Amos 1
1 The words of 'Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he foresaw concerning Israel in the days of 'Uzziyah the king of Judah, and in the days of Jerobo'am the son of Joash the king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
テコアの牧者の中なるアモスの言 是はユダの王ウジヤの世 イスラエルの王ヨアシの子ヤラベアムの世 地震の二年前に彼が見されたる者にてイスラエルの事を論るなり 其言に云く
2 And he said, The Lord will cry aloud out of Zion, and from Jerusalem will he send forth his voice; and then shall mourn the pastures of the shepherds, and then shall dry up the top of Carmel.
ヱホバ、シオンより呼號りエルサレムより聲を出したまふ 牧者の牧塲は哀きカルメルの巓は枯る
3 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because they have threshed [the inhabitants of] Gil'ad with threshing instruments of iron;
ヱホバかく言たまふ ダマスコは三の罪あり 四の罪あれば我かならず之を罰して赦さじ 即ち彼らは鐵の打禾車をもてギレアデを打り
4 And I will send a fire into the house of Chazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
我ハザエルの家に火を遣りベネハダデの宮殿を焚ん
5 And I will break the bars of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitants from the valley of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of 'Eden: and the people of Syria shall be exiled unto Kir, saith the Lord.
我ダマスコの關を碎きアベンの谷の中よりその居民を絶のぞきベテエデンの中より王の杖を執る者を絶のぞかん スリアの民は擄へられてキルにゆかん ヱホバこれを言ふ
6 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of Gazzah, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because they carried away exiles in full numbers, to deliver them up to Edom;
ヱホバかく言たまふ ガザは三の罪あり 四の罪あれば我かならず之を罰して赦さじ 即ち彼らは俘囚をことごとく曳ゆきてこれをエドムに付せり
7 And I will send a fire against the wall of Gazzah, which shall devour her palaces;
我ガザの石垣の内に火を遣り一切の殿を焚ん
8 And I will cut off the inhabitants from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn my hand against 'Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord Eternal.
我アシドドの中よりその居民を絶のぞきアシケロンの中より王の杖を執る者を絶除かん 我また手を反してエクロンを撃ん ペリシテ人の遺れる者亡ぶべし 主ヱホバこれを言ふ
9 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of Tyre, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because they delivered up the exiles in full numbers to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant;
ヱホバかく言たまふ ツロは三の罪あり 四の罪あれば我かならず之を罰して赦さじ 即ち彼らは俘囚をことごとくエドムに付しまた兄弟の契約を忘れたり
10 And I will send a fire against the walls of Tyre, which shall devour her palaces.
我ツロの石垣の内に火を遣り一切の殿を焚ん
11 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because he pursued with the sword his brother, and disregarded his mercy, and his anger tore in pieces continually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
ヱホバかく言たまふ エドムは三の罪あり 四の罪あれば我かならず之を罰して赦さじ 即ち彼は劍をもてその兄弟を追ひ全く憐憫の情を斷ち恒に怒りて人を害し永くその憤恨をたくはへたり
12 And I will send out a fire against Theman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
我テマンに火を遣りポヅラの一切の殿を焚ん
13 Thus hath said the Lord, For three transgressions of the children of 'Ammon, and for four, will I not turn away their punishment; because they have ripped up the pregnant women of Gil'ad, in order to enlarge their own territory;
ヱホバかく言たまふ アンモンの人々は三の罪あり 四の罪あれば我かならず之を罰して赦さじ 即ち彼らはその國境を廣めんとてギレアデの孕める婦を剖たり
14 And I will kindle a fire within the walls of Rabbah, which shall devour her palaces, with shouting on the day of battle, with a storm on the day of the tempest;
我ラバの石垣の内に火を放ちその一切の殿を焚ん 是は戰鬪の日に吶喊の聲をもて爲され暴風の日に旋風をもて爲されん
15 And their king shall go into exile, he and his princes together, saith the Lord.
彼らの王はその牧伯等と諸共に擄へられて往ん ヱホバこれを言ふ
