Deuteronomy 12

1 These are the statutes and ordinances, which ye shall observe to do, in the land which the Lord, the God of thy fathers, giveth unto thee to possess it, and all the days that ye live upon the earth.

Acestea sunt statutele şi judecăţile de care să luaţi seama să le împliniţi în ţara pe care ţi-o dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul părinţilor tăi, ca să o stăpâneşti, în toate zilele cât veţi trăi pe pământ.

2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places whereon the nations which ye are about to drive out served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree;

Să nimiciţi cu desăvârşire toate locurile unde naţiunile pe care le veţi stăpâni au servit dumnezeilor lor, pe munţii cei înalţi şi pe dealuri şi sub orice pom verde,

3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their statues, and their groves shall ye burn with fire; and the graven images of their gods shall ye hew down; and ye shall destroy their name out of the same place.

Şi să le dărâmaţi altarele şi să le sfărâmaţi stâlpii şi să le ardeţi cu foc dumbrăvile şi să retezaţi chipurile cioplite ale dumnezeilor lor şi să le nimiciţi numele din acel loc.

4 Ye shall not do so unto the Lord your God;

Voi să nu faceţi astfel DOMNULUI Dumnezeul vostru!

5 But unto the place which the Lord your God may choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye repair, and thither shalt thou come;

Ci la locul pe care îl va alege DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru dintre toate triburile voastre, ca să îşi pună numele acolo, adică la locuinţa lui, să căutaţi; şi acolo să veniţi,

6 And ye shall bring thither your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill-offerings, and the first-born of your herds and of your flocks;

Şi acolo să aduceţi ofrandele voastre arse şi sacrificiile voastre şi zeciuielile voastre şi ofrandele legănate ale mâinii voastre şi promisiunile voastre şi ofrandele voastre de bunăvoie şi întâii născuţi din cirezile voastre şi din turmele voastre.

7 And ye shall eat there before the Lord your God, and ye shall rejoice with all the acquisition of your hand, ye and your households, wherewith the Lord thy God may have blessed thee.

Şi acolo să mâncaţi înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul vostru şi să vă bucuraţi de tot ce vă atinge mâna, voi şi casele voastre, în care te-a binecuvântat DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău.

8 Ye shall not do after all the manner that we do here this day, every one whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

Să nu faceţi precum facem noi aici, astăzi, fiecare tot ce este drept înaintea ochilor săi.

9 For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Pentru că nu aţi ajuns încă la odihna şi la moştenirea pe care ţi-o dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău.

10 But ye will go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which the Lord your God causeth you to inherit, and he will give you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye may dwell in safety.

Dar după ce veţi trece Iordanul şi veţi locui în ţara pe care DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru v-o dă să o moşteniţi şi după ce vă va da odihnă din partea tuturor duşmanilor voştri de jur-împrejur, astfel încât să locuiţi în siguranță,

11 And then shall it be, that the place which the Lord your God will choose to cause his name to dwell there, —[even] thither shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye may vow unto the Lord;

Atunci va fi un loc pe care îl va alege DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru, ca să facă să locuiască numele său acolo; acolo să aduceţi tot ce vă poruncesc; ofrandele voastre arse şi sacrificiile voastre, zeciuielile voastre şi ofranda ridicată a mâinii voastre şi toate promisiunile voastre alese pe care le promiteţi DOMNULUI,

12 And ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your men-servants, and your maid-servants, and the Levite who is within your gates; because he hath not any portion nor inheritance with you.

Şi să vă bucuraţi înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul vostru, voi şi fiii voştri şi fiicele voastre şi robii voştri şi roabele voastre şi levitul care este înăuntrul porţilor voastre, pentru că el nu are nici parte nici moştenire cu voi.

13 Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt-offerings in every place which thou mayest see;

Ia seama la tine însuţi să nu aduci ofrandele tale arse în orice loc pe care îl vezi,

14 But in the place which the Lord will choose in one of thy tribes, there shalt thou offer thy burnt-offerings, and there shalt thou do all that I command thee.

Ci în locul pe care îl va alege DOMNUL într-unul din triburile tale, acolo să aduci ofrandele tale arse şi acolo să faci tot ce îţi poruncesc eu.

15 Notwithstanding, according to all the longing of thy soul, mayest thou kill and eat flesh, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee, in all thy gates: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.

Totuşi, poţi să înjunghii şi să mănânci carne în toate porţile tale, după tot ce pofteşte sufletul tău, conform cu binecuvântarea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău, pe care ţi-a dat-o, cel necurat şi cel curat pot să mănânce din ea, ca din căprioară şi din cerb.

16 Only the blood shall ye not eat: upon the earth shall ye pour it out as water.

Numai să nu mâncaţi sângele; să îl vărsaţi pe pământ ca apa.

17 Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, nor the first-born of thy herds or of thy flocks, nor any of thy vows which thou mayest vow, nor thy freewill-offerings, and the heave-offering of thy hand;

Nu poţi să mănânci înăuntrul porţilor tale zeciuiala grâului tău, sau a vinului tău, sau a untdelemnului tău, sau întâii născuţi din cirezile tale sau din turma ta, nici vreuna din promisiunile pe care le promiţi, nici ofrandele tale de bunăvoie, nici ofranda ridicată a mâinii tale,

18 But before the Lord thy God must thou eat them in the place which the Lord thy God may choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite who is within thy gates; and thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God with all the acquisition of thy hand.

Ci trebuie să le mănânci înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău în locul pe care îl va alege DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău, tu şi fiul tău şi fiica ta şi servitorul tău şi servitoarea ta şi levitul care este înăuntrul porţilor tale; şi să te bucuri înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău de toate lucrurile pe care îţi vei fi pus mâinile.

19 Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon thy land.

Ia seama la tine însuţi să nu îl părăseşti pe levit cât timp trăieşti pe pământ.

20 When the Lord thy God will enlarge thy border, as he hath spoken unto thee, and thou dost say, I wish to eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh: then mayest thou, according to all the longing of thy soul, eat flesh.

Când DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău îţi va lărgi hotarul, precum ţi-a promis, şi vei spune: Carne doresc să mănânc, fiindcă sufletul tău tânjeşte să mănânce carne, poţi să mănânci carne, după tot ce pofteşte sufletul tău.

21 If the place which the Lord thy God may choose to put his name there be too far for thee: then mayest thou kill of thy herds and of thy flocks, which the Lord hath given thee, as I have commanded thee; and thou shalt eat in thy gates according to all the longing of thy soul.

Dacă locul pe care l-a ales DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău ca să îşi pună numele acolo, este prea departe de tine, atunci să înjunghii din cireada ta şi din turma ta, pe care ţi le-a dat DOMNUL, precum ţi-am poruncit, şi să mănânci în porţile tale după tot ce pofteşte sufletul tău.

22 But as the roebuck and the hart are eaten, so shalt thou eat the same: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof together.

Precum se mănâncă şi căprioara şi cerbul, astfel să mănânci din ele, cel necurat şi cel curat să mănânce deopotrivă din ele.

23 Only be firm so as not to eat the blood; for the blood is the life; and thou shalt not eat the life with the flesh.

Numai asigură-te că nu mănânci sângele, pentru că sângele este viaţa; şi să nu mănânci viaţa cu carnea.

24 Thou shalt not eat it: upon the earth shalt thou pour it out like water.

Să nu îl mănânci; să îl verşi pe pământ ca apa.

25 Thou shalt not eat it; in order that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou wilt do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.

Să nu îl mănânci, ca să îţi fie bine ţie şi copiilor tăi după tine, când vei face ce este drept înaintea ochilor DOMNULUI.

26 Nevertheless thy holy things which thou mayest have, and thy vows, shalt thou take, and go unto the place which the Lord may choose:

Ci să iei cele sfinte ale tale pe care le ai şi promisiunile tale şi să mergi la locul pe care îl va alege DOMNUL,

27 And thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the Lord thy God; and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the Lord thy God, and the flesh shalt thou eat.

Şi să oferi ofrandele tale arse, carnea şi sângele, pe altarul DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău; şi sângele sacrificiilor tale să fie vărsat pe altarul DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău, iar carnea să o mănânci.

28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee; in order that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou wilt do what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord thy God.

Ia aminte şi ascultă toate aceste cuvinte pe care ţi le poruncesc, ca să îţi fie bine, ţie şi copiilor tăi după tine pentru totdeauna, când vei face ce este bine şi drept înaintea ochilor DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău.

29 When the Lord thy God will cut off the nations, whither thou goest to drive them out from before thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land:

Când DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău va stârpi dinaintea ta naţiunile la care mergi să le stăpâneşti şi să le alungi şi să locuieşti în ţara lor,

30 Then take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after they have been destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

Ia seama la tine însuţi să nu fii prins în cursă urmându-le lor, după ce vor fi nimicite dinaintea ta; şi să nu întrebi de dumnezeii lor, spunând: Cum au servit naţiunile acestea dumnezeilor lor? Tot astfel voi face şi eu.

31 Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God; for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters have they burnt in the fire to their gods.

Tu să nu faci astfel DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău, pentru că tot ce este urâciune înaintea DOMNULUI, ce urăşte el, ei au făcut dumnezeilor lor; căci chiar pe fiii lor şi pe fiicele lor i-au ars în foc pentru dumnezeii lor.

32 What thing soever I command you, even that shall ye observe to do: thou shalt not add thereto, and thou shalt not diminish therefrom.

Luaţi seama să faceţi orice lucru vă poruncesc, să nu adăugaţi la el, nici să nu scădeţi din el.
