Exodus 31
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
RAB Musa'ya şöyle dedi:
2 See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Chur, of the tribe of Judah:
“Bak, Yahuda oymağından özellikle Hur oğlu Uri oğlu Besalel'i seçtim.
3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
Beceri, anlayış, bilgi ve her türlü ustalık vermek için onu ruhumla doldurdum.
4 To devise works of art, to work in gold, and in silver, and in copper,
Öyle ki, altın, gümüş, tunç işleyerek ustaca yapıtlar üretsin;
5 And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in the carving of wood, to work in all manner of workmanship.
taş kesme ve kakmada, ağaç oymacılığında, her türlü sanat dalında çalışsın.
6 And behold, I have also given with him Aholiab, the son of Achissamach, of the tribe of Dan, and in the heart of all that are wise-hearted have l put wisdom; and they shall make all that I have commanded thee;
Ayrıca Dan oymağından Ahisamak oğlu Oholiav'ı onunla çalışması için görevlendirdim. Sana buyurduğum işlerin hepsini yapabilsinler diye öteki becerikli adamlara üstün yetenek verdim.
7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the cover that is thereupon, and all the vessels of the tabernacle;
Buluşma Çadırı'nı, Levha Sandığı'nı, sandığın üzerindeki Bağışlanma Kapağı'nı, çadırın bütün takımlarını,
8 And the table and its vessels, and the pure candlestick with all its vessels, and the altar of incense;
masayla takımlarını, saf altın kandillikle takımlarını, buhur sunağını,
9 And the altar of burnt-offering with all its vessels, and the laver and its foot;
yakmalık sunu sunağıyla takımlarını, kazanla kazan ayaklığını,
10 And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister therein;
dokunmuş giysileri –Kâhin Harun'un kutsal giysileriyle oğullarının kâhin giysilerini–
11 And the anointing oil, and the incense of spices for the holy place: all as I have commanded thee shall they do.
mesh yağını, kutsal yer için güzel kokulu buhuru tam sana buyurduğum gibi yapsınlar.”
12 And the Lord said unto Moses as followeth,
RAB Musa'ya şöyle buyurdu:
13 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Above all, my sabbaths shall ye keep; for a sign it is between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord who doth sanctify you.
“İsrailliler'e de ki, ‘Şabat günlerimi kesinlikle tutmalısınız. Çünkü o sizinle benim aramda kuşaklar boyu sürecek bir belirtidir. Böylece anlayacaksınız ki, sizi kutsal kılan RAB benim.
14 And ye shall keep the sabbath, for it is holy unto you; every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death; for whosoever doeth any work thereon, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
“‘Şabat Günü'nü tutmalısınız, çünkü sizin için kutsaldır. Kim onun kutsallığını bozarsa, kesinlikle öldürülmeli. O gün çalışan herkes halkının arasından atılmalı.
15 Six days may work be done; but on the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work on the sabbath-day, shall surely be put to death.
Altı gün çalışılacak; ama yedinci gün RAB'be adanmış Şabat'tır, dinlenme günüdür. Şabat Günü çalışan herkes kesinlikle öldürülmelidir.
16 And the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
İsrailliler, sonsuza dek sürecek bir antlaşma gereği olarak, Şabat Günü'nü kuşaklar boyu kutlamaya özen gösterecekler.
17 Between me and the children of Israel it shall be a sign for ever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed:
Bu, İsrailliler'le benim aramda sürekli bir belirti olacaktır. Çünkü ben, RAB yeri göğü altı günde yarattım, yedinci gün işe son verip dinlendim.’”
18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had finished speaking with him upon mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, tables of stone, inscribed with the finger of God.
Tanrı Sina Dağı'nda Musa'yla konuşmasını bitirince, üzerine eliyle antlaşma koşullarını yazdığı iki taş levhayı ona verdi.
