Exodus 23
1 Thou shalt not receive a false report: put not thy hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
Não admitirás falso rumor, e não porás a tua mão com o ímpio, para seres testemunha falsa.
2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause, to incline after many, to wrest judgment.
Não seguirás a multidão para fazeres o mal: nem numa demanda falarás, tomando parte com o maior número para torcer o direito.
3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
Nem ao pobre favorecerás na sua demanda.
4 If thou meet thy enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
Se encontrares o boi do teu inimigo, ou o seu jumento, desgarrado, sem falta lho reconduzirás.
5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to unload him, [thou must not do so, but] thou shalt surely unload with him.
Se vires o jumento daquele que te aborrece deitado debaixo da sua carga, deixarás pois de ajuda-lo? certamente o ajudarás juntamente com ele.
6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
Não perverterás o direito do teu pobre na sua demanda.
7 Keep thyself far from a false speech; and him who hath been declared innocent and righteous thou shalt not slay; for I will not justify the wicked.
De palavras de falsidade te afastarás, e não matarás o inocente e o justo; porque não justificarei o ímpio.
8 And thou shalt take no bribe; for the bribe blindeth the clear-sighted, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
Também presente não tomarás: porque o presente cega os que tem vista, e perverte as palavras dos justos.
9 And a stranger shalt thou not oppress; for ye know well the spirit of the stranger, seeing ye yourselves were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Também não oprimirás o estrangeiro; pois vós conheceis o coração do estrangeiro, pois fostes estrangeiros na terra do Egito.
10 And six years shalt thou sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof;
Também seis anos semearás tua terra, e recolherás os seus frutos;
11 But the seventh year shalt thou let it rest and lie still; that the needy of thy people may eat [of it]; and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat: in like manner shalt thou deal with thy vineyard, and with thy olive tree.
Mas ao sétimo a soltarás e deixarás descançar, para que possam comer os pobres do teu povo, e do sobejo comam os animais do campo. Assim farás com a tua vinha e com o teu olival.
12 Six days shalt thou do thy work, and on the seventh day shalt thou rest; that thy ox and thy ass may repose, and the son of thy hand-maid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
Seis dias farás os teus negócios, mas ao sétimo dia descançarás: para que descance o teu boi, e o teu jumento; e para que tome alento o filho da tua escrava, e o estrangeiro.
13 And in all things that I have said unto you be on your guard; and of the name of other gods ye shall make no mention, it shall not be heard out of thy mouth.
E em tudo o que vos tenho dito, guardai-vos: e do nome de outros deuses nem vos lembreis, nem se ouça da vossa boca.
14 Three times shalt thou keep a feast unto me in the year.
Três vezes no ano me celebrareis festa.
15 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month of Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty.
A festa dos pães asmos guardarás: sete dias comerás pães asmos, como te tenho ordenado, ao tempo apontado no mês de Abib; porque nele saíste do Egito: e ninguém apareça vazio perante mim.
16 And the feast of harvest, of the first-fruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in thy field: and the feast of ingathering, at the conclusion of the year, when thou gatherest in thy labors out of the field.
E a festa da sega dos primeiros frutos do teu trabalho, que houveres semeado no campo, e a festa da colheita à saída do ano, quando tiveres colhido do campo o teu trabalho.
17 Three times in the year shall all thy males appear before the Lord, the Eternal.
Três vezes no ano todos os teus machos aparecerão diante do Senhor.
18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my festive sacrifice remain until morning.
Não oferecerás o sangue do meu sacrifício com pão levedado: nem ficará a gordura da minha festa de noite até à manhã
19 The first of the first-fruits of thy land shalt thou bring unto the house of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in its mother's milk.
As primícias dos primeiros frutos da tua terra trarás à casa do Senhor teu Deus: não cozerás o cabrito no leite de sua mãe
20 Behold, I send an angel before thee, to keep thee on the way, and to bring thee unto the place which I have prepared.
Eis que eu envio um anjo diante de ti, para que te guarde neste caminho, e te leve ao lugar que te tenho aparelhado.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, disobey him not; for he will not pardon your transgression, because my name is in him.
Guarda-te diante dele, e ouve a sua voz, e não o provoques à ira: porque não perdoará a vossa rebelião; porque o meu nome está nele.
22 But if thou wilt carefully hearken to his voice, and do all that I shall speak: then will I be an enemy unto thy enemies, and afflict those that afflict thee.
Mas se diligentemente ouvires a sua voz, e fizeres tudo o que eu disser, então serei inimigo dos teus inimigos, e adversário dos teus adversários.
23 For my angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Emorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.
Porque o meu anjo irá diante de ti, e te levará aos amorreus, e aos heteus, e aos phereseus, e aos cananeus, heveus e jebuseus: e eu os destruirei.
24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their deeds; but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and completely break down their statuary images.
Não te inclinarás diante dos seus deuses, nem os servirás, nem farás conforme às suas obras: antes os destruirás totalmente, e quebrarás de todo as suas estátuas.
25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will remove sickness from the midst of thee.
E servireis ao Senhor vosso Deus, e ele abençoará o vosso pão e a vossa água: e eu tirarei do meio de ti as enfermidades.
26 There shall be no one casting her children, nor a barren woman, in thy land; the number of thy days I will make full.
Não haverá alguma que mova, nem estéril na tua terra: o número dos teus dias cumprirei.
27 My terror will I send before thee, and will bring in confusion all the people to which thou shalt come; and I will make all thy enemies turn their back unto thee.
Enviarei o meu terror diante de ti, destruindo a todo o povo aonde entrares, e farei que todos os teus inimigos te virem as costas.
28 And I will send hornets before thee, and they shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
Também enviarei vespões diante de ti, que lancem fora os heveus, os cananeus, e os heteus diante de ti.
29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
Num só ano os não lançarei fora diante de ti, para que a terra se não torne em deserto, e as feras do campo se não multipliquem contra ti.
30 Little by little will I drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased and canst possess the land.
Pouco a pouco os lançarei diante de ti, até que sejas multiplicado, e possuas a terra por herança.
31 And I will set thy bounds from the Red Sea unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river; for I will deliver into your hand the inhabitants of the land, and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
E porei os teus termos desde o Mar Vermelho até ao mar dos philisteus, e desde o deserto até ao rio: porque darei nas tuas mãos os moradores da terra, para que os lances fora diante de ti.
32 Thou shalt not make a covenant with them, nor with their gods.
Não farás concerto algum com eles, ou com os seus deuses.
33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they cause thee to sin against me; for thou mightest [be led to] serve their gods, and this would surely be a snare unto thee.
Na tua terra não habitarão, para que não te façam pecar contra mim: se servires aos seus deuses, certamente te será um laço
