2 Chronicles 5
1 And so was ended all the work which Solomon made for the house of the Lord; and Solomon brought in the things sanctified by David his father; and the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he placed in the treasuries of the house of God.
Así quedó terminada toda la obra que Salomón hizo para la casa de Yahvé. Salomón trajo las cosas que su padre David había dedicado, la plata, el oro y todos los utensilios, y los puso en los tesoros de la casa de Dios.
2 Then did Solomon assemble the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the divisions of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.
Entonces Salomón reunió en Jerusalén a los ancianos de Israel y a todos los jefes de las tribus, a los jefes de familia de los hijos de Israel, para hacer subir el arca de la alianza de Yahvé desde la ciudad de David, que es Sión.
3 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king at the feast which is [in] the seventh month.
Así que todos los hombres de Israel se reunieron con el rey en la fiesta, que era en el mes séptimo.
4 All the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark.
Vinieron todos los ancianos de Israel. Los levitas subieron el arca.
5 And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle: these did the priests and the Levites bring up.
Subieron el arca, la Tienda del Encuentro y todos los utensilios sagrados que estaban en la Tienda. Los sacerdotes levitas los subieron.
6 And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, which could not be numbered nor told for multitude.
El rey Salomón y toda la congregación de Israel que se había reunido con él estaban ante el arca, sacrificando ovejas y ganado que no se podía contar ni numerar por la multitud.
7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto its place, into the debir of the house, into the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubim.
Los sacerdotes introdujeron el arca de la alianza de Yahvé en su lugar, en el santuario interior de la casa, en el lugar santísimo, bajo las alas de los querubines.
8 And the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its staves from above.
Porque los querubines extendían sus alas sobre el lugar del arca, y los querubines cubrían el arca y sus varas por encima.
9 And they had made the staves so long that the ends of the staves were seen [standing out] from the ark in the front of the debir; but they were not seen without; and they have remained there until this day.
Los postes eran tan largos que los extremos de los postes se veían desde el arca frente al santuario interior, pero no se veían afuera; y así es hasta el día de hoy.
10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses had placed [therein] at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
En el arca no había nada más que las dos tablas que Moisés puso allí en Horeb, cuando Yahvé hizo la alianza con los hijos de Israel, al salir de Egipto.
11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place; for all the priests that were present had sanctified themselves, the divisions not having been observed; —
Cuando los sacerdotes salieron del lugar santo (porque todos los sacerdotes que estaban presentes se habían santificado y no guardaban sus divisiones;
12 And the Levites the singers, all together, of Assaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east side of the altar, and with them were one hundred and twenty priests blowing on trumpets; —
también los levitas cantores, todos ellos, Asaf, Hemán, Jedutún, sus hijos y sus hermanos, vestidos de lino fino, con címbalos e instrumentos de cuerda y arpas, estaban de pie al extremo oriental del altar, y con ellos ciento veinte sacerdotes que tocaban las trompetas);
13 And it came thus to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice [accompanied] with trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and in praising the Lord, For he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness: that the house, even the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud;
cuando los trompetistas y los cantores eran como uno solo, para hacer oír un solo sonido en la alabanza y la acción de gracias a Yahvé; y cuando alzaban la voz con las trompetas y los címbalos y los instrumentos de música, y alababan a Yahvé, diciendo “Porque él es bueno, porque su bondad es eterna”. Entonces la casa se llenó de una nube, la casa de Yahvé,
14 And the priests were not able to stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
de modo que los sacerdotes no podían estar de pie para ministrar a causa de la nube, porque la gloria de Yahvé llenaba la casa de Dios.
