Daniel 3
1 King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, the height of which was sixty cubits, and the breadth of which was six cubits: he set it up in the valley of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
௧ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அறுபதுமுழ உயரமும், ஆறுமுழ அகலமுமான ஒருபொற்சிலையை உண்டாக்கி, பாபிலோன் மாகாணத்திலிருக்கிற தூரா என்னும் சமபூமியிலே நிறுத்தினான்.
2 And king Nebuchadnezzar sent to assemble [his] lieutenants, the superintendents, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, those learned in the law, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which king Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
௨பின்பு ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் தேசாதிபதிகளையும், அதிகாரிகளையும், தலைவர்களையும், நியாயாதிபதிகளையும், பொக்கிஷக்காரர்களையும், நீதிசாஸ்திரிகளையும், விசாரிப்புக்காரர்களையும், நாடுகளிலுள்ள அதிகாரிகள் யாவரையும் நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் ராஜா நிறுத்தின சிலையின் பிரதிஷ்டைக்கு வந்து சேரும்படி அழைப்பிதழ் அனுப்பினான்.
3 Thereupon were assembled the lieutenants, the superintendents, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, those learned in the law, and all the rulers of the provinces unto the dedication of the image that king Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood opposite to the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
௩அப்பொழுது தேசாதிபதிகளும், அதிகாரிகளும், தலைவர்களும், நியாயாதிபதிகளும், பொக்கிஷக்காரர்களும், நீதிபதிகளும், நாடுகளிலுள்ள அதிகாரிகள் யாவரும், ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் நிறுத்தின சிலையின் பிரதிஷ்டைக்கு வந்து சேர்ந்து, நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் நிறுத்தின சிலைக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள்.
4 Then a herald called out with a loud voice, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
௪அறிவிப்பாளன் உரத்த சத்தமாக: சகல மக்களே, தேசத்தார்களே, பல மொழி பேசுகிறவர்களே, உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்படுகிறது என்னவென்றால்:
5 That at the time when ye do hear the sound of the cornet, flute, guitar, harp, psaltery, bagpipe, and all kinds of music, ye shall fall down and bow yourselves to the golden image which king Nebuchadnezzar hath set up:
௫எக்காளம், நாதசுரம், கின்னரம், வீணை, சுரமண்டலம், தம்புரு முதலான கீதவாத்தியங்களின் சத்தத்தை நீங்கள் கேட்கும்போது, நீங்கள் கீழேவிழுந்து, ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் நிறுத்தின பொற்சிலையைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும்.
6 And whoso doth not fall down and bow himself shall in the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
௬எவனாகிலும் கீழேவிழுந்து, அதைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளாவிட்டால், அவன் அந்நேரமே எரிகிற நெருப்புச்சூளையின் நடுவிலே போடப்படுவான் என்றான்.
7 Therefore at the same time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, guitar, harp, psaltery, and all kinds of music, all the people, the nations, and the languages fell down bowing themselves to the golden image which king Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
௭ஆதலால் சகல மக்களும், எக்காளம், நாதசுரம், கின்னரம், வீணை, சுரமண்டலம் முதலான இசைக்கருவிகளின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டவுடனே, சகல மக்களும் தேசத்தார்களும் பல மொழி பேசுகிறவர்களும் கீழேவிழுந்து, ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் நிறுத்தின பொற்சிலையைப் பணிந்துகொண்டார்கள்.
8 Therefore at the same time certain Chaldean men came near, and accused the Jews treacherously.
௮அந்நேரத்தில் கல்தேயரில் சிலர் ராஜசமுகத்தில் வந்து, யூதர்மேல் குற்றம்சுமத்தி,
9 They commenced and said to king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.
௯ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரை நோக்கி: ராஜாவே, நீர் என்றும் வாழ்க.
10 Thou, O king, hadst made a decree, that every man that should hear the sound of the cornet, flute, guitar, harp, psaltery, and bagpipe, and all kinds of music, should fall down and bow himself to the golden image;
௧0எக்காளம், நாதசுரம், கின்னரம், வீணை, சுரமண்டலம், தம்புரு முதலான இசைக்கருவிகளின் சத்தத்தையும் கேட்கிற எந்த மனிதனும் கீழேவிழுந்து, பொற்சிலையைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டுமென்றும்,
11 And that whoso should not fall down and bow himself should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
௧௧எவனாகிலும் கீழேவிழுந்து பணிந்துகொள்ளாவிட்டால், அவன் எரிகிற நெருப்புச்சூளையின் நடுவிலே போடப்படவேண்டுமென்றும், ராஜாவாகிய நீர் கட்டளையிட்டீரே.
12 There are certain Jewish men whom thou hast appointed over the public service of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego: these men, O king, have not paid any regard to thee; thy god they do not worship, and to the golden image which thou hast set up they do not bow themselves.
௧௨பாபிலோன் மாகாணத்தின் காரியங்களை விசாரிக்கும்படி நீர் ஏற்படுத்தின சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்னும் யூதரான மனிதர்கள் இருக்கிறார்களே; அவர்கள் ராஜாவாகிய உம்மை மதிக்கவில்லை; அவர்கள் உம்முடைய தெய்வங்களுக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யாமலும், நீர் நிறுத்தின பொற்சிலையைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளாமலும் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்றார்கள்.
13 Then ordered Nebuchadnezzar in rage and fury to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego. Then were these men brought before the king.
௧௩அப்பொழுது நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் கடுங்கோபங்கொண்டு சாத்ராக்கையும், மேஷாக்கையும், ஆபேத்நேகோவையும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவரும்படி கட்டளையிட்டான்; அவர்கள் அந்த மனிதர்களை ராஜாவின் சமுகத்தில் கொண்டுவந்து விட்டபோது,
14 Nebuchadnezzar commenced and said unto them, Is it out of disrespect, O Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego? My god ye do not worship, and to the golden image which I have set up ye do not bow yourselves?
௧௪நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அவர்களை நோக்கி: சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களே, நீங்கள் என் தெய்வங்களுக்கு ஆராதனைசெய்யாமலும் நான் நிறுத்தின பொற்சிலையைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளாமலும் இருந்தது உண்மைதானா?
15 Now then if ye be ready at the time when ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, guitar, psaltery, and bagpipe, and all kinds of music, to fall down and bow yourselves to the image which I have made, [well]; but if ye bow yourselves not, ye shall be cast in the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace: and who is the God that can deliver you out of my hand?
௧௫இப்போதும் எக்காளம், நாதசுரம், கின்னரம், வீணை, சுரமண்டலம், தம்புரு முதலான இசைக்கருவிகளின் சத்தத்தையும் நீங்கள் கேட்கும்போது, கீழேவிழுந்து, நான் உண்டாக்கிய சிலையைப் பணிந்துகொள்ள ஆயத்தமாயிருந்தால் நல்லது; பணிந்துகொள்ளாமலிருந்தால், அந்நேரமே எரிகிற நெருப்புச்சூளையின் நடுவிலே போடப்படுவீர்கள்; உங்களை என் கைக்குத் தப்புவிக்கப்போகிற தேவன் யார் என்றான்.
16 Then answered Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego, and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer thee a word in this matter.
௧௬சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்கள் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரே, இந்தக் காரியத்தைக் குறித்து உமக்கு பதில்சொல்ல எங்களுக்கு அவசியமில்லை.
17 Behold, there is our God whom we worship, he is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace: and out of thy hand, O king, will he deliver us.
௧௭நாங்கள் ஆராதிக்கிற எங்கள் தேவன் எங்களைத் தப்புவிக்க வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்; அவர் எரிகிற நெருப்புச்சூளைக்கும், ராஜாவாகிய உம்முடைய கைக்கும் நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவிப்பார்.
18 But if not, then be it known unto thee, O king, that thy god will we not worship, and to the golden image which; thou hast set up will we not bow ourselves.
௧௮விடுவிக்காமற்போனாலும், நாங்கள் உம்முடைய தெய்வங்களுக்கு ஆராதனை செய்வதுமில்லை, நீர் நிறுத்தின பொற்சிலையைப் பணிந்துகொள்வதுமில்லை என்பது ராஜாவாகிய உமக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்கக்கடவது என்றார்கள்.
19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar filled with fury, and the form of his countenance was changed because of Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego; [and] he commenced and ordered that they should heat the furnace thoroughly seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
௧௯அப்பொழுது நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருக்கு மிகவும் கோபம்கொண்டு: சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக அவனுடைய முகம் வேறுபட்டது; சூளையைச் சாதாரணமாகச் சூடாக்குவதைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஏழுமடங்கு அதிகமாகச் சூடாக்கும்படி கட்டளைகொடுத்து,
20 And he ordered the mightiest men in strength that were in his army, to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego, [and] to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
௨0சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களை எரிகிற நெருப்புச்சூளையிலே போடுவதற்கு அவர்களைக் கட்டும்படி, தன் இராணுவத்தில் பலசாலிகளாகிய மனிதர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டான்.
21 Then were these men bound in their mantles, their under-garments, and their turbans, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
௨௧அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தங்கள் சால்வைகளோடும், கால்சட்டைகளோடும், தலைப்பாகைகளோடும் மற்ற உடைகளோடும் கட்டப்பட்டு, எரிகிற நெருப்புச்சூளையின் நடுவிலே போடப்பட்டார்கள்.
22 Now, because the king's command was so urgent, and the furnace exceedingly heated, the flame of the fire slew those men that carried up Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego.
௨௨ராஜாவின் கட்டளை கடுமையாக இருந்ததாலும், சூளை மிகவும் சூடாக்கப்பட்டிருந்ததாலும், நெருப்பு ஜூவாலையானது சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களைத் தூக்கிக்கொண்டுபோன மனிதர்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்டது.
23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
௨௩சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்னும் அந்த மூன்று மனிதர்களும் கட்டப்பட்டவர்களாக எரிகிற நெருப்புச்சூளையின் நடுவிலே விழுந்தார்கள்.
24 Then was king Nebuchadnezzar astonished, and he rose up in haste, [and] commenced, and said unto his counsellors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, Certainly, O king.
௨௪அப்பொழுது ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் பிரமித்து, உடனடியாக எழுந்திருந்து, தன் மந்திரிமார்களை நோக்கி: மூன்று மனிதர்களை அல்லவோ கட்டுண்டவர்களாக நெருப்பிலே போட்டோம் என்றான்; அவர்கள் ராஜாவிற்கு மறுமொழியாக: ஆம், ராஜாவே என்றார்கள்.
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and there is no injury on them; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.
௨௫அதற்கு அவன்: இதோ, நான்குபேர் விடுதலையாக அக்கினியின் நடுவிலே உலாவுகிறதைக் காண்கிறேன். அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு சேதமுமில்லை; நான்காம் நபரின் சாயல் தேவபுத்திரனுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது என்றான்.
26 Then came Nebuchadnezzar near to the door of the burning fiery furnace, commenced, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, step forth, and come hither. Then stepped Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego forth out of the midst of the fire.
௨௬அப்பொழுது நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் எரிகிற நெருப்புச்சூளையின் வாசலருகில் வந்து, உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய தாசராகிய சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களே, நீங்கள் வெளியே வாருங்கள் என்றான்; அப்பொழுது சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்கள் அக்கினியின் நடுவிலிருந்து வெளியே வந்தார்கள்.
27 And the lieutenants, superintendents, and governors, and the king's counsellors, being assembled together, saw these men, over whose bodies the fire had had no power, and the hair of whose head was not singed, whose mantles were not changed, and on whom there was not come the smell of fire.
௨௭தேசாதிபதிகளும், அதிகாரிகளும், தலைவர்களும், ராஜாவின் மந்திரிகளும் கூடிவந்து, அந்த மனிதர்களுடைய உடல்கள் நெருப்பினால் பாதிக்கப்படாமலும், அவர்களுடைய தலைமுடி கருகாமலும், அவர்களுடைய சால்வைகள் சேதப்படாமலும், நெருப்பின் வாசனை அவர்களிடத்தில் வீசாமலும் இருந்ததைக் கண்டார்கள்.
28 Then commenced Nebuchadnezzar, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that had trusted in him, and had transgressed the king's word, and yielded up their bodies, that they might not worship no bow themselves to any god, except their own God.
௨௮அப்பொழுது நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் வசனித்து: சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களுடைய தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்; அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய தேவனைத்தவிர வேறொரு தேவனையும் சேவித்துப் பணியாமல், அவரையே நம்பி, ராஜாவின் கட்டளையைத் தள்ளி, தங்கள் உடல்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததினால், அவர் தமது தூதனை அனுப்பி, தம்முடைய தாசரை விடுவித்தார்.
29 Therefore do I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, that may speak any thing disrespectful against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be changed into a dunghill; because there is no other God that can deliver like this one.
௨௯ஆதலால் சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களுடைய தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தூஷணவார்த்தையைச் சொல்லுகிற எந்த மக்களும், எந்த தேசத்தானும், எந்த மொழி பேசுகிறவனும் துண்டித்துப்போடப்படுவான்; அவன் வீடு எருக்களமாக்கப்படும் என்று என்னாலே தீர்மானிக்கப்படுகிறது; இவ்விதமாக காப்பாற்றக்கூடிய தேவன் வேறொருவரும் இல்லையென்றான்.
30 Then did the king promote Shadrach, Meshach, and 'Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.
௩0பின்பு ராஜா சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களைப் பாபிலோன் தேசத்திலே உயர்த்தினான்.
