2 Chronicles 8
1 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the house of the Lord, and his own house,
E sucedeu, ao cabo de vinte anos, nos quais Salomão edificou a casa do Senhor, e a sua própria casa,
2 That [as regardeth] the cities which Churam had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
Que Salomão edificou as cidades que Hurão lhe tinha dado; e fez habitar nelas os filhos de Israel.
3 And Solomon went to Chamath-zobah, and prevailed against it.
Depois foi Salomão a Hamath Zoba, e a tomou.
4 And he built Thadmor in the wilderness, and all the treasure-cities, which he built in Chamath.
Também edificou a Tadmor no deserto, e todas as cidades das munições, que edificou em Hamath.
5 And he built the upper Beth-choron, and the lower Beth-choron, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
Edificou também a alta Beth-horon, e a baixa Beth-horon; cidades fortes com muros, portas e ferrolhos;
6 And Ba'alath, and all the treasure-cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for chariots, and the cities for horsemen, and all the [other] desire of Solomon which he desired to build in Jerusalem, and in the Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
Como também a Baalath, e todas as cidades das munições, que Salomão tinha, e todas as cidades dos carros e as cidades dos cavaleiros; e tudo quanto, conforme ao seu desejo, Salomão quis edificar em Jerusalém, e no líbano, e em toda a terra do seu domínio.
7 All the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Emorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel,
Quanto a todo o povo, que tinha ficado dos heteus, e amorreus, e pherezeus, e heveus, e jebuseus, que não eram de Israel,
8 Out of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel had not destroyed—these did Solomon levy as tributary [laborers] until this day.
Dos seus filhos, que ficaram depois deles na terra, os quais os filhos de Israel não destruiram, Salomão os fez tributários, até ao dia de hoje.
9 Yet of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen for his work; but they were men of war, and chiefs of his captains; and officers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
Porém dos filhos de Israel, a quem Salomão não fez servos para sua obra (mas eram homens de guerra, chefes dos seus capitães, e chefes dos seus carros, e dos seus cavaleiros),
10 And these were the chiefs of the superintendents whom king Solomon had, [even] two hundred and fifty, who ruled over the people.
Destes pois eram os chefes dos oficiais que o rei Salomão tinha, duzentos e cincoênta, que presidiam sobre o povo.
11 And the daughter of Pharaoh did Solomon bring up out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her; for he said, No wife of mine shall dwell in a house of David the king of Israel, because they are holy, because there came [once] unto them the ark of the Lord.
E Salomão fez subir a filha de faraó da cidade de David para a casa que lhe tinha edificado; porque disse: Minha mulher não morará na casa de David, rei de Israel, porquanto santos são os lugares nos quais entrou a arca do Senhor.
12 Then did Solomon offer burnt-offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,
Então Salomão ofereceu holocaustos ao Senhor, sobre o altar do Senhor, que tinha edificado diante do pórtico:
13 Even according to what was the due of [every] day on its day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new-moons, and on the stated festivals, three times in the year, on the feast of unleavened bread, and on the feast of weeks, and on the feast of tabernacles.
E isto segundo a ordem de cada dia, oferecendo o mandamento de Moisés, nos sábados e nas luas novas, e nas solenidades, três vezes no ano: na festa dos pães asmos, e na festa das semanas, e na festa das tendas.
14 And he stationed, according to the prescription of David his father, the divisions of the priests at their service, and the Levites at their stations, to praise and minister next to the priests, in the requirement of every day on its day, and the gate-keepers in their divisions at every gate; for so was the charge of David the man of God.
Também, conforme à ordem de David seu pai, ordenou as turmas dos sacerdotes nos seus ministérios, como também as dos levitas acerca de suas guardas, para louvarem a Deus, e ministrarem diante dos sacerdotes, segundo a ordenação de cada dia, e os porteiros pelas suas turmas a cada porta: porque tal era o mandado de David, o homem de Deus.
15 And they departed not from the charge of the king concerning the priests and Levites respecting every matter, and respecting the treasuries.
E não se desviaram do mandado do rei aos sacerdotes e levitas, em negócio nenhum, nem acerca dos tesouros.
16 And [so] was all the work of Solomon successful from the day of founding the house of the Lord, even until it was finished. [So] was perfected the house of the Lord.
Assim se preparou toda a obra de Salomão, desde o dia da fundação da casa do Senhor, até se acabar: e assim se aperfeiçoou a casa do Senhor.
17 Then went Solomon to 'Ezyon-geber, and to Eloth, at the sea-shore in the land of Edom.
Então foi Salomão a Esion-geber, e a Eloth, à praia do mar, na terra de Edom.
18 And Churam sent him by means of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and they fetched away thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought the same to king Solomon.
E enviou-lhe Hurão, por mão de seus servos, navios, e servos práticos do mar, e foram com os servos de Salomão a Ophir, e tomaram de lá quatrocentos e cincoênta talentos de ouro: e os trouxeram ao rei Salomão.
