao lado deles; e a glória do Deus de Israel estava por cima deles.
23 And the glory of the Lord ascended from the midst of the city, and halted upon the mount which is on the east side of the city.
E a glória do SENHOR subiu do meio da cidade, e se pôs sobre o monte que está ao oriente da cidade.
24 But a spirit bore me up, and brought me into Chaldea, to those in exile, in the appearance through the spirit of God: and then ascended away from me the appearance which I had seen.
Depois o Espírito me levantou, e levou-me à Caldeia, aos do cativeiro, em visão do Espírito de Deus. E a visão que vi foi embora acima de mim.
25 Then did I speak unto those in exile all the things that the Lord had shown me.
E falei aos do cativeiro todas as palavras do SENHOR que ele havia me mostrado.
