Esther 10

1 And king Achashverosh imposed a tribute upon the land, and the isles of the sea.

Puis le Roi Assuérus imposa un tribut sur le pays, et sur les Iles de la mer.

2 And all the acts of his strength and of his might, and the exposition of the greatness of Mordecai, wherewith the king made him great, behold they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia.

Or quant à tous les exploits de sa force et de sa puissance, et quant à la description de la magnificence de Mardochée, de laquelle le Roi l'honora, ces choses ne sont-elles pas écrites dans le Livre des Chroniques des Rois de Médie et de Perse?

3 For Mordecai the Jew was the second in rank after king Achashverosh, and great among the Jews, and acceptable to the multitude of his brethren, a promoter of good to his people, and speaking peace to all its seed.

Car Mardochée le Juif fut le second après le Roi Assuérus, et il fut grand parmi les Juifs, et agréable à la multitude de ses frères, procurant le bien de son peuple, et parlant pour la prospérité de toute sa race.
