Amos 1
1 The words of 'Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he foresaw concerning Israel in the days of 'Uzziyah the king of Judah, and in the days of Jerobo'am the son of Joash the king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

2 And he said, The Lord will cry aloud out of Zion, and from Jerusalem will he send forth his voice; and then shall mourn the pastures of the shepherds, and then shall dry up the top of Carmel.
BAWIPA ni Zion mon dawk hoi a hram teh, Jerusalem kho hoi lawk a pathang dawkvah, tukhoumnae hmuennaw teh, a kamyai vaiteh, Karmel monsom teh a kamyai han.
3 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because they have threshed [the inhabitants of] Gil'ad with threshing instruments of iron;
Miphunnaw lathueng lawkcengnae ni kâ a poe e teh, Damaskas kho teh, Gilead ram hah cangkatinnae sum e sehnaw hoi katin e yon phun kathum touh dueng hoeh niteh, yon pali touh dawkvah reknae na khang laipalah kaawm mahoeh.
4 And I will send a fire into the house of Chazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
Hazael im dawk hmai ka tha vaiteh, Benhadad e imnaw hah ka kak sak han.
5 And I will break the bars of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitants from the valley of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of 'Eden: and the people of Syria shall be exiled unto Kir, saith the Lord.
Damaskas kho e longkha a khannae takhoe pouh han. Aven tanghling pueng, Beth-eden kho dawk e bawi katawknaw pueng, ka raphoe han. Sirianaw hah Kir kho lah a man awh han telah BAWIPA ni a dei.
6 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of Gazzah, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because they carried away exiles in full numbers, to deliver them up to Edom;
Hahoi BAWIPA ni a dei e teh, Gaza kho teh, paung e tami abuemlah hah Edom bawi koe poe hanlah, a man e yon kathum touh dueng laipalah, yon pali touh dawkvah, reknae na khang laipalah na awm mahoeh.
7 And I will send a fire against the wall of Gazzah, which shall devour her palaces;
Gaza kho rapan lathueng vah hmai ka tha vaiteh siangpahrang imnaw pueng hah ka kak sak han.
8 And I will cut off the inhabitants from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn my hand against 'Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord Eternal.
Ashdod kho e tami pueng, Ashkelon kho dawk bawi katawknaw pueng, ka raphoe han. Ekron kho hai ka tuk vaiteh, kaawm rae Filistin taminaw hai be a ro han telah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei.
9 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of Tyre, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because they delivered up the exiles in full numbers to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant;
Hahoi BAWIPA ni a dei e teh, Taire kho teh hmaunawngha reira lawkkamnae pâkuem hoeh. Paung e tami abuemlah naw hah, Edom bawi koe a poe e yon kathum touh laipalah, yon pali touh dawk reknae na khang laipalah na awm mahoeh.
10 And I will send a fire against the walls of Tyre, which shall devour her palaces.
Taire kho rapan dawkvah hmai ka tha vaiteh, imnaw ka kak sak han.
11 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because he pursued with the sword his brother, and disregarded his mercy, and his anger tore in pieces continually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
Hahoi BAWIPA Cathut ni a dei e teh, Edom ram teh, pahrennae lungthin ka panguep teh hmaunawngha hah tahloi hoi pâlei e yon, lungkhueknae hoi pout laipalah, ao teh, pout laipalah kâtarannae yon kathum touh dueng laipalah yon pali touh dawkvah reknae na khang laipalah na awm mahoeh.
12 And I will send out a fire against Theman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
Teman kho dawk hmai ka tha vaiteh, Bozrah kho e imnaw pueng hah a kak han.
13 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of the children of 'Ammon, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because they have ripped up the pregnant women of Gil'ad, in order to enlarge their own territory;
Hahoi BAWIPA ni a dei e teh, Ammon ram e taminaw ni amamae hmuen hah kaw sak hanelah, camo ka vawn e, Gilead ram e napui camo kanengnaw e vonnaw hah vak a khei awh e yon kathum touh dueng laipalah, yon pali touh dawk kaie reknae na khang laipalah na awm mahoeh.
14 And I will kindle a fire within the walls of Rabbah, which shall devour her palaces, with shouting on the day of battle, with a storm on the day of the tempest;
Rabbah khopui rapan hmaisawi vaiteh, imnaw ka kak sak han. Tarantuk nah hnin vah, hramkinae, kho hoi tûilî a thonae hnin nah palek e lah ao han.
15 And their king shall go into exile, he and his princes together, saith the Lord.
Ahnimae siangpahrang koehoi kamtawng vaiteh, a bawinaw hai man lah ao han telah BAWIPA ni a dei.
