Amos 3
1 Hear this word which the Lord hath spoken concerning you, O children of Israel, concerning the whole family which I have brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളേ, നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചും ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച സൎവ്വവംശത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ!
2 Only you have I loved out of all the families of the earth: therefore will I visit upon you all your iniquities.
ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലവംശങ്ങളിലുംവെച്ചു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ മാത്രം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങളിൽ സന്ദൎശിക്കും.
3 Will two walk together, except they had agreed [to do so]?
രണ്ടുപേർ തമ്മിൽ ഒത്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഒരുമിച്ചു നടക്കുമോ? ഇരയില്ലാതിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ സിംഹം കാട്ടിൽ അലറുമോ?
4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion send forth his voice out of his den, unless he have caught something?
ഒന്നിനെയും പിടിച്ചിട്ടല്ലാതെ ബാലസിംഹം ഗുഹയിൽനിന്നു ഒച്ച പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുമോ?
5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, when there is no gin for him? is ever a snare taken up from the ground, when it hath caught nothing at all?
കുടുക്കില്ലാതിരിക്കെ പക്ഷി നിലത്തെ കണിയിൽ അകപ്പെടുമോ? ഒന്നും പിടിപെടാതെ കണി നിലത്തുനിന്നു പൊങ്ങുമോ?
6 Shall a cornet be blown in a city, and the people not become afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord have not done it?
നഗരത്തിൽ കാഹളം ഊതുമ്പോൾ ജനം പേടിക്കാതിരിക്കുമോ? യഹോവ വരുത്തീട്ടല്ലാതെ നഗരത്തിൽ അനൎത്ഥം ഭവിക്കുമോ?
7 For the Lord Eternal will do nothing, unless he have revealed his secret unto his servants the prophets.
യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാൎക്കു തന്റെ രഹസ്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്താതെ ഒരു കാൎയ്യവും ചെയ്കയില്ല.
8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord Eternal hath spoken, who will not prophesy?
സിംഹം ഗൎജ്ജിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആർ ഭയപ്പെടാതിരിക്കും? യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ആർ പ്രവചിക്കാതിരിക്കും?
9 Publish at the palaces in Ashdod, and at the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great confusions in her midst, and the oppressions [that are] within her.
ശമൎയ്യാപൎവ്വതങ്ങളിൽ വന്നുകൂടി അതിന്റെ നടുവിലുള്ള മഹാകലഹങ്ങളെയും അതിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള പീഡനങ്ങളെയും നോക്കുവിൻ എന്നു അസ്തോദിലെ അരമനകളിന്മേലും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിലെ അരമനകളിന്മേലും ഘോഷിച്ചുപറവിൻ!
10 For they know not how to act rightly, saith the Lord, who treasure up violence and robbery in their palaces.
തങ്ങളുടെ അരമനകളിൽ അന്യായവും സാഹസവും സംഗ്രഹിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവർ ന്യായം പ്രവൎത്തിപ്പാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
11 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, The adversary [is there] and surroundeth the land: and he shall bring down from thee thy strength, and thy palaces shall be plundered.
അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ദേശത്തിന്നു ചുറ്റും ഒരു വൈരി ഉണ്ടാകും; അവൻ നിന്റെ ഉറപ്പു നിങ്കൽനിന്നു താഴ്ത്തിക്കളയും; നിന്റെ അരമനകൾ കൊള്ളയായിതീരും.
12 Thus hath said the Lord, As the shepherd snatcheth out of the mouth of the lion [at most] two leg-bones, or a tip of the ear: so shall be delivered the children of Israel that sit in Samaria on the corner of a bed, and on Damascus couches.
യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഒരു ഇടയൻ രണ്ടു കാലോ ഒരു കാതോ സിംഹത്തിന്റെ വായിൽനിന്നു വലിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ശമൎയ്യയിൽ കിടക്കയുടെ കോണിലും പട്ടുമെത്തമേലും ഇരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടും.
13 Hear ye, and give warning in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord Eternal, the God of hosts.
നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടു യാക്കോബ് ഗൃഹത്തോടു സാക്ഷീകരിപ്പിൻ എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
14 For on the day when I visit the transgressions of Israel upon him, will I also inflict punishment on the altars of Beth-el: and then shall be hewn off the horns of the altar, and they shall fall to the ground.
ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അതിക്രമങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം അവനെ സന്ദൎശിക്കുന്ന നാളിൽ ബലിപീഠത്തിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകൾ മുറിഞ്ഞു നിലത്തു വീഴുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ ബേഥേലിലെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളെയും സന്ദൎശിക്കും.
15 And I will smite the winter-house together with the summer-house: and the houses of ivory shall disappear, and the great houses shall be no more, saith the Lord.
ഞാൻ ഹേമന്തഗൃഹവും ഗ്രീഷ്മഗൃഹവും ഒരുപോലെ തകൎത്തുകളയും; ദന്തഭവനങ്ങൾ നശിച്ചുപോകും; പലവീടുകളും മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
