Daniel 6
1 Darius deemed it proper, and he set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty lieutenants, who should be over all the kingdom;
௧ராஜ்ஜியம் முழுவதையும் ஆளுவதற்காகத் தன் ராஜ்ஜியத்தின்மேல் நூற்றிருபது தேசாதிபதிகளையும்,
2 And over these, three presidents, of whom Daniel was one; that these lieutenants should give accounts unto them, so that the king might suffer no damage.
௨ராஜாவிற்கு நஷ்டம் வராதபடிக்கு அந்த தேசாதிபதிகள் கணக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கிறதற்காக அவர்களுக்கு மேலாக மூன்று அதிகாரிகளையும் ஏற்படுத்துவது தரியுவிற்கு நலமென்று காணப்பட்டது; இவர்களில் தானியேலும் ஒருவனாயிருந்தான்.
3 Then did this Daniel excel [all] the presidents and lieutenants, because a superior spirit was in him: and the king thought to appoint him over the whole kingdom.
௩இப்படியிருக்கும்போது தானியேல் அதிகாரிகளுக்கும் தேசாதிபதிகளுக்கும் மேலானவனாயிருந்தான்; தானியேலுக்குள் விசேஷித்த ஆவி இருந்ததால் அவனை ராஜ்ஜியம் முழுவதற்கும் அதிகாரியாக ஏற்படுத்த ராஜா நினைத்தான்.
4 Then sought the presidents and lieutenants to find a pretext against Daniel on account of the management of the kingdom; but they were not able to find any pretext or fault, forasmuch as he was faithful, and no kind of error or fault was to be found on him.
௪அப்பொழுது அதிகாரிகளும் தேசாதிபதிகளும் ராஜ்ஜியத்தின் விசாரிப்பிலே தானியேலைக் குற்றப்படுத்தும்படி காரணத்தைத் தேடினார்கள்; ஆனாலும் ஒரு காரணத்தையும் குற்றத்தையும் கண்டுபிடிக்க அவர்களால் முடியாமலிருந்தது; அவன் உண்மையுள்ளவனாக இருந்ததால் அவன்மேல் சுமத்த எந்தவொரு குற்றமும் குறைவும் காணப்படவில்லை.
5 Then said these men, We shall not find any pretext against this Daniel, except we find it against him in the law of his God.
௫அப்பொழுது அந்த மனிதர்கள்: நாம் இந்த தானியேலை அவனுடைய தேவனைப்பற்றிய வேதவிஷயத்திலே குற்றப்படுத்தும் காரணத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்தாலொழிய அவனை வேறொன்றிலும் குற்றப்படுத்தும் காரணத்தைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கமுடியாது என்றார்கள்.
6 Then came these presidents and lieutenants tumultuously to the king, and thus said they unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
௬பின்பு அந்தப் அதிகாரிகளும் தேசாதிபதிகளும் ஒன்றுகூடி ராஜாவினிடத்தில் போய், அவனை நோக்கி: தரியு ராஜாவே, நீர் என்றும் வாழ்க.
7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the superintendents, and the lieutenants, the counsellors, and the governors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm prohibition, that whosoever will ask any thing by prayer of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions.
௭எவனாகிலும் முப்பது நாட்கள்வரையில் ராஜாவாகிய உம்மைத்தவிர எந்த தேவனையானாலும் மனிதனையானாலும் நோக்கி, எந்தவொரு காரியத்தைக்குறித்து விண்ணப்பம்செய்தால், அவன் சிங்கங்களின் குகையிலே போடப்பட, ராஜா கட்டளை பிறப்பித்து, உறுதியான உத்திரவிடவேண்டுமென்று ராஜ்ஜியத்தினுடைய எல்லா அதிகாரிகளும், தேசாதிபதிகளும், பிரபுக்களும், மந்திரிமார்களும், தலைவர்களும் ஆலோசனை செய்துகொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
8 Now, O king, establish the prohibition, and sign the writing, that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which is not to be repealed.
௮ஆதலால் இப்போதும் ராஜாவே, மேதியர்களுக்கும் பெர்சியர்களுக்கும் இருக்கிற மாறாத பிரமாணத்தின்படியே அந்த உத்திரவு மாற்றப்படாதபடி நீர் அதைக் கட்டளையிட்டு, அதற்குக் கையெழுத்து இடவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்.
9 In view of this king Darius signed the writing and the prohibition.
௯அப்படியே ராஜாவாகிய தரியு அந்தக் கட்டளைப் பத்திரத்தில் கையெழுத்து போட்டான்.
10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went up unto his house, where he had open windows in his upper chamber in the direction of Jerusalem; and three times every day he kneeled upon his knees, and prayed, and offered thanks before his God, as he had been doing before that time.
௧0தானியேலோவென்றால், அந்தப் பத்திரத்தில் கையெழுத்து போடப்பட்டதென்று அறிந்திருந்தாலும், தன் வீட்டிற்குள்ளேபோய், தன் மேலறையிலே எருசலேமிற்கு நேராக ஜன்னல்கள் திறந்திருக்க, அங்கே தான் முன்பு செய்துவந்தபடியே, தினம் மூன்று வேளையும் தன் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக முழங்காற்படியிட்டு ஜெபம்செய்து, ஸ்தோத்திரம் செலுத்தினான்.
11 Then came in these men tumultuously, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
௧௧அப்பொழுது அந்த மனிதர்கள் ஒன்றுகூடி, தானியேல் தன் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக ஜெபித்து விண்ணப்பம் செய்கிறதைக் கண்டார்கள்.
12 Then came they near, and spoke before the king concerning the king's prohibition, Hast thou not signed a prohibition, that every man that will pray [for aught] of any God or man, within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is certainly so, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot he repealed.
௧௨பின்பு அவர்கள் ராஜாவிற்கு முன்பாக வந்து, ராஜாவின் உத்திரவைக்குறித்து: எந்த மனிதனாகிலும் முப்பது நாட்கள்வரையில் ராஜாவாகிய உம்மைத்தவிர எந்த தேவனையோ மனிதனையோ நோக்கி எந்தவொரு காரியத்தைக்குறித்து விண்ணப்பம்செய்தால், அவன் சிங்கங்களின் குகையிலே போடப்படவேண்டும் என்று நீர் கட்டளைப் பத்திரத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டீர் அல்லவா என்றார்கள். அதற்கு ராஜா: அந்தக் காரியம் மேதியர்களுக்கும் பெர்சியர்களுக்கும் இருக்கிற மாறாத பிரமாணத்தின்படி உறுதியாக்கப்பட்டதே என்றான்.
13 Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, who is of the children of the exiles of Judah, hath paid no regard to thee, O king, nor to the prohibition which thou hast signed; but three times every day he offereth up his prayer.
௧௩அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: சிறைபிடிக்கப்பட்ட யூதேயா தேசத்தின் மக்களில் தானியேல் என்பவன் உம்மையும் நீர் கையெழுத்திட்டுக்கொடுத்த கட்டளையையும் மதிக்காமல், தினம் மூன்று வேளையும் தான்செய்யும் விண்ணப்பத்தைச் செய்கிறான் என்றார்கள்.
14 Then the king, when he heard this matter, felt very much distressed within himself, and on account of Daniel he sought an excuse to deliver him; and till the going down of the sun he strove hard to rescue him.
௧௪ராஜா இந்த வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டபோது, தன்னில் மிகவும் கலக்கமடைந்து, தானியேலைக் காப்பாற்றுவதற்கு அவன்மேல் தன் மனதை வைத்து, அவனைத் தப்புவிப்பதற்காக சூரியன் மறையும்வரை முயற்சிசெய்துகொண்டிருந்தான்.
15 Then came these men tumultuously unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians. That every prohibition and statute which the king hath established is not to be changed.
௧௫அப்பொழுது அந்த மனிதர்கள் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் கூட்டமாக வந்து: ராஜா கட்டளையிட்ட எந்த உத்திரவும் கட்டளையும் மாற்றப்படமுடியாது என்பது மேதியர்களுக்கும் பெர்சியர்களுக்கும் பிரமாணமாயிருக்கிறதென்று அறிவீராக என்றார்கள்.
16 Then gave the king the order, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. The king commenced and said unto Daniel, May thy God whom thou worshippest continually, truly deliver thee.
௧௬அப்பொழுது ராஜா கட்டளையிட, அவர்கள் தானியேலைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவனைச் சிங்கங்களின் குகையிலே போட்டார்கள்; ராஜா தானியேலை நோக்கி: நீ இடைவிடாமல் ஆராதிக்கிற உன் தேவன் உன்னைத் தப்புவிப்பார் என்றான்.
17 And a stone was brought, and placed upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet-ring, and with the signet-ring of his lords, that nothing should be changed in the purpose concerning Daniel.
௧௭ஒரு கல் குகையினுடைய வாசலின்மேல் கொண்டுவந்து வைக்கப்பட்டது; தானியேலைப்பற்றிய தீர்மானம் மாற்றப்படாதபடிக்கு ராஜா தன் மோதிரத்தினாலும் தன் பிரபுக்களின் மோதிரத்தினாலும் அதின்மேல் முத்திரைபோட்டான்.
18 Then went the king to his palace, and passed the night fasting: and no food was brought before him; and his sleep fled from him.
௧௮பின்பு ராஜா தன் அரண்மனைக்குப் போய், இரவுமுழுவதும் சாப்பிடாமலும், இசைக்கருவி முதலானவைகளைத் தனக்கு முன்பாக வரவிடாமலும் இருந்தான்; அவனுக்கு தூக்கமும் வராமற்போனது.
19 Then arose the king by the morning-dawn, as soon as it was light, and went in great haste unto the den of lions.
௧௯காலையில் சூரியன் உதிக்கும்போது ராஜா எழுந்திருந்து, சிங்கங்களின் குகைக்கு வேகமாகப் போனான்.
20 And when he came near to the den, he cried with a mournful voice unto Daniel: the king commenced and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, hath thy God, whom thou worshippest continually, been able to deliver thee from the lions!
௨0ராஜா குகையின் அருகில் வந்தபோது, துயரசத்தமாகத் தானியேலைக் கூப்பிட்டு: தானியேலே, ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய தாசனே, நீ இடைவிடாமல் ஆராதிக்கிற உன் தேவன் உன்னைச் சிங்கங்களுக்குத் தப்புவிக்க வல்லவராயிருந்தாரா என்று தானியேலைக் கேட்டான்.
21 Then spoke Daniel with the king, O king, live for ever.
௨௧அப்பொழுது தானியேல்: ராஜாவே நீர் என்றும் வாழ்க.
22 My God sent his angel, and locked up the mouths of the lions, and they have not hurt me; forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, had I done nothing injurious.
௨௨சிங்கங்கள் என்னைச் சேதப்படுத்தாதபடிக்குத் தேவன் தம்முடைய தூதனை அனுப்பி, அவைகளின் வாயைக் கட்டிப்போட்டார்; அதேனென்றால் அவருக்கு முன்பாக நான் குற்றமற்றவனாகக் காணப்பட்டேன்; ராஜாவாகிய உமக்கு முன்பாகவும் நான் அநீதி செய்ததில்லை என்றான்.
23 Then was the king exceedingly glad within himself, and concerning Daniel he ordered to bring him up out of the den. So was Daniel brought up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he had trusted in his God.
௨௩அப்பொழுது ராஜா தன்னில் மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, தானியேலைக் குகையிலிருந்து தூக்கிவிடச் சொன்னான்; அப்படியே தானியேல் குகையிலிருந்து தூக்கிவிடப்பட்டான்; அவன் தன் தேவனை நம்பியிருந்ததினால், அவனுக்கு ஒரு சேதமும் ஏற்படவில்லை.
24 And the king gave the order, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel treacherously, and they cast into the den of lions them, their children, and their wives; and they had not yet touched the bottom of the den when the lions had the mastery over them, and ground up all their bones.
௨௪தானியேலின்மேல் குற்றம்சுமத்தின மனிதர்களையோவென்றால், ராஜா கொண்டுவரச்சொன்னான்; அவர்களையும் அவர்களுடைய மகன்களையும் அவர்கள் மனைவிகளையும் சிங்கங்களின் குகையிலே போட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் குகையின் அடியிலே சேருவதற்குமுன்பே சிங்கங்கள் அவர்கள்மேல் பாய்ந்து, அவர்களுடைய எலும்புகளையெல்லாம் நொறுக்கிப்போட்டது.
25 Then wrote king Darius unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell on all the earth, May your welfare increase.
௨௫பின்பு ராஜாவாகிய தரியு தேசமெங்கும் குடியிருக்கிற எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் தேசத்தார்களுக்கும் பல மொழி பேசுபவர்களுக்கும் எழுதினது என்னவென்றால்: உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் பெருகுவதாக.
26 From me is it decreed, That in all the dominion of my kingdom men shall tremble and have fear before the God of Daniel; for he is the living God, and endureth for ever, and it is his kingdom which will not be destroyed, and his dominion will be unto the end [of things].
௨௬என் ராஜ்ஜியத்தின் ஆளுகைக்குள் எங்குமுள்ளவர்கள் யாவரும் தானியேலின் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக நடுங்கிப் பயப்படவேண்டுமென்று என்னாலே தீர்மானம்செய்யப்படுகிறது; அவர் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன், அவர் என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறவர்; அவருடைய ராஜ்ஜியம் அழியாதது; அவருடைய கர்த்தத்துவம் முடிவுவரைக்கும் நிற்கும்.
27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he displayeth sings and wonders in heaven and on earth, he who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
௨௭தானியேலைச் சிங்கங்களின் கைக்குத் தப்புவித்த அவரே தப்புவிக்கிறவரும் இரட்சிக்கிறவரும், வானத்திலும் பூமியிலும் அடையாளங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும் செய்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார் என்று எழுதினான்.
28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
௨௮தரியுவின் ஆட்சிக்காலத்திலும், பெர்சியனாகிய கோரேசுடைய ஆட்சிக்காலத்திலும் தானியேலின் காரியம் ஜெயமாக இருந்தது.
