Deuteronomy 22
1 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his lamb go astray, and withdraw thyself from them: thou shalt surely bring them back again unto thy brother.
Hautakiwi kumtazama ng’ombe au kondoo wa Muisraeli mwenzako akikosea njia na ukajificha kwao; hakika unapaswa kuwarejesha kwake.
2 But if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or thou know him not: then shalt thou take it unto thy own house, and it shall remain with thee until thy brother inquire after it, and then shalt thou restore it to him.
Iwapo Muisraeli mwenzako hayupo karibu nawe, au kama haumfahamu, basi unapaswa kumleta mnyama huyo nyumbani kwako, na lazima uwe naye mpaka pale mwenyewe atakapomtafuta, na kisha lazima umrejeshee mwenyewe.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and in like manner shalt thou do with his raiment; and in like manner shalt thou do with every lost thing of thy brother's, which may have been lost to him, and which thou hast found; thou art not at liberty to withdraw thyself.
Unapaswa kufanya vivyo hivyo kwa punda wake; unapaswa kufanya vivyo hivyo na vazi lake; unapaswa kufanya vivyo hivyo kwa kila kitu alichopoteza Muisraeli mwenzako, kitu chochote alichopoteza na ukakipata; hautakiwi kujificha.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fallen down by the way, and withdraw thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
Haupaswi kumwona punda wa Muisraeli mwenzako au ng’ombe wake kaanguka chini barabarani na kujificha dhidi yao; hakika unapaswa kumsaidia kumwinua tena.
5 A woman shall not have upon her the apparel of a man, and a man shall not put on a woman's garment; for an abomination unto the Lord thy God are all who do this.
Mwanamke hatakiwi kuvaa kinachokusudiwa kwa mwanamume, vilevile mwanamume hapaswi kuvaa mavazi ya mwanamke; kwa maana yeyote afanyaye vitu hivi ni chukizo kwa Yahwe Mungu wako.
6 If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way, on any tree, or on the ground, with young ones, or with eggs, and the mother be sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs: thou shalt not take the mother with the young;
Iwapo kiota cha ndege kikaonekana barabarani mbele yako, kwenye mti wowote au juu ya ardhi, kikiwa na makinda ya ndege au mayai ndani mwake, na mama yao akiwa juu yao au juu ya mayai, haupaswi kumchukua mama pamoja na makinda au mayai yake.
7 But thou shalt surely let the mother go, and the young thou mayest take to thyself; in order that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest live many days.
Hakika unapaswa kumuacha mama aende zake, ila makinda yake unaweza kuyachukua. Tii amri hii ili uenende vyema, na siku zako ziweze kurefushwa.
8 When thou buildest a new house, thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof; that thou bring not blood upon thy house, if any one were to fall from there.
Ujengapo nyumba mpya, basi unapaswa kujenga kitalu kwa ajili ya paa yako ili usilete damu juu ya nyumba yako mtu akianguka kutoka pale.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds; that the ripe fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of the vineyard, be not defiled.
Haupaswi kupanda shamba lako la mizabibu kwa mbegu mbili, ili kwamba mavuno yote yasichukuliwe na sehemu takatifu, mbegu uliyoipanda pamoja na matunda ya mzabibu.
10 Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together.
Haupaswi kulimia ng’ombe na punda kwa pamoja.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, of woolen and linen together.
Haupaswi kuvaa kitambaa kilichotengenezwa kwa sufu na kitani kwa pamoja.
12 Thou shalt make thyself fringes upon the four corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
Unapaswa kutengeneza pindo katika pembe nne za nguo unayoivaa.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
Iwapo mwanamume kachukua mke, kisha kalala naye, na baadae kumchukia,
14 And he lay an accusation against her, and spread abroad an evil name upon her, and say, This woman I took [for wife], and when I came near to her, I found no tokens of virginity in her:
na kisha kumtuhumu kwa vitu vya aibu na kumharibia sifa yake kwa kusema, “Nilimchukua huyu mwanamke, lakini nilipomkaribia sikukuta ushahidi waubikra kwake”.
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city, to the gate.
Kisha baba na mama mzazi wa binti wanatakiwa kupeleka ushahidi wa ubikra wake kwa wazee mlangoni mwa mji.
16 And the father of the damsel shall say unto the elders, My daughter I gave unto this man for wife; but he hath conceived hatred toward her;
Baba wa binti anapaswa kuwaambia wazee, “nilimpatia binti yangu kwa mwanamume huyu awe mkewe, naye anamchukia.
17 And, lo, he hath laid an accusation [against her], saying, I have found no tokens of virginity in thy daughter; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity; and they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
Tazama, amemtuhumu na vitu vya aibu na kusema, “Sikukuta ushahidi wa ubikra kwa binti yako”. Lakini ushahidi huu hapa wa ubikra wa binti yangu”. Kisha watatandaza shuka mbele ya wazee wa mji.
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
Wazee wa mji wanapaswa kumchukua mwanamume huyo na kumuadhibu;
19 And they shall amerce him in a hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel; because he hath spread abroad an evil name upon a virgin of Israel; and she shall remain his wife; he shall not be at liberty to put her away all his days.
nao wanapaswa kumtoza faini ya shekeli mia moja ya fedha, na kumpatia baba wa binti, kwa sababu mwanamume kasababisha sifa mbaya kwa bikra wa Israeli. Binti huyu anapaswa kuwa mke wake; mwanamume huyu hatakiwi kumfukuza katika siku zake zote.
20 But if this thing was true, there have not been found tokens of virginity in the damsel:
Ila kama jambo hili ni la kweli, kwamba ushahidi wa bikra ya binti haukupatikana,
21 Then shall they lead out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die; because she hath wrought a disgraceful deed in Israel, to commit incest in her father's house; and thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.
basi wanapaswa kumpeleka binti mlangoni kwa baba yake, na kisha wanamume wa mji wake wanatakiwa kumpiga kwa mawe hadi afe, kwa sababu amefanya jambo la aibu katika Israeli, kwa kutenda kama kahaba chini ya nyumba ya baba yake, nanyi mtakuwa mmeondoa uovu miongoni mwenu.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband: then shall both of them die, the man that lieth with the woman, and the woman; and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
Iwapo mwanamume kakutwa analala na mwanamke ambaye ni mke wa mtu, basi wote wanapaswa kufa, mwanamume aliyelala na mwanamke pamoja na mwanamke mwenyewe; nanyi mtakuwa mmeondoa uovu miongoni mwenu.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto a man, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her:
Iwapo kuna msichana bikra, ambaye amechumbiwa na mwanamume, kisha mwanamume mwingine kamkuta mjini na kulala naye,
24 Then shall ye lead them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not [for aid] in the city; and the man, because he hath done violence to his neighbor's wife; and thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.
wachukueni wote wawili malangoni mwa mji, na kuwapiga mawe. Unapaswa kumpiga msichana mawe, kwa sababu hakupaza sauti kuomba msaada, ingawa alikuwa ndani ya mji. Unapaswa kumpiga mwanamume mawe, kwa sababu amemwingilia mke wa jirani yake; nanyi mtakuwa mmeondoa uovu miongoni mwenu
25 But if in the field the man should find the betrothed damsel, and the man take hold of her by force, and lie with her: then shall the man that lay with her die alone;
Lakini kama mwanamume amemkuta msichana aliyechumbiwa shambani, na kama akamkamata na kulala naye, basi mwanamume pekee aliyelala naye ndiye lazima afe.
26 But unto the damsel shalt thou not do any thing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death; for as when a man riseth against his neighbor, and striketh him dead. even so is this matter;
Lakini kwake msichana msifanye chochote; hakuna dhambi inayostahili kifo kwake msichana. Kwa maana suala hili ni kama mwanamume amshambuliapo jirani yake na kumuua.
27 For in the field did he find her; had the betrothed damsel even cried, there would have been none to aid her.
Kwa maana alimkuta shambani; msichana huyu aliyechumbiwa alipaza sauti, lakini hapakuwa na mtu wa kumuokoa.
28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, who is not betrothed, and lay fast hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found:
Iwapo mwanamume amemkuta msichana ambaye ni bikra lakini hajachumbiwa, na kama akamkamata na kulala naye, na kama wakagundulika,
29 Then shall the man who lieth with her give unto the father of the damsel fifty shekels of silver; and she shall become his wife, because he hath done violence to her, he shall not be at liberty to put her away all his days.
basi mwanamume aliyelala naye lazima atoe shekeli hamsini za fedha kwa baba wa msichana, naye lazima awe mke wake, kwa sababu amemdhalilisha. Hatakiwi kumfukuza katika siku zake zote.
30 A man shall not take his lather's wife, and he shall not uncover his father's skirt.
Mwanamume hapaswi kumchukua mke wa baba yake kama wake; hatakiwi kuchukua haki za ndoa za baba yake.
