Deuteronomy 22
1 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his lamb go astray, and withdraw thyself from them: thou shalt surely bring them back again unto thy brother.
സഹോദരന്റെ കാളയോ ആടോ തെറ്റി ഉഴലുന്നതു നീ കണ്ടാൽ അതിനെ വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയാതെ സഹോദരന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണം.
2 But if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or thou know him not: then shalt thou take it unto thy own house, and it shall remain with thee until thy brother inquire after it, and then shalt thou restore it to him.
സഹോദരൻ നിനക്കു സമീപസ്ഥനല്ല, നീ അവനെ അറികയുമില്ല എന്നുവരികിൽ അതിനെ നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം; സഹോദരൻ അതിനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു വരുംവരെ അതു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇരിക്കേണം; പിന്നെ അവന്നു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and in like manner shalt thou do with his raiment; and in like manner shalt thou do with every lost thing of thy brother's, which may have been lost to him, and which thou hast found; thou art not at liberty to withdraw thyself.
അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അവന്റെ കഴുതയുടെയും വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെയും സഹോദരന്റെ പക്കൽനിന്നു കാണാതെ പോയിട്ടു നീ കണ്ടെത്തിയ ഏതൊരു വസ്തുവിന്റെയും കാര്യത്തിൽ ചെയ്യേണം; നീ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയേണ്ടതല്ല.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fallen down by the way, and withdraw thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
സഹോദരന്റെ കഴുതയോ കാളയോ വഴിയിൽ വീണുകിടക്കുന്നതു നീ കണ്ടാൽ വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയാതെ അതിനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിപ്പാൻ അവനെ സഹായിക്കേണം.
5 A woman shall not have upon her the apparel of a man, and a man shall not put on a woman's garment; for an abomination unto the Lord thy God are all who do this.
പുരുഷന്റെ വസ്ത്രം സ്ത്രീയും സ്ത്രീയുടെ വസ്ത്രം പുരുഷനും ധരിക്കരുതു; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നവരൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.
6 If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way, on any tree, or on the ground, with young ones, or with eggs, and the mother be sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs: thou shalt not take the mother with the young;
മരത്തിന്മേലെങ്കിലും നിലത്തെങ്കിലും കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോ മുട്ടകളോ ഉള്ള ഒരു പക്ഷിക്കൂടു നീ വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു കണ്ടാൽ തള്ള കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളിന്മേലോ മുട്ടകളിന്മേലോ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നീ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ തള്ളയെ പിടിക്കരുതു.
7 But thou shalt surely let the mother go, and the young thou mayest take to thyself; in order that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest live many days.
നിനക്കു നന്നായിരിപ്പാനും ദീർഘായുസ്സുണ്ടാകുവാനും തള്ളയെ വിട്ടുകളയേണം; കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ എടുത്തുകൊള്ളാം.
8 When thou buildest a new house, thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof; that thou bring not blood upon thy house, if any one were to fall from there.
ഒരു പുതിയ വീടു പണിതാൽ നിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്മുകളിൽനിന്നു വല്ലവനും വീണിട്ടു വീട്ടിന്മേൽ രക്തപാതകം വരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അതിന്നു കൈമതിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds; that the ripe fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of the vineyard, be not defiled.
നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ വേറൊരു വക വിത്തും ഇടരുതു; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താൽ നീ ഇട്ട വിത്തിന്റെ വിളവും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ അനുഭവവും വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരംവകെക്കു ചേർന്നുപോകും.
10 Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together.
കാളയെയും കഴുതയെയും ഒന്നിച്ചു പൂട്ടി ഉഴരുതു.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, of woolen and linen together.
ആട്ടുരോമവും ചണവും കൂടിക്കലർന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കരുതു.
12 Thou shalt make thyself fringes upon the four corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
നീ പുതെക്കുന്ന മേലാടയുടെ നാലു കോണിലും പൊടിപ്പുണ്ടാക്കേണം.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
ഒരു പുരുഷൻ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നശേഷം അവളെ വെറുത്തു:
14 And he lay an accusation against her, and spread abroad an evil name upon her, and say, This woman I took [for wife], and when I came near to her, I found no tokens of virginity in her:
ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ത്രീയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നാറെ അവളിൽ കന്യകാലക്ഷണം കണ്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെ മേൽ നാണക്കേടു ചുമത്തി അപവാദം പറഞ്ഞുണ്ടാക്കിയാൽ
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city, to the gate.
യുവതിയുടെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാർ അവളുടെ കന്യകാലക്ഷണങ്ങളെടുത്തു പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.
16 And the father of the damsel shall say unto the elders, My daughter I gave unto this man for wife; but he hath conceived hatred toward her;
യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പൻ മൂപ്പന്മാരോടു: ഞാൻ എന്റെ മകളെ ഈ പുരുഷന്നു ഭാര്യയായി കൊടുത്തു; എന്നാൽ അവന്നു അവളോടു അനിഷ്ടമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
17 And, lo, he hath laid an accusation [against her], saying, I have found no tokens of virginity in thy daughter; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity; and they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മകളിൽ കന്യകാലക്ഷണം കണ്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെമേൽ നാണക്കേടു ചുമത്തുന്നു; എന്നാൽ എന്റെ മകളുടെ കന്യകാലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ ഇതാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ ആ വസ്ത്രം വിടർക്കേണം.
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
അപ്പോൾ പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ ആ പുരുഷനെ പിടിച്ചു ശിക്ഷിക്കേണം.
19 And they shall amerce him in a hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel; because he hath spread abroad an evil name upon a virgin of Israel; and she shall remain his wife; he shall not be at liberty to put her away all his days.
അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഒരു കന്യകയുടെമേൽ അപവാദം പറഞ്ഞുണ്ടാക്കിയതിനാൽ അവർ അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു നൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശു പിഴ ചെയ്യിച്ചു യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പന്നു കൊടുക്കേണം; അവൾ അവന്നു തന്നേ ഭാര്യയായിരിക്കേണം; അവന്നു തന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലത്തൊരിക്കലും അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൂടാ.
20 But if this thing was true, there have not been found tokens of virginity in the damsel:
എന്നാൽ യുവതിയിൽ കന്യകാലക്ഷണം കണ്ടില്ല എന്നുള്ള വാക്കു സത്യം ആയിരുന്നാൽ
21 Then shall they lead out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die; because she hath wrought a disgraceful deed in Israel, to commit incest in her father's house; and thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.
അവർ യുവതിയെ അവളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടുവാതിൽക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി അവൾ യിസ്രായേലിൽ വഷളത്വം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടിൽവെച്ചു വേശ്യാദോഷം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു അവളുടെ പട്ടണക്കാർ അവളെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband: then shall both of them die, the man that lieth with the woman, and the woman; and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
ഒരു പുരുഷന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സ്ത്രീയോടുകൂടെ ഒരുത്തൻ ശയിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടാൽ സ്ത്രീയോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ച പുരുഷനും സ്ത്രീയും ഇരുവരും മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto a man, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her:
വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന കന്യകയായ ഒരു യുവതിയെ ഒരുത്തൻ പട്ടണത്തിൽവെച്ചു കണ്ടു അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ചാൽ
24 Then shall ye lead them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not [for aid] in the city; and the man, because he hath done violence to his neighbor's wife; and thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.
യുവതി പട്ടണത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നിട്ടും നിലവിളിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടും പുരുഷൻ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യക്കു പോരായ്ക വരുത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങൾ അവരെ ഇരുവരെയും പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.
25 But if in the field the man should find the betrothed damsel, and the man take hold of her by force, and lie with her: then shall the man that lay with her die alone;
എന്നാൽ വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു യുവതിയെ ഒരുത്തൻ വയലിൽവെച്ചു കണ്ടു ബലാൽക്കാരംചെയ്തു അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ചാൽ പുരുഷൻ മാത്രം മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.
26 But unto the damsel shalt thou not do any thing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death; for as when a man riseth against his neighbor, and striketh him dead. even so is this matter;
യുവതിയോടോ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യരുതു; അവൾക്കു മരണയോഗ്യമായ പാപമില്ല. ഒരുത്തൻ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ നേരെ കയർത്തു അവനെ കൊല്ലുന്നതുപോലെയത്രേ ഈ കാര്യം.
27 For in the field did he find her; had the betrothed damsel even cried, there would have been none to aid her.
വയലിൽവെച്ചല്ലോ അവൻ അവളെ കണ്ടെത്തിയതു; യുവതി നിലവിളിച്ചാലും അവളെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ആൾ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.
28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, who is not betrothed, and lay fast hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found:
വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിയാത്ത കന്യകയായ ഒരു യുവതിയെ ഒരുത്തൻ കണ്ടു അവളെ പിടിച്ചു അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും അവരെ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ
29 Then shall the man who lieth with her give unto the father of the damsel fifty shekels of silver; and she shall become his wife, because he hath done violence to her, he shall not be at liberty to put her away all his days.
അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ച പുരുഷൻ യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പന്നു അമ്പതു വെള്ളിക്കാശു കൊടുക്കേണം; അവൾ അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയാകയും വേണം. അവൻ അവൾക്കു പോരായ്കവരുത്തിയല്ലോ; അവന്നു തന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലത്തൊരിക്കലും അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൂടാ.
30 A man shall not take his lather's wife, and he shall not uncover his father's skirt.
അപ്പന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ ആരും പരിഗ്രഹിക്കരുതു; അപ്പന്റെ വസ്ത്രം നീക്കുകയും അരുതു.
