Deuteronomy 16

1 Observe the month of Abib, and prepare the passover-sacrifice unto the Lord thy God; for in the month of Abib did the Lord thy God bring thee forth out of Egypt by night.

Halte den Monat Abib, und bereite das Passah Jehovah, deinem Gott, denn im Monat Abib hat Jehovah, dein Gott, dich ausgeführt aus Ägypten in der Nacht.

2 And thou shalt sacrifice the passover-offering unto the Lord thy God of sheep and oxen, in the place which the Lord will choose to let his name dwell there.

Und du sollst Jehovah, deinem Gott, das Passah opfern, Kleinvieh und Rind, an dem Orte, den Jehovah erwählen wird, Seinen Namen allda wohnen zu lassen.

3 Thou shalt not eat therewith any leavened bread: seven days shalt thou eat therewith unleavened bread, the bread of affliction; for in haste didst thou go forth out of the land of Egypt; in order that thou mayest remember the day of thy going forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.

Du sollst an ihm nichts Gesäuertes essen, sieben Tage sollst du an ihm essen ungesäuertes Brot des Elends; denn in Hast bist du aus Ägyptenland ausgegangen, auf daß du gedenkst des Tages, da du auszogst aus Ägypten- land, alle Tage deines Lebens.

4 And there shall not be seen with thee any leaven in all thy borders seven days: neither shall there any of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst in the evening, on the first day, remain all night until the morning.

Und man soll in sieben Tagen keinen Sauerteig in all deinen Grenzen sehen, und nichts von dem Fleisch, das du am Abend am ersten Tage opferst, soll über Nacht bis zum Morgen bleiben.

5 Thou mayest not slay the passover within any of thy gates, which the Lord thy God giveth thee;

Du vermagst nicht das Passah zu opfern in einem der Tore, die Jehovah, dein Gott, dir geben wird;

6 But at the place which the Lord thy God will choose to let his name dwell in, there shalt thou slay the passover at evening, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.

Sondern am Orte, den Jehovah, dein Gott, erwählt, Seinen Namen allda wohnen zu lassen, sollst du das Passah opfern am Abend beim Untergang der Sonne, zur bestimmten Zeit, da du aus Ägypten zogst.

7 And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the Lord thy God will choose; and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.

Und sollst es kochen und essen am Orte, den Jehovah, dein Gott, erwählt, und dann dich wenden am Morgen und nach deinen Zelten gehen.

8 Six days shalt thou eat unleavened bread; and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work.

Sechs Tage sollst du Ungesäuertes essen, und am siebenten Tag ist Festversammlung Jehovah, deinem Gott. Da sollst du keine Arbeit tun.

9 Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thyself: from the time thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn, shalt thou begin to number seven weeks.

Sieben Wochen sollst du dir zählen. Von da an, wo die Sichel anfängt an die stehende Saat zu kommen, sollst du anfangen sieben Wochen zu zählen.

10 And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the Lord thy God with a tribute of a freewill-offering of thy hand, which thou shalt give: according as the Lord thy God shall have blessed thee.

Und du sollst das Fest der Wochen feiern Jehovah, deinem Gott, mit der freiwilligen Schatzung deiner Hand, die du gibst, je wie Jehovah, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat.

11 And thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are in the midst of thee, in the place which the Lord thy God will choose to let his name dwell there.

Und sollst fröhlich sein vor Jehovah, deinem Gott, du und dein Sohn und deine Tochter und dein Knecht und deine Magd und der Levit, der in deinen Toren ist, und der Fremdling und die Waise und die Witwe, die in deiner Mitte sind, an dem Orte, den Jehovah, dein Gott, erwählt, Seinen Namen allda wohnen zu lassen.

12 And thou shalt remember that thou hast been a bond-man in Egypt; and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.

Und sollst gedenken, daß du ein Knecht warst in Ägypten, und sollst diese Satzungen halten und tun.

13 The feast of tabernacles shalt thou hold for thyself seven days, when thou hast gathered in the produce of thy threshing-floor and of thy wine-press:

Das Fest der Laubhütten sollst du feiern sieben Tage, wenn du einsammelst von deiner Tenne und von deiner Kelter.

14 And thou shalt rejoice on thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.

Und sollst fröhlich sein an deinem Feste, du, dein Sohn und deine Tochter, und dein Knecht und deine Magd und der Levit und der Fremdling und die Waise und die Witwe, die in deinen Toren sind.

15 Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord will choose; because the Lord thy God will bless thee in all thy product, and in all the work of thy hands, and thou shalt only rejoice.

Sieben Tage sollst du das Fest feiern Jehovah, deinem Gott, an dem Orte, den Jehovah erwählt; denn Jehovah, dein Gott, wird dich segnen in all deinem Ertrag und in allem Tun deiner Hände; und du sollst nur fröhlich sein.

16 Three times in the year shall every one of thy males appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he will choose: on the feast of unleavened bread, and on the feast of weeks, and on the feast of tabernacles; and no one shall appear before the Lord empty;

Dreimal im Jahr soll alles, was männlich bei dir ist, vor dem Angesicht Jehovahs, deines Gottes, erscheinen an dem Orte, den Er Sich erwählt, am Fest des Ungesäuerten und am Fest der Wochen und am Laubhüttenfest, und soll vor dem Angesichte Jehovahs nicht leer erscheinen.

17 Every man according to what his hand can give, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee.

Jeder Mann nach der Gabe seiner Hand, je nach dem Segen Jehovahs, deines Gottes, den Er dir gegeben hat.

18 Judges and officers shalt thou appoint unto thyself in all thy gates, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with a just judgment.

Richter und Vorsteher sollst du dir setzen in all deinen Toren, die Jehovah, dein Gott, dir geben wird, nach deinen Stämmen, auf daß sie richten das Volk mit dem Gerichte der Gerechtigkeit.

19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, and thou shalt not take a bribe; for the bribe blindeth the eyes of the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

Du sollst das Recht nicht ablenken, keine Person ansehen und kein Geschenk nehmen; denn das Geschenk blendet die Augen der Weisen und verdreht die Worte der Gerechten.

20 Justice, only justice shalt thou pursue; in order that thou mayest live, and retain possession of the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Der Gerechtigkeit, der Gerechtigkeit sollst du nachsetzen, auf daß du lebest und einnehmest das Land, das Jehovah, dein Gott, dir geben wird.

21 Thou shalt not plant unto thyself a grove, any tree, near the altar of the Lord thy God, which thou shalt make unto thyself.

Keine Aschere von irgendeinem Holze sollst du dir pflanzen, neben dem Altar Jehovahs, deines Gottes, den du dir machst.

22 Neither shalt thou set thee up any statue, which the Lord thy God hateth.

Auch sollst du dir keine Bildsäulen aufrichten, die Jehovah, dein Gott, hasset.
