Daniel 10
1 In the third year of Cyrus the king of Persia a word was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the word is the truth, but the time appointed is long off: and he noted the word, and took notice of it in the appearance.
| در سال سوم سلطنت کوروش، پادشاه پارس، دانیال که به او بلطشصر هم می‌گفتند، رؤیایی دیگر دید و تعبیر آن به او آشکار شد. این رؤیا دربارهٔ یک جنگ بزرگ بود که در آینده به وقوع می‌پیوست. |
2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
| در آن روزها من، دانیال، سه هفتهٔ تمام در ماتم بودم. |
3 Costly food did I not eat, and flesh and wine came not in my mouth, nor did I at all anoint myself, till three whole weeks were elapsed.
| در این مدت نه خوراک کافی خوردم، نه لب به گوشت و شراب زدم و نه ظاهرم را آراستم. |
4 And on the four and twentieth day of the first month, while I was by the side of the great river, which is Chiddekel,
| روز بیست و چهارم اولین ماه سال در کنار رود بزرگ دجله ایستاده بودم. |
5 I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold there was a certain man clothed in linen, and his loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz;
| وقتی به بالا نگاه کردم ناگهان مردی را دیدم که لباس کتان پوشیده و کمربندی از طلای خالص به کمر بسته بود. بدن او مانند گوهر می‌درخشید، صورتش برق می‌زد و چشمانش مثل شعله‌های آتش بود. بازوها و پاهایش مانند مفرغ صیقلی شده و صدایش شبیه غوغای گروه‌های بی‌شمار مردم بود. |
6 And his body was also like the chrysolite, and his face, like the appearance of lightning, and his eyes were like torches of fire, and his arms and his feet, like the color of polished copper, and the sound of his words was like the noise of a multitude.
7 And I Daniel saw alone this appearance; but the men that were with me did not see the appearance: nevertheless a great terror fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
| از آن عده‌ای که در آنجا ایستاده بودیم، تنها من، دانیال، آن رؤیا را دیدم. آنچنان ترسی همراهان مرا فرا گرفت که گریختند و خود را پنهان کردند. |
8 And I was left by myself alone, and I saw this great appearance, and there remained no strength in me; and my healthy color was changed on me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
| من تنها ماندم و به آن رؤیای حیرت‌انگیز چشم دوختم. رنگم پریده بود و رمق و توانی در من نمانده بود. |
9 Then heard I the sound of his words; and as I heard the sound of his words, I sank in amazement on my face, with my face toward the ground.
| وقتی آن مرد با من سخن گفت من روی خاک افتادم و از حال رفتم. |
10 And, behold, a hand touched me, and it moved me upon my knees and the palms of my hands.
| اما دستی مرا لمس نمود و مرا بر دستها و زانوهای لرزانم بلند کرد. |
11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, the man greatly beloved, mark well the words that I speak unto thee, and stand on thy standing-place; for now have I been sent unto thee. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood up trembling.
| او به من گفت: «ای دانیال، ای مرد محبوب خدا، برخیز و به آنچه می‌خواهم به تو بگویم با دقت گوش بده! زیرا برای همین نزد تو فرستاده شده‌ام.» پس در حالی که هنوز می‌لرزیدم سر پا ایستادم. |
12 And he said unto me, Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to obtain understanding, and to fast before thy God, were thy words heard: and I am come in consequence of thy words.
| سپس او گفت: «ای دانیال، نترس! چون از همان روز اول که در حضور خدای خود روزه گرفتی و از او خواستی تا به تو فهم بدهد، درخواست تو شنیده شد و خدا همان روز مرا نزد تو فرستاد. |
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia stood up against me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I obtained the victory there with the kings of Persia.
| اما فرشته‌ای که بر مملکت پارس حکمرانی می‌کند بیست و یک روز با من مقاومت کرد و مانع آمدن من شد. سرانجام میکائیل که یکی از فرشتگان اعظم است، به یاری من آمد |
14 Now am I come to make thee understand what is to befall thy people, in the latter days; for the vision is yet for the [coming] days.
| و من توانستم به اینجا بیایم تا به تو بگویم که در آینده برای قومت چه روی خواهد داد؛ زیرا این رؤیا مربوط به آینده است.» |
15 And when he spoke unto me such words, I directed my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.
| تمام این مدت سرم را به زیر انداخته بودم و نمی‌توانستم کلمه‌ای حرف بزنم. |
16 And, behold, something like the form of the sons of men touched my lips; and I opened my mouth, and I spoke, and said unto him that stood opposite to me, O my lord, because of the appearance my pains suddenly overcame me, and I have retained no strength.
| آنگاه آن فرستاده که شبیه انسان بود لبهایم را لمس کرد تا توانستم باز سخن بگویم. من به او گفتم: «ای سرورم، این رؤیا به قدری مرا به وحشت انداخته که دیگر قوتی در من نمانده است؛ |
17 And how shall the servant of this my lord be able to speak with this my lord? And as for me, from that moment there remained no strength in me, and no breath was left in me.
| پس چگونه می‌توانم با شما حرف بزنم؟ دیگر توان ندارم و به سختی نفس می‌کشم.» |
18 Then there touched me again something like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me;
| او باز مرا لمس کرد و من قوت گرفتم. |
19 And he said, Fear not, O man greatly beloved: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he spoke with me, I felt myself strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
| او گفت: «ای مرد محبوب خدا، نترس! سلامتی بر تو باد! دلیر و قوی باش!» وقتی این را گفت قوت گرفتم. سپس گفتم: «ای سرورم، حال، سخن بگویید، زیرا به من قوت دادید.» |
20 Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I am come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia; and as I am going forth, lo, the prince of Javan is coming.
| او گفت: «می‌دانی چرا نزد تو آمده‌ام؟ آمده‌ام تا بگویم در”کتاب حق“چه نوشته شده است. وقتی از نزد تو بازگردم، به جنگ فرشته‌ای که بر پارس حکمرانی می‌کند خواهم رفت و پس از او با فرشته‌ای که بر یونان حکمرانی می‌کند خواهم جنگید. در این جنگها فقط میکائیل، نگهبان قوم اسرائیل، مرا یاری خواهد کرد.» |
21 Nevertheless will I tell thee what is noted down in the writing of truth: —and there is none that holdeth with me [to assist me] against those, except Michael your prince.
