2 Kings 1
1 Then did Moab rebel against Israel after the death of Achab.
১আহাবৰ মৃত্যুৰ পাছত, মোৱাব দেশে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে বিদ্ৰোহ-আচৰণ কৰিলে।
2 And Achazyah fell down through the lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and became sick; and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, inquire of Ba'al-zebub the god of 'Ekron whether I shall recover from this sickness.
২অহজিয়াই চমৰিয়াত তেওঁৰ ঘৰৰ ওপৰ-কোঁঠালিৰ খিড়িকিয়েদি তললৈ পৰি আঘাত পালে। তেতিয়া তেওঁ কেইজনমান লোকক এইবুলি কৈ পঠাই দিলে যে, “তোমালোকে গৈ ইক্ৰোণৰ দেৱতা বাল-জবুবৰ ওচৰত সোধা, এই আঘাতৰ পৰা মই সুস্থ হ’ম নে নাই।”
3 But an angel of the Lord spoke to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to inquire of Ba'al-zebub the god of 'Ekron?
৩কিন্তু যিহোৱাৰ দূতে তিচবীয়া এলিয়াক ক’লে, “তুমি গৈ চমৰিয়াৰ ৰজাই পঠোৱা লোকসকলৰ লগত সাক্ষাত কৰি তেওঁলোকক কোৱা, ‘ইস্ৰায়েল দেশত জানো ঈশ্বৰ নাই যে, তোমালোকে ইক্ৰোণৰ বাল-জবুবৰ গুৰিত সুধিবলৈ গৈছা?
4 Now therefore, thus hath said the Lord, From the bed on which thou art gone up shalt thou not come down; for thou shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.
৪সেয়ে যিহোৱাই কৈছে, “তুমি যি শয্যাত পৰি আছা, তাৰ পৰা তুমি পুনৰ নুঠিবা। তোমাৰ অৱেশ্যেই মৃত্যু হ’ব’।” এলিয়াই সেই লোকসকলক লগ ধৰিলে আৰু এই দৰে কৈ গুছি গ’ল।
5 And the messengers returned unto him, and he said unto them, Why is this that ye are already returned?
৫পাছত সেই লোকসকল ৰজাৰ ওচৰলৈ ঘূৰি অহাৰ পাছত তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক সুধিলে, “তোমালোক কিয় উভটি আহিলা?”
6 And they said unto him, There came up a man to meet us, and he said unto us, Go, return unto the king that hath sent you, and speak unto him, Thus hath said the Lord, Is it because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to inquire of Ba'al-zebub the god of 'Ekron? therefore from the bed on which thou art gone up shalt thou not come down; for thou shalt surely die.
৬উত্তৰত তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “এজন মানুহে আমাৰ লগত সাক্ষাত কৰি ক’লে, ‘যি জনে আপোনালোকক পঠিয়াইছে, আপোনালোক যেন সেই ৰজাৰ ওচৰলৈ উভটি গৈ তেওঁক জনায়, “যিহোৱাই কৈছে, ‘ইস্ৰায়েল দেশত জানো ঈশ্বৰ নাই, আপুনি যে ইক্ৰোণৰ দেৱতা বাল-জবুবৰ গুৰিত সুধিবৰ কাৰণে মানুহ পঠিয়াইছে? সেয়ে আপুনি যি শয্যাত পৰি আছে, তাৰ পৰা পুনৰ নুঠিব, কিন্তু অৱশ্যেই মৃত্যু হ’ব।’”
7 And he spoke unto them, What is the manner of the man who came up to meet you, and spoke unto you these words?
৭ৰজাই তেওঁলোকক সুধিলে, “যি মানুহজনে তোমালোকৰ লগত সাক্ষাত কৰি এই কথা ক’লে, তেওঁ বাৰু দেখাত কেনেকুৱা আছিল?”
8 And they said unto him, He is a hairy man, with a girdle of leather girded about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
৮তেওঁলোকে উত্তৰ দিলে, “তেওঁ জন্তুৰ নোমেৰে তৈয়াৰী পোছাক পিন্ধিছিল আৰু তেওঁৰ কঁকালত আছিল চামৰাৰ কটিবন্ধন।” ৰজাই ক’লে, “তেৱেঁ হৈছে তিচবীয়া এলিয়া।”
9 Then did he send unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty: and he went up to him, and, behold, he was sitting on the top of the mount; and he spoke unto him, O man of God, the king hath commanded, Come down.
৯তাৰ পাছত ৰজাই এজন সেনাপতি আৰু তেওঁৰ পঞ্চাশজন সৈন্যক এলিয়াৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠাই দিলে। এলিয়া সেই সময়ত পাহাৰৰ ওপৰত বহি আছিল। সেনাপতিজন এলিয়াৰ ওচৰলৈ উঠি গৈ ক’লে, “হে ঈশ্বৰৰ লোক, ৰজাই আপোনাক নামি আহিবলৈ কৈছে।”
10 And Elijah answered and spoke to the captain of the fifty, And if I be a man of God, let a fire come down from heaven and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down a fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
১০এলিয়াই সেনাপতিজনক ক’লে, “মই যদি ঈশ্বৰৰ লোক হওঁ, তেন্তে আকাশৰ পৰা জুই নামি আহি যেন আপোনাক আৰু আপোনাৰ পঞ্চাশজন সৈন্যক পুৰি গ্ৰাস কৰে।” তেতিয়া আকাশৰ পৰা জুই নামি আহি সেই সেনাপতি আৰু তেওঁৰ পঞ্চাশজন সৈন্যক গ্ৰাস কৰিলে।
11 And he sent again unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he commenced and spoke unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.
১১ৰজাই আকৌ এজন সেনাপতি আৰু তেওঁৰ পঞ্চাশজন সৈন্যক এলিয়াৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠালে। সেই সেনাপতিয়েও এলিয়াক ক’লে, “হে ঈশ্বৰৰ লোক, ৰজাই আপোনাক এতিয়াই নামি আহিবলৈ কৈছে।”
12 And Elijah answered and spoke unto them, If I be a man of God, let a fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.
১২এলিয়াই উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “মই যদি ঈশ্বৰৰ লোক হওঁ, তেন্তে আকাশৰ পৰা জুই নামি আহি যেন আপোনাক আৰু আপোনাৰ পঞ্চাশজন সৈন্যক পুৰি গ্ৰাস কৰে।” তেতিয়া পুনৰাই আকাশৰ পৰা ঈশ্বৰৰ জুই নামি আহি তেওঁক আৰু তেওঁৰ পঞ্চাশজন সৈন্যক গ্ৰাস কৰিলে।
13 And he sent again a captain of fifty the third time with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and bent down on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and spoke unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life and the life of these fifty thy servants be precious in thy eyes.
১৩তাৰ পাছত পুনৰ ৰজাই তৃতীয়বাৰলৈ এজন সেনাপতি আৰু তেওঁৰ পঞ্চাশজন সৈন্যক পঠালে। এই তৃতীয় সেনাপতিয়ে ওপৰলৈ উঠি গৈ এলিয়াৰ সন্মুখত আঠুকাঢ়ি মিনতি কৰিলে, “হে ঈশ্বৰৰ লোক, আপোনাৰ দৃষ্টিত মোৰ আৰু আপোনাৰ এই পঞ্চাশজন দাসৰ জীৱন যেন বহুমূলীয়াৰূপে গ্রাহ্য হয়।
14 Behold, there came down a fire from heaven, and consumed the two captains of the first fifties with their fifties; and now let my life be precious in thy eyes.
১৪চাওক, আকাশৰ পৰা জুই নামি আগেয়ে অহা দুজন সেনাপতি আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ সকলো সৈন্যকে পুৰি গ্ৰাস কৰিলে; কিন্তু এইবাৰ আপোনাৰ দৃষ্টিত মোৰ প্ৰাণ বহুমূল্য হওক।”
15 And the angel of the Lord spoke unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him, and he arose, and went down with him unto the king.
১৫তেতিয়া যিহোৱাৰ দূতে এলিয়াক ক’লে, “তুমি তেওঁৰ লগত নামি যোৱা, তেওঁক ভয় নকৰিবা।” তাতে এলিয়াই তেওঁৰ লগত নামি আহি ৰজাৰ ওচৰলৈ গ’ল।
16 And he spoke unto him, Thus hath said the Lord, Forasmuch as thou didst send messengers to inquire of Ba'al-zebub the God of 'Ekron, as though there were no God in Israel to inquire of his word: therefore from the bed on which thou art gone up shalt thou not come down; for thou shalt surely die.
১৬তেওঁ ৰজাক ক’লে, “যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, ‘আপুনি ইক্ৰোণৰ দেৱতা বাল-জবুবৰ ওচৰলৈ লোক পঠাইছিল। ইস্ৰায়েল দেশত জানো সুধিবৰ বাবে ঈশ্বৰ নাই? এনে কাম কৰাৰ কাৰণে যি শয্যাত আপুনি পৰি আছে, সেই শয্যাৰ পৰা আৰু উঠিব নোৱাৰিব; কিন্তু অৱশ্যেই মৃত্যু হ’ব’।”
17 And he died, according to the word of the Lord which Elijah had spoken; and Jehoram became king in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah; because he had no son.
১৭যিহোৱাই এলিয়াৰ যোগেদি যিদৰে কৈছিল, সেইদৰে ৰজা অহজিয়াৰ মৃত্যু হ’ল। অহজিয়াৰ কোনো পুত্ৰ সন্তান নথকাৰ বাবে তেওঁৰ ঠাইত যোৰাম ইস্রায়েলৰ ৰজা হ’ল। যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোচাফটৰ পুত্র যিহোৰামৰ ৰাজত্ব কালৰ দ্বিতীয় বছৰত যোৰাম ইস্রায়েলৰ ৰজা হৈছিল।
18 Now the rest of the acts of Achazyahu which he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
১৮অহজিয়াৰ আন আন সকলো কৰ্মৰ বৃত্তান্ত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ “ইতিহাস” পুস্তকখনত জানো লিখা নাই?
