2 Samuel 9
1 And David said, Is there yet any one that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for the sake of Jonathan?
| روزی داوود به این فکر افتاد که ببیند آیا کسی از خانوادهٔ شائول باقی مانده است؟ چون او می‌خواست به خاطر یوناتان به او خوبی کند. |
2 And the house of Saul had a servant whose name was Ziba; and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And be said, Thy servant [is it].
| به او خبر دادند که یکی از نوکران شائول به نام صیبا هنوز زنده است. پس او را احضار کرده، از وی پرسید: «آیا تو صیبا هستی؟» او گفت: «بله قربان، من صیبا هستم.» |
3 And the king said, Is there no one left any more of the house of Saul, that I may show him the kindness of God! And Ziba said unto the king, There is yet a son of Jonathan, lame on both feet.
| آنگاه پادشاه پرسید: «آیا کسی از خانوادهٔ شائول باقی مانده است؟ چون می‌خواهم طبق قولی که به خدا داده‌ام به او خوبی کنم.» صیبا جواب داد: «پسر لنگ یوناتان هنوز زنده است.» |
4 And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of 'Ammiel, in Lo-debar.
| پادشاه پرسید: «او کجاست؟» صیبا به او گفت: «در لودبار در خانهٔ ماخیر (پسر عَمیئیل) است.» |
5 And king David sent, and had him taken out of the house of Machir, the son of 'Ammiel, from Lo-debar.
| پس داوود پادشاه فرستاد تا مفیبوشت را که پسر یوناتان و نوهٔ شائول بود، از خانهٔ ماخیر به نزدش بیاورند. مفیبوشت در برابر پادشاه تعظیم کرده به پایش افتاد. |
6 And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and he fell on his face, and bowed himself. And David said, Mephibosheth; And he answered, Here is thy servant!
7 And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for the sake of Jonathan thy father, and I will restore unto thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
| اما داوود گفت: «نترس! برای این تو را احضار کرده‌ام تا به خاطر پدرت یوناتان به تو خوبی کنم. تمام زمینهای پدر بزرگت شائول را به تو پس می‌دهم و تو بعد از این در قصر من با من سر یک سفره خواهی نشست!» |
8 And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldst turn thy regard unto such a dead dog as I am?
| مفیبوشت در حضور پادشاه به خاک افتاد و گفت: «آیا پادشاه می‌خواهد به سگ مرده‌ای چون من خوبی کند؟» |
9 Then called the king for Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, all that hath pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given unto thy master's son.
| پادشاه، صیبا نوکر شائول را خواست و به او گفت: «هر چه مال ارباب تو شائول و خانوادهٔ او بود، به نوه‌اش پس داده‌ام. |
10 And thou shalt till for him the land, thou, and thy sons, and thy servants, and thou shalt bring in [the product], that thy master's son may have bread which he can eat; but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat continually bread at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
| تو و پسرانت و نوکرانت باید زمین را برای او کشت و زرع کنید و خوراک خانواده‌اش را تأمین نمایید، اما خود مفیبوشت پیش من زندگی خواهد کرد.» صیبا که پانزده پسر و بیست نوکر داشت، جواب داد: «قربان، هر چه امر فرمودید انجام خواهم داد.» از آن پس، مفیبوشت بر سر سفرهٔ داوود پادشاه می‌نشست و مثل یکی از پسرانش با او غذا می‌خورد. |
11 And Ziba said unto the king, In accordance with all that my Lord the king may command his servant, so will thy servant do. And Mephibosheth [said the king] shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
12 And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
| مفیبوشت پسر کوچکی داشت به نام میکا. تمام اعضای خانوادهٔ صیبا خدمتگزاران مفیبوشت شدند. |
13 And Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he ate continually at the king's table; and he was lame on both his feet.
| پس مفیبوشت که از هر دو پا لنگ بود، در اورشلیم در قصر پادشاه زندگی می‌کرد و همیشه با پادشاه بر سر یک سفره می‌نشست. |
