Exodus 39

1 And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, they made the cloths of service, to do the service in the holy place; and they made the holy garments which were for Aaron, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Et avec l'azur et le pourpre et le vermillon ils firent les Costumes d'office pour servir dans le Sanctuaire, et ils firent les vêtements sacrés pour Aaron, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.

2 And he made the ephod, of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and twisted linen;

Et il fit l'Ephod d'or, d'azur, de pourpre et de vermillon et de lin retors.

3 And they did heat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet yarn, and in the linen, with weaver's work.

Et ils laminèrent les plaques d'or, et taillèrent des fils pour les entrelacer dans l'azur et le pourpre et le vermillon et le lin en ouvrage de tricot.

4 They made shoulder-pieces for it, joined on; on both its edges was it thus joined together.

Ils le composèrent de deux pièces portant sur les épaules et assemblées, assemblées aux deux extrémités,

5 And the belt for girding it on, that was upon it, was of the same piece with itself, of the same make: of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and twisted linen; as the Lord had commanded Moses.

et sa ceinture qui y est appliquée et en sort, fut du même travail, d'or, d'azur, de pourpre et de vermillon et de lin retors comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.

6 And they wrought the onyx stones enclosed in casings of gold, engraved with the engraving of a signet, after the names of the children of Israel.

Et ils firent les pierres d'onyx enchâssées dans des chatons d'or portant gravés en gravure de sceaux les noms des fils d'Israël.

7 And he put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, as stones of memorial to the children of Israel; as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Et il les plaça sur les épaulettes de l'Ephod, comme pierres commémoratives pour les fils d'Israël, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.

8 And he made the breastplate with weaver's work, like the work of the ephod: of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and twisted linen.

Et il fit le Pectoral en ouvrage de tricot, comme le travail de l'Ephod, d'or, d'azur, de pourpre et de vermillon et de lin retors.

9 It was foursquare, double did they make the breastplate: it was a span in length, and a span in breadth, double.

Il fut carré; ils firent le Pectoral double, d'un empan de longueur et d'un empan de largeur, double.

10 And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row, a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald; this was the first row.

Et ils le garnirent de quatre rangs de pierreries; le rang de sardoine, de topaze et d'émeraude fut le premier rang;

11 And the second row, a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a diamond.

et le second rang se composait d'une escarboucle, d'un saphir et d'un diamant;

12 And the third row, an opal, a turquoise, and an amethyst.

et le troisième, d'une opale, d'une agate et d'une améthyste;

13 And the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper: they were fitted in golden casings when they were set in.

le quatrième, d'un chrysolithe, d'un onyx et d'un jaspe, enchâssés en or dans leurs chatons.

14 And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, [engraved] with the engraving of a signet, every one according to his name, for the twelve tribes.

Et il y eut douze pierres autant que de noms des fils d'Israël, selon leurs noms; elles furent gravées comme des sceaux, portant chacune son nom correspondant aux douze tribus.

15 And they made upon the breastplate chains with knots at the ends, of wreathed work, of pure gold.

Et ils firent au Pectoral des chaînettes torses tressées en cordons et d'or pur.

16 And they made two casings of gold, and two golden rings; and they put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

Et ils firent deux chaînettes d'or et deux anneaux d'or et fixèrent les deux anneaux aux deux extrémités du Pectoral.

17 And they put the two wreathed chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate.

Et ils insérèrent les deux chaînettes d'or dans les deux anneaux aux extrémités du Pectoral.

18 And the two ends of the two wreathed chains they fastened on the two casings, and they put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, on the outside thereof.

Et ils arrêtèrent aux deux chatons les deux autres bouts des deux cordons, et les nouèrent aux deux épaulettes de l'Ephod sur le devant.

19 And they made two golden rings, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its border, which was on the opposite side of the ephod, inward.

Ils firent de plus deux anneaux d'or qu'ils placèrent aux deux extrémités du Pectoral, sur celui de ses bords qui est tourné vers l'Ephod en dedans.

20 And they made two more golden rings, and put them on the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod underneath, toward its front part, close by its seam, above the girdle of the ephod.

Ils firent encore deux anneaux d'or qu'ils mirent aux deux pièces de l'Ephod en bas sur le devant, juste à leur jonction au-dessus de la ceinture.

21 And they fastened the breastplate by its rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might remain on the girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Et ils attachèrent le Pectoral par ses anneaux aux anneaux de l'Ephod avec des cordons d'azur pour l'arrêter au-dessus de la ceinture de l'Ephod, afin que le Pectoral ne s'écarte pas de l'Ephod, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.

22 And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, altogether of blue woolen yarn.

Et il fit la Robe sur laquelle porte l'Ephod, en ouvrage de tisseur, toute d'azur,

23 And there was an opening in the midst of the robe, as the opening of a habergeon, with a binding round about the opening, that it should not be rent.

et au milieu de la robe une ouverture comme l'ouverture d'une cotte de mailles, et bordée dans son contour d'un ourlet, afin qu'elle ne se déchire pas.

24 And they made upon the lower hem of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, twisted.

Et sur la bordure de la Robe ils firent des grenades d'azur, de pourpre et de vermillon en fil retors.

25 And they made bells of pure gold; and they put the bells between the pomegranates upon the lower hem of the robe, round about, between the pomegranates;

Et ils firent des clochettes d'or pur et ils mirent les clochettes entre les grenades à la bordure de la robe tout autour, entre les grenades,

26 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the lower hem of the robe, to minister therein; as the Lord had commanded Moses.

une clochette et une grenade, une clochette et une grenade à la bordure de la robe tout autour, pour le service, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.

27 And they made the coats of linen, of woven work, for Aaron and for his sons,

Et ils confectionnèrent les Tuniques de byssus, en ouvrage de tisseur, pour Aaron et ses fils,

28 And the mitre of linen, and the goodly bonnets of linen, and linen breeches of twisted linen thread.

et le Turban de byssus et la coiffure des bonnets de byssus et les caleçons de lin, de byssus retors,

29 And the girdle of twisted linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, the work of the embroiderer; as the Lord had commanded Moses.

et la Ceinture de byssus retors et d'azur et de pourpre et de vermillon ouvragé en brocart, ainsi que l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.

30 And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like the engrafting of a signet, Holy to the Lord.

Et ils firent la plaque, diadème sacré, d'or pur, et y tracèrent en caractères de sceau: Consécration à l'Éternel.

31 And they put on it a lace of blue, to place it upon the mitre above; as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Et ils y adaptèrent un cordon d'azur pour l'attacher au Turban dans le haut, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.

32 Thus was finished all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation; and the children of Israel had made it in accordance with all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so had they made it.

Ainsi fut achevé tout le travail de la Résidence de la Tente du Rendez-vous, et les enfants d'Israël se conformèrent à tous les ordres que l'Éternel avait donnés à Moïse, ils les suivirent.

33 And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tent, and all its vessels, its hooks, its boards, its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets,

Et ils présentèrent à Moïse la Résidence, la Tente et tout son attirail, ses agrafes, ses ais, ses traverses et ses colonnes et ses soubassements,

34 And the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers' skins, and the vail of the separation:

et la couverture de peaux de béliers teintes en rouge et la couverture de peaux de chiens de mer, et le Rideau intérieur,

35 The ark of the testimony, and its staves, and the mercy-seat;

et l'Arche du Témoignage et ses barres et le Propitiatoire;

36 The table, and all its vessels, and the showbread;

la Table, toute sa vaisselle et les Pains de présentation;

37 The pure candlestick, with its lamps, the lamps to be set in order thereupon, and all its vessels, and the oil for the lighting,

le Candélabre [or] pur, ses lampes, l'assortiment de ses lampes, et tout son attirail, et l'huile du Candélabre;

38 And the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the incense of spices, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle;

et l'Autel d'or et l'huile d'onction et le parfum odorant et le Rideau de la porte de la Tente,

39 The copper altar, and the grating of copper which belonged to it, its staves, and all its vessels, the laver and its foot;

l'Autel d'airain et le réseau d'airain qui y est appliqué, ses barres et tout son attirail; le Bassin et son support,

40 The hangings of the court, its pillars and its sockets, and the hanging for the court-gate, its cords, and its pins, and all the vessels of the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation;

les toiles du Parvis, ses colonnes et ses soubassements et le rideau pour la porte du Parvis, ses cordes et ses piliers, tous les meubles servant à l'usage de la Résidence de la Tente du Rendez-vous,

41 The cloths of service to do the service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister therein.

les Costumes pour le service à faire dans le Sanctuaire, les Vêtements sacrés pour le Prêtre Aaron et les vêtements de ses fils pour leurs fonctions sacerdotales.

42 All, just as the Lord had commanded Moses, so had the children of Israel done all the work.

Les enfants d'Israël exécutèrent tout l'ouvrage conformément à tous les ordres donnés par l'Éternel à Moïse.

43 And Moses did look over all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the Lord had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

Et Moïse vit tout l'ouvrage, et voici, ils l'avaient fait comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné; ainsi l'avaient-ils fait, et Moïse les bénit.
