Exodus 40
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Kisha Yahweh akasema na Musa na kumwambia,
2 On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
“Siku ya kwanza ya mwezi wa kwanza ya mwaka lazima wewe uandae hema la kukutania.
3 And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and separate the ark with the vail.
Utaweka sanduku la ushuhuda ndani yake, na utaziba sanduku kwa pazia.
4 And thou shalt bring in the table, and arrange the order of the showbread upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.
Utaleta ndani meza na kuandaa kwa mpangilio vitu vyake. Kisha utaleta kinara cha taa na kuandaa taa.
5 And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony; and thou shalt put up the hanging at the door to the tabernacle.
Nawe utaweka madhabahu ya dhahabu ya uvumba mbele ya sanduku la ushuhuda, na utaweka pazia katika mwingilio wa hema la kukutania.
6 And thou shalt set the altar of burnt-offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
Utaweka madhabahu kwa ajili ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa mbele ya mwingilio wa hema ya kukutania.
7 And thou shalt set the laver between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
Utaweka ile saani kubwa katikati ya hema la kukutania na madhabahu na utaweka maji ndani yake.
8 And thou shalt set up the court round about, and put up the hanging at the gate of the court.
Uandae nyuani inayoizunguka, na utundike pazia katika mwingilio wa nyuani.
9 And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein; and thou shalt hallow it, with all its vessels, and it shall be holy.
Lazima uchukuwe mafuta ya upako na upake hema la kukutania na kila kitu kilichopo ndani yake. Lazima uitenge na samani zake kwangu; kisha itakuwa takatifu.
10 And thou shalt anoint the altar of burnt-offering, and all its vessels; and thou shalt sanctify the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.
Lazima upake mafuta madhabahu ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa na vyombo vyake. Lazima utenge madhabhu kwa ajili yangu na itakuwa takatifu kwangu.
11 And thou shalt anoint the laver with its foot, and sanctify it.
Upake mafuta beseni la shaba na sakafu yake na uitenge kwa ajili yangu.
12 And thou shalt bring near Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
Umlete Aruni na wanae kwa mwingilio wa hema la kukutania na uwaoshe wote kwa maji.
13 And thou shalt clothe Aaron with the holy garments; and thou shalt anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may be a priest unto me.
Utamfunika Aruni kwa mavazi yaliyo tengwa kwa ajili yangu, mpake mafuta na umtenge ili anitumikie kama kuhani.
14 And his sons shalt thou bring near, and clothe them with coats:
Utawaleta wana wake na kuwafunika kwa nguo nzito.
15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou hast anointed their father, that they may be priests unto me; and this shall be, that their anointing shall be unto them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
Utawapaka mafuta kama ulivyo mpaka baba yao ili wanitumikie kama makuhani. Upako wao utawafanya makuhani wa kudumu vizazi vyote vya watu wao.”
16 And Moses did so; all, just as the Lord had commanded him, so did he.
Hivi ndivyo Musa alivyo sema; alifuata yote Yahweh aliyo muamuru. Alifanya vitu vyote hivi.
17 And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.
Hivyo hema la kukutania liliandaliwa siku ya kwanza ya mwezi wa mwaka wa pili.
18 And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and placed its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and reared up its pillars.
Musa alianda hema la kukutania, akaeka sakafu zake sehemu yake, akaanda fremu zake, akashikisha chuma zake, na akaanda minara na nguzo zake.
19 And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent over it above; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Alitandaza mfuniko juu ya hema la kukutania na kuweka hema juu yake, kama Yahweh alivyo muamuru.
20 And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and placed the staves on the ark; and he put the mercy-seat upon the ark above.
Alichukuwa amri za agano na kuweka kwenye sanduku. Pia aliweka nguzo kwenye sanduku na kuweka mfuniko wa kiti cha rehema.
21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the separation, and made therewith a separation for the ark of the testimony; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Aliichukuwa sanduku na kuweka ndani ya hema la kukutania. Aliandaa pazia ili lizibe sanduku la ushuhuda, kama Yahweh alivyo muamuru.
22 And he put the table in the tabernacle of the congregation, upon the side of the tabernacle, northward, without the vail.
Alieka meza kwenye hema la kukutania, kwa upande wa kaskazini mwa hema la kukutania, nje ya pazia.
23 And he arranged upon it the order of bread before the Lord; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Alieka mkate kwa mpangilio katika meza ya Yahweh, kama Yahweh alivyo amuru.
24 And he placed the candlestick in the tabernacle of the congregation, opposite the table, on the side of the tabernacle, southward.
Alieka kinara cha taa kwenye hema la kukutania, upande wa pili wa meza, kusini mwa hema la kukutani.
25 And he lighted the lamps before the Lord; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Aliwasha taa mbele za Yahweh, kama Yahweh alivyo muamuru.
26 And he placed the golden altar in the tabernacle of the congregation before the vail.
Aliweka madhabahu ya dhahabu ya uvumba ndani ya hema la kukutania mbele ya pazia.
27 And he burnt thereon the incense of spices; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Alichoma uvumba wa manukato hapo, kama Yahweh alivyo muamuru.
28 And he put up the hanging at the door to the tabernacle.
Alitundika pazia katika hema ya kukutania.
29 And the altar of burnt-offering he placed by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation; and he offered upon it the burnt-offering and the meat-offering; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Aliweka madhabahu ya sadaka ya kuteketeza katika hema ya kukutania. Aliitolea sadaka ya kuteketeza na sadaka ya unga, kama Yahweh alivyo muamuru.
30 And he set the laver between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, for washing.
Aliweka beseni katikati ya hema ya kukutunia na madhabahu, na maji ya kuoshea.
31 And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed therefrom their hands and their feet.
Musa, Aruni, na wanae waliosha mikono yao na miguu kwenye beseni
32 When they went in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed themselves; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
muda wowote walipoenda kwenye hema ya kukutania na muda wowote walipoenda kwenye madhabahu. Walijisafisha, kama Yahweh alivyo muamuru Musa.
33 And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and put up the hanging of the gate of the court; and so did Moses finish the work.
Musa alianda nyuani nyuma ya hema ya kukutania na madhabahu. Alianda pazia katika mwingilio wa nyuani. Katika hili, Musa alimaliza kazi.
34 And the cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
Kisha wingu likafunika hema ya kukutania, na utukufu wa Yahweh ukafunika hema ya kukutania.
35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation; because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
Musa hakuweza kuingia hema ya kukutania kwasababu wingu lilikuwa juu yake, na kwasababu utukufu wa Yahweh ulijaza hema ya kukutania.
36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel were wont to go onward in all their journeyings.
Muda wowote wingu lilipo chukuliwa juu kutoka hema ya kukutania, watu wa Israeli waliendelea na safari yao.
37 But if the cloud was not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that is was taken up.
Lakini kama wingu haliku nyanyuka juu kutoka hema ya kukutania, kisha basi watu hawaku safiri. Walibaki hadi siku lilipo nyanyuliwa juu.
38 For the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and a fire was by night on it, before the eyes of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeyings.
Kwa kuwa wingu la Yahweh lilikuwa juu ya hema ya kukutania mchana, na moto wake ulikuwa juu yake usiku, wazi kwa watu wote wa Israeli kipindi chote cha safari yao.
