2 Chronicles 8
1 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the house of the Lord, and his own house,
Y aconteció que al cabo de veinte años que Salomón había edificado la Casa del SEÑOR y su casa,
2 That [as regardeth] the cities which Churam had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
reedificó Salomón las ciudades que Hiram le había dado, y estableció en ellas a los hijos de Israel.
3 And Solomon went to Chamath-zobah, and prevailed against it.
Después vino Salomón a Hamat de Soba, y la tomó.
4 And he built Thadmor in the wilderness, and all the treasure-cities, which he built in Chamath.
Y edificó a Tadmor en el desierto, y todas las ciudades de municiones que edificó en el desierto.
5 And he built the upper Beth-choron, and the lower Beth-choron, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
Asimismo reedificó a Bet-horón la de arriba, y a Bet-horón la de abajo, ciudades fortificadas, de muros, puertas, y barras;
6 And Ba'alath, and all the treasure-cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for chariots, and the cities for horsemen, and all the [other] desire of Solomon which he desired to build in Jerusalem, and in the Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
y a Baalat, y a todas las villas de munición que Salomón tenía; también todas las ciudades de los carros y las de la gente de a caballo; y todo lo que Salomón quiso edificar en Jerusalén, y en el Líbano, y en toda la tierra de su señorío.
7 All the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Emorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel,
Y a todo el pueblo que había quedado de los heteos, amorreos, ferezeos, heveos, y jebuseos, que no eran de Israel,
8 Out of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel had not destroyed—these did Solomon levy as tributary [laborers] until this day.
los hijos de los que habían quedado en la tierra después de ellos, a los cuales los hijos de Israel no destruyeron del todo, hizo Salomón tributarios hasta hoy.
9 Yet of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen for his work; but they were men of war, and chiefs of his captains; and officers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
Y de los hijos de Israel no puso Salomón siervos en su obra; porque eran hombres de guerra, y sus príncipes y sus capitanes, y príncipes de sus carros, y su gente de a caballo.
10 And these were the chiefs of the superintendents whom king Solomon had, [even] two hundred and fifty, who ruled over the people.
Y tenía Salomón doscientos cincuenta príncipes de los gobernadores, los cuales presidian en el pueblo.
11 And the daughter of Pharaoh did Solomon bring up out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her; for he said, No wife of mine shall dwell in a house of David the king of Israel, because they are holy, because there came [once] unto them the ark of the Lord.
Y pasó Salomón a la hija de Faraón, de la ciudad de David a la casa que él le había edificado; porque dijo entre si: Mi mujer no morará en la casa de David rey de Israel, porque son lugares sagradas por haber entrado a ellas el arca del SEÑOR.
12 Then did Solomon offer burnt-offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,
Entonces ofreció Salomón holocaustos al SEÑOR sobre el altar del SEÑOR, que había él edificado delante del pórtico,
13 Even according to what was the due of [every] day on its day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new-moons, and on the stated festivals, three times in the year, on the feast of unleavened bread, and on the feast of weeks, and on the feast of tabernacles.
para que ofreciesen cada cosa en su día, conforme al mandamiento de Moisés, en los sábados, las nuevas lunas, y fiestas tres veces en el año, a saber, en la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, en la fiesta de las semanas, y en la fiesta de los tabernáculos.
14 And he stationed, according to the prescription of David his father, the divisions of the priests at their service, and the Levites at their stations, to praise and minister next to the priests, in the requirement of every day on its day, and the gate-keepers in their divisions at every gate; for so was the charge of David the man of God.
Y constituyó los repartimientos de los sacerdotes en sus oficios, conforme a la ordenación de David su padre: los levitas por sus guardas, para que alabasen y ministrasen delante de los sacerdotes, cada cosa en su día; y los porteros por su guarda a cada puerta; porque así lo había mandado David, varón de Dios.
15 And they departed not from the charge of the king concerning the priests and Levites respecting every matter, and respecting the treasuries.
Y no salieron del mandamiento del rey, cuanto a los sacerdotes y levitas, y los tesoros, y todo negocio.
16 And [so] was all the work of Solomon successful from the day of founding the house of the Lord, even until it was finished. [So] was perfected the house of the Lord.
Porque toda la obra de Salomón estaba apercibida desde el día en que la Casa del SEÑOR fue fundada hasta que se acabó, hasta que la Casa del SEÑOR fue acabada del todo.
17 Then went Solomon to 'Ezyon-geber, and to Eloth, at the sea-shore in the land of Edom.
Entonces Salomón fue a Ezión-geber, y a Elot, a la costa del mar en la tierra de Edom.
18 And Churam sent him by means of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and they fetched away thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought the same to king Solomon.
Porque Hiram le había enviado navíos por mano de sus siervos, y marineros diestros en el mar, los cuales habían ido con los siervos de Salomón a Ofir, y habían tomado de allá cuatrocientos cincuenta talentos de oro, y los trajeron al rey Salomón.
