< 2 Kings 24 >
1 In his days came up Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and Jehoyakim became his servant for three years: and then he returned and rebelled against him.

2 And the Lord sent against him predatory bands of the Chaldeans, and predatory bands of the Syrians, and predatory bands of the Moabites, and predatory bands of the children of 'Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by means of his servants the prophets.
Olúwa sì rán àwọn ará Babeli, àwọn ará Aramu, àwọn ará Moabu àti àwọn ọmọ Ammoni. Ó rán wọn láti pa Juda run, ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tí ó ti sọ nípasẹ̀ àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ wòlíì.
3 But only at the order of the Lord came this upon Judah, to remove the same out of his sight, for the sins of Menasseh, in accordance with all that he had done;
Nítòótọ́ eléyìí ṣẹlẹ̀ sí Juda gẹ́gẹ́ bí àṣẹ Olúwa, láti mú wọn kúrò níwájú rẹ̀ nítorí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ Manase àti gbogbo nǹkan tí ó ṣe.
4 And also for the innocent blood that he had shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; wherefore the Lord would not pardon.
Àti pẹ̀lú ẹ̀jẹ̀ aláìṣẹ̀ tí a ta sílẹ̀ nítorí ó ti kún Jerusalẹmu pẹ̀lú ẹ̀jẹ̀ aláìṣẹ̀ tí Olúwa kò sì fẹ́ láti dáríjì.
5 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoyakim, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah.
Ní ti ìyókù iṣẹ́ ìjọba Jehoiakimu, àti gbogbo nǹkan tí ó ṣe, ṣé wọn kò kọ wọ́n sínú ìwé ìtàn ọba Juda?
6 And Jehoyakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoyachin his son became king in his stead.
Jehoiakimu sùn pẹ̀lú baba rẹ̀, Jehoiakini ọmọ rẹ̀ sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
7 And the king of Egypt came no more again out of his land; for the king of Babylon had taken from the brook of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that had pertained to the king of Egypt.
Ọba Ejibiti kò sì tún jáde ní ìlú rẹ̀ mọ́, nítorí ọba Babeli ti gba gbogbo agbègbè rẹ̀ láti odò Ejibiti lọ sí odò Eufurate.
8 Eighteen years old was Jehoyachin when he became king, and three months did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Nechushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
Jehoiakini jẹ́ ẹni ọdún méjìdínlógún nígbà tí ó di ọba, ó sì jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu fún oṣù mẹ́ta. Orúkọ ìyá rẹ̀ a sì máa jẹ́ Nehuṣita ọmọbìnrin Elnatani; ó wá láti Jerusalẹmu.
9 And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, all just as that his father had done.
Ó sì ṣe búburú ní ojú Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí baba rẹ̀ ti ṣe.
10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was put in a state of siege.
Ní àkókò náà àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Nebukadnessari ọba Babeli gbé ogun wá Jerusalẹmu, wọ́n sì gbé dó ti ìlú náà,
11 And Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came against the city, while his servants were besieging it.
Nebukadnessari ọba Babeli fúnra rẹ̀ wá sókè sí ìlú nígbà tí àwọn ìránṣẹ́ fi ogun dó tì í.
12 And Jehoyachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his court-officers: and the king of Babylon took him [captive] in the eighth year of his reign.
Jehoiakini ọba Juda àti ìyá rẹ̀ àti àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀, àti àwọn ìwẹ̀fà àti àwọn ìjòyè gbogbo wọn sì jọ̀wọ́ ara wọn fún un. Ní ọdún kẹjọ ìjọba rẹ̀ ti ọba Babeli ó mú Jehoiakini ẹlẹ́wọ̀n.
13 And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon the king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, as the Lord had spoken.
Gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti sọ Nebukadnessari kó gbogbo ìṣúra láti inú ilé Olúwa àti láti ilé ọba, ó sì mú u lọ gbogbo ohun èlò wúrà ti Solomoni ọba Israẹli ti kọ́ fún Olúwa.
14 And he led away as exiles all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, ten thousand exiles, and all the craftsmen and locksmiths: there was none left, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
Ó kó wọn lọ sí ìgbèkùn gbogbo Jerusalẹmu: gbogbo ìjòyè àti àwọn akọni alágbára ọkùnrin, àti gbogbo oníṣọ̀nà àti ọlọ́nà tí àpapọ̀ rẹ̀ jẹ́ ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́wàá, àwọn tálákà ènìyàn ilẹ̀ náà nìkan ni ó kù.
15 And he led away Jehoyachin as exile to Babylon; and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his court-officers, and the mighty men of the land, he led into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.
Nebukadnessari mú Jehoiakini ní ìgbèkùn lọ sí Babeli. Ó sì tún mú ìyá ọba láti Jerusalẹmu lọ sí Babeli, ìyàwó rẹ̀ àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀ àti àwọn olórí ilé náà.
16 And all the men of might, seven thousand [in number], and the craftsmen and the locksmiths a thousand [in number], all strong men, apt for war; and the king of Babylon brought them into exile to Babylon.

17 And the king of Babylon made Mattanyah his uncle king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
Ọba Babeli sì mú Mattaniah arákùnrin baba Jehoiakini, jẹ ọba ní ìlú rẹ̀ ó sì yí orúkọ rẹ̀ padà sí Sedekiah.
18 Twenty and one years old was Zedekiah when he became king, and eleven years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Chamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
Sedekiah jẹ́ ẹni ọdún mọ́kànlélógún nígbà tí ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ṣe ìjọba, ó sì jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu fún ọdún mọ́kànlá. Orúkọ ìyá rẹ̀ ni Hamutali ọmọbìnrin Jeremiah; ó sì wá láti Libina.
19 And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, all just as Jehoyakim had done.
Ó sì ṣe búburú ní ojú Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Jehoiakimu ti ṣe.
20 For through the anger of the Lord it occurred in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
Nítorí tí ìbínú Olúwa, ni gbogbo èyí ṣe ṣẹ sí Jerusalẹmu, àti Juda, ní òpin ó ta wọ́n nù kúrò níwájú rẹ̀. Nísinsin yìí Sedekiah sì ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí ọba Babeli.
