2 Chronicles 7
1 And when Solomon had made an end of praying, a fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt-offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house.
Und als Salomo geendigt hatte zu beten, da fuhr das Feuer vom Himmel herab und verzehrte das Brandopfer und die Schlachtopfer; und die Herrlichkeit Jehovas erfüllte das Haus.
2 And the priests were not able to enter into the house of the Lord; because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house.
Und die Priester konnten nicht in das Haus Jehovas hineingehen, denn die Herrlichkeit Jehovas erfüllte das Haus Jehovas.
3 And all the children of Israel were looking on as the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord [was resting] upon the house; and they kneeled down with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and prostrated themselves, and gave thanks unto the Lord, for he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness.
Und als alle Kinder Israel das Feuer herabfahren sahen und die Herrlichkeit Jehovas über dem Hause, da beugten sie sich, mit dem Antlitz zur Erde, auf das Pflaster und beteten an, und sie priesen Jehova, weil er gütig ist, weil seine Güte ewiglich währt.
4 And the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord.
Und der König und das ganze Volk opferten Schlachtopfer vor Jehova.
5 And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep: and so they dedicated the house of God, the king and all the people.
Und der König Salomo opferte als Schlachtopfer zweiundzwanzigtausend Rinder und hundertzwanzigtausend Schafe. Und der König und das ganze Volk weihten das Haus Gottes ein.
6 And the priests were standing on their stations, and the Levites with the instruments of the music of the Lord, which king David had made to give thanks unto the Lord, because unto everlasting endureth his kindness, with the song of praise of David in their hand; and the priests blew the trumpets opposite to them, and all Israel were standing.
Und die Priester standen auf ihren Posten, und die Leviten mit den Musikinstrumenten Jehovas, die der König David gemacht hatte, um Jehova zu preisen, denn seine Güte währt ewiglich, wenn David durch sie lobpries; und die Priester trompeteten ihnen gegenüber, und ganz Israel stand.
7 And Solomon hallowed the interior of the court that was before the house of the Lord; for he prepared there the burnt-offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings; because the copper altar which Solomon had made was not able to contain the burnt-offerings, and the meat-offerings, and the fat.
Und Salomo heiligte die Mitte des Hofes, der vor dem Hause Jehovas lag; denn er opferte daselbst die Brandopfer und die Fettstücke der Friedensopfer; denn der eherne Altar, den Salomo gemacht hatte, konnte das Brandopfer und das Speisopfer und die Fettstücke nicht fassen.
8 And Solomon held the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Chamath unto the river of Egypt.
Und so feierten Salomo und ganz Israel mit ihm, eine sehr große Versammlung, von dem Eingang Hamaths bis an den Fluß Ägyptens, zu selbiger Zeit das Fest sieben Tage.
9 And they held on the eighth day a solemn assembly; for the dedication of the altar they held seven days, and the feast seven days.
Und am achten Tage hielten sie eine Festversammlung; denn sie feierten die Einweihung des Altars sieben Tage und das Fest sieben Tage.
10 And on the three-and-twentieth day of the seventh month he dismissed the people unto their tents, joyful and glad of heart because of the good that the Lord had done for David, and for Solomon, and for Israel his people.
Und am dreiundzwanzigsten Tage des siebten Monats entließ er das Volk nach ihren Zelten, fröhlich und gutes Mutes wegen des Guten, das Jehova dem David und dem Salomo und seinem Volke Israel erwiesen hatte.
11 Thus did Solomon complete the house of the Lord, and the king's house; and [in] all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the Lord, and in his own house, he prospered.
Und so vollendete Salomo das Haus Jehovas und das Haus des Königs; und alles, was Salomo ins Herz gekommen war, im Hause Jehovas und in seinem Hause zu machen, war ihm gelungen.
12 Then appeared the Lord to Solomon during the night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and I have made choice of this place for myself as a house of sacrifice.
Da erschien Jehova dem Salomo in der Nacht und sprach zu ihm: Ich habe dein Gebet gehört und mir diesen Ort zum Opferhause erwählt.
13 If I shut up the heavens that there be no rain, or if I give a charge to the locusts to devour off the land, or if I send a pestilence among my people:
Wenn ich den Himmel verschließe, und kein Regen sein wird, und wenn ich der Heuschrecke gebiete, das Land abzufressen, und wenn ich eine Pest unter mein Volk sende;
14 And if my people, over whom my name is called, do then humble themselves, and pray, and seek my presence, and turn away from their evil ways: then will I also hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
und mein Volk, welches nach meinem Namen genannt wird, demütigt sich, und sie beten und suchen mein Angesicht, und kehren um von ihren bösen Wegen: so werde ich vom Himmel her hören und ihre Sünden vergeben und ihr Land heilen.
15 Now, my eyes shall be open, and my ears attentive unto the prayer on this place.
Nun werden meinen Augen offen und meine Ohren aufmerksam sein auf das Gebet an diesem Orte.
16 And now I have chosen and hallowed this house, that my name may be there for ever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there at all times.
Und nun habe ich dieses Haus erwählt und geheiligt, daß mein Name daselbst sei ewiglich; und meine Augen und mein Herz sollen daselbst sein alle Tage.
17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father hath walked, so as to do in accordance with all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my ordinances:
Und du, wenn du vor mir wandeln wirst, so wie dein Vater David gewandelt hat, daß du tust nach allem, was ich dir geboten habe, und wenn du meine Satzungen und meine Rechte beobachten wirst,
18 Then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom, just as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall never fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
so werde ich den Thron deines Königtums befestigen, so wie ich mit deinem Vater David einen Bund gemacht und gesagt habe: Es soll dir nicht an einem Manne fehlen, der über Israel herrsche.
19 But if ye will indeed turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and will go and serve other gods, and bow down to them:
Wenn ihr euch aber abwenden und meine Satzungen und meine Gebote, die ich euch vorgelegt habe, verlassen werdet, und werdet hingehen und anderen Göttern dienen und euch vor ihnen niederbeugen,
20 Then will I pluck them up out of my land which I have given unto them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast away from my sight, and I will render it to be for a proverb and for a by-word among all the people.
so werde ich sie herausreißen aus meinem Lande, das ich ihnen gegeben habe; und dieses Haus, welches ich meinem Namen geheiligt habe, werde ich von meinem Angesicht wegwerfen, und werde es zum Sprichwort und zur Spottrede machen unter allen Völkern.
21 And this house, which hath been so exalted, shall become an astonishment to every one that passeth by it: so that he will say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and unto this house?
Und dieses Haus, das erhaben war jeder, der an demselben vorbeigeht, wird sich entsetzen und sagen: Warum hat Jehova diesem Lande und diesem Hause also getan?
22 And men shall then say, For the cause that they forsook the Lord the God of their fathers, who had brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and they took hold of other gods, and bowed down to them, and served them: therefore hath he brought upon them all this evil.
Und man wird sagen: Darum, daß sie Jehova, den Gott ihrer Väter, der sie aus dem Lande Ägypten herausgeführt hat, verlassen und andere Götter angenommen und sich vor ihnen niedergebeugt und ihnen gedient haben; darum hat er all dieses Unglück über sie gebracht.
