Deuteronomy 26
1 And it shall come to pass, when thou art come in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and thou hast taken possession of it, and dwellest therein:
इसके बाद, यह होगा कि जब तुम उस देश में प्रवेश करोगे, जो याहवेह तुम्हारे परमेश्वर तुम्हें मीरास-स्वरूप प्रदान कर रहे हैं, तुम उसका अधिग्रहण करोगे और उसमें बस जाओगे,
2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the soil, which thou shalt bring in from thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket; and thou shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God will choose to let his name dwell there.
तब तुम उस स्थान पर, जिसे याहवेह तुम्हारे परमेश्वर अपनी प्रतिष्ठा के लिए चुनेंगे, उस देश की सारी प्रथम उपज का एक अंश एक टोकरी में लेकर जाओगे.
3 And thou shalt come unto the priest that may be in those days, and thou shalt say unto him, I give thanks this day unto the Lord thy God, that I am come into the land which the Lord swore unto our fathers to give to us.
तुम उस समय पदासीन पुरोहित की उपस्थिति में जाकर कहोगे, “याहवेह, मेरे परमेश्वर के सामने आज मैं यह घोषित कर रहा हूं, कि मैंने उस देश में प्रवेश कर लिया है, जिसे प्रदान करने की प्रतिज्ञा याहवेह ने मेरे पूर्वजों से की थी.”
4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thy hand, and set it down before the altar of the Lord thy God.
तब वह पुरोहित तुम्हारे हाथ से वह टोकरी लेकर याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर की वेदी के सामने रख देगा.
5 And thou shalt commence and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian, wandering about, was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a family few in number, and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and numerous.
तुम याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर के सामने उत्तर में कहोगे: “मेरे पूर्वज अस्थिरवासी अरामी जाति के थे. वे मिस्र देश में प्रवासी रहे, वहां अल्प संख्यक थे, मगर वहां विशाल, मजबूत और असंख्यक राष्ट्र हो गए.
6 And the Egyptians treated us ill, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard labor;
लेकिन मिस्रवासियों ने हमारे साथ बुरा व्यवहार किया और अत्याचार पूरा हो गया. हम पर कठोर श्रम लाद दिया गया.
7 And then we cried unto the Eternal, the God of our fathers; and the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our trouble, and our oppression;
तब हमने अपने पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर याहवेह की दोहाई दी, और याहवेह ने हमारी सुन ली. उन्होंने हमारे अत्याचार और श्रम पीड़ा पर दृष्टि की.
8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs, and with wonders;
तब याहवेह ने हमें मिस्र देश से अपनी मजबूत, बढ़ाई हुई भुजा, भयंकर आतंक, चिन्ह और चमत्कारों के द्वारा निर्गत किया.
9 And he brought us unto this place, and gave unto us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
वह हमें इस स्थान पर ले आए हैं, हमें यह देश प्रदान कर दिया है, ऐसा देश, जिसमें दूध और शहद की बहुतायत है;
10 And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruits of the soil, which thou hast given me, O Lord; and thou shalt set it down before the Lord thy God, and prostrate thyself before the Lord thy God;
अब देखिए, याहवेह, आपके द्वारा दी इस भूमि की पहली उपज मैं यहां ले आया हूं.” तुम याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर के सामने यह प्रस्तुत कर दोगे और तुम याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर का स्तवन करोगे.
11 And thou shalt rejoice with every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thy house, thou, with the Levite, and the stranger that is in the midst of thee.
तुम, वह लेवीगोत्रज और वह परदेशी, जो तुम्हारे बीच रह रहा है, याहवेह तुम्हारे परमेश्वर द्वारा दी सारी उत्तम वस्तुओं के लिए अपने परिवार के साथ उल्लास मनाओगे.
12 When thou hast made an end of giving away all the tithe of thy produce in the third year, the year of the tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, and they have eaten it within thy gates, and are satisfied:
जब तृतीय साल में, जो दसवें अंश का साल है, तुम अपना समग्र दसवां अंश दे चुको, तब तुम यह उस लेवी को, उस प्रवासी को, अनाथ, और विधवा को दे दोगे, जिससे वे तुम्हारे साथ नगर में इसका उपभोग करते हुए संतुष्ट रह सकें.
13 Then shalt thou say before the Lord thy God, I have removed away the hallowed things out of the house, and I have also given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me; I have not deviated from thy commandments, and I have not forgotten;
याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर की उपस्थिति में तुम्हारे वचन ऐसे हों: “मैंने आपके आदेश के अनुरूप अपने घर में से पवित्र अंश लेकर मुझे दिए गए आपके आदेश के अनुसार लेवियों, यहां प्रवास कर रहे विदेशियों, अनाथों और विधवाओं को दे दिया है. न तो मैंने आपके आदेशों की आज्ञा टाली है, न ही उन्हें भुलाया है
14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I removed away aught thereof in an unclean state, nor have I given aught thereof for the dead: I have hearkened to the voice of the Lord my God, I have done all, just as thou hast commanded me.
मैंने इसका उपभोग न तो विलाप की स्थिति में किया है, न मैंने अशुद्धता की अवस्था में इसको छुआ है, और न मैंने इसमें से कुछ किसी मरे हुए को समर्पित किया है. मैंने शब्दश; याहवेह अपने परमेश्वर के आदेश का पालन किया है.
15 Look down from the habitation of thy holiness, from the heavens, and bless thy people Israel, and the soil which thou hast given unto us, as thou hast sworn unto our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
अपने पवित्र निवास स्थान स्वर्ग से दृष्टि कीजिए और अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल को और उस भूमि को, जो आपने हमारे पूर्वजों को अपनी प्रतिज्ञा के अनुसार प्रदान की है, जिसमें दूध और शहद की बहुतायत है, समृद्धि प्रदान कीजिए.”
16 This day the Lord thy God commandeth thee to do these statutes and ordinances; and thou shalt keep and do them with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.
आज याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर तुम्हें यह आदेश दे रहे हैं कि तुम इन नियमों और आदेशों का पालन करो; तब तुम्हें पूरे हृदय और पूरे प्राणों से इनके पालन करने के विषय में सावधानी रखनी ही होगी.
17 Thou hast this day acknowledged the Lord, that he is thy God, and that thou wilt walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his ordinances, and hearken unto his voice;
आज तुमने यह घोषणा कर दी है कि याहवेह ही तुम्हारे परमेश्वर हैं और यह भी कि तुम उनके द्वारा दी गई नीतियों का पालन करोगे; उनकी आज्ञाओं, उनके आदेशों और उनके नियमों का पालन करोगे और उन्हीं की सुनोगे.
18 And the Lord hath acknowledged thee this day, that thou art unto him a peculiar people, as he hath spoken unto thee, and that thou shouldst keep all his commandments;
आज याहवेह ने तुम्हें अपनी प्रजा, अपना कीमती धन घोषित कर दिया है, तुमसे की गई अपनी प्रतिज्ञा के अनुसार और यह कि ज़रूरी है कि तुम उसके सारे आदेशों का पालन करो.
19 So that he may set thee highest above all nations that he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be a holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.
और यह कि वह तुम्हें उन सभी जनताओं से, जो उनके द्वारा स्थापित किए गए हैं, उच्चतर बनाए रखेंगे, स्तुति के लिए कीर्ति के लिए और सम्मान के लिए और तुम याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर के लिए पवित्र प्रजा हो जाओगे; जैसा खुद उन्होंने कहा है.
