2 Chronicles 4
1 He made also an altar of copper, twenty cubits being its length, and twenty cubits its breadth, and ten cubits its height.
Et il fit un autel d'airain long de vingt coudées, large de vingt coudées, et haut de dix coudées.
2 He made also the molten sea, being ten cubits from the one brim to the other, rounded all about, and it was five cubits in height: and a line of thirty cubits did encompass it round about.
Et il fit la Mer, en fonte, ayant dix coudées de l'un de ses bords à l'autre, ronde dans son contour et haute de cinq coudées, et un cordon de trente coudées l'embrassait tout à l'entour.
3 And likenesses of oxen were under it, encompassing it all round about, ten in a cubit, encircling the sea round about: the oxen were in two rows [and were] cast [with it], when it was cast.
Et des figures de coloquintes étaient en dessous à l'entour, l'embrassant dans sa Circonférence à raison de dix par coudée, ceignant la Mer dans sa circonférence; il y avait deux rangées de coloquintes coulées d'une même fonte avec elle.
4 It was standing upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was resting above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.
Elle reposait sur douze taureaux regardant, trois le septentrion, et trois l'occident, et trois le midi, et trois l'orient, et toutes leurs croupes étaient tournées en dedans, et la mer posait dessus en hauteur.
5 And its thickness was a hand's breadth, and its brim like the brim of a cup, with lily-buds; and it could hold and contain three thousand baths.
Et son épaisseur était d'une palme, et son rebord comme le travail du rebord d'une coupe, en fleur de lis, et quant à sa capacité en baths, elle en pouvait contenir trois mille.
6 He made also ten lavers; and he placed five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: what belonged to the burnt-offering they rinsed off at them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.
Et il fit dix bassins, dont il plaça cinq à droite et cinq à gauche, pour y laver; on y rinçait la batterie de l'holocauste, et la Mer servait à l'ablution des Prêtres.
7 And he made ten candlesticks of gold according to their prescribed manner: and he placed [them] in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left.
Et il fit les candélabres d'or, selon leur façon, et les plaça dans le Temple, cinq à droite et cinq à gauche.
8 He made also ten tables, and he set them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made a hundred bowls of gold.
Et il fit dix tables qu'il déposa dans le temple, cinq à droite et cinq à gauche; et il fit cent jattes d'or.
9 And he made the court of the priests, and the great out-court, and doors for the out-court, and their doors he overlaid with copper.
Et il fit le Parvis des Prêtres, et le grand Parvis et des portes au grand Parvis, et il en revêtit d'airain les battants.
10 And the sea he placed on the right side toward the east, opposite to the south.
Et il plaça la Mer au côté droit de l'édifice, à l'orient vers le midi.
11 And Churam made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. And Churam made an end of doing the work which he made for king Solomon in the house of God:
Et Huram fit les pots, les pelles et les jattes; et Huram termina le travail qu'il faisait pour le roi Salomon dans la Maison de Dieu,
12 The two pillars, and the bowls, and the capitals on the top of the two pillars, and the two networks to cover the bowl-shaped capitals which were on the top of the pillars;
deux colonnes et les globes et les chapiteaux sur le faîte des deux colonnes et les deux treillis recouvrant les deux globes des chapiteaux sur le faîte des colonnes,
13 And the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals which were upon the front of the pillars.
et les quatre cents grenades des deux treillis, deux rangées de grenades par treillis pour couvrir les deux globes des chapiteaux aux colonnes;
14 The bases also did he make, and the lavers made he upon the bases.
et il fit les piédestaux et fit les bassins posant sur les piédestaux;
15 The one sea, and the twelve oxen under it,
la Mer, unique, et les douze taureaux qui étaient dessous;
16 And the pots also, and the shovels, and the forks, and all their instruments, did Churam-Abiv make for king Solomon for the house of the Lord, of polished copper.
et les pots et les pelles et les fourchettes et tous les ustensiles assortis, Huram-Abiv les fit pour le roi Salomon dans le Temple de l'Éternel, en airain poli.
17 In the plain of the Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay-ground between Succoth and Zeredathah.
C'est dans le Cercle du Jourdain que le roi les fit couler dans une terre glaise entre Succoth et Tserédatha.
18 And Solomon made all these vessels in very great abundance; for the weight of the copper was not inquired into.
Et Salomon fit tous ces ustensiles en grande quantité; car on ne s'enquit point du poids de l'airain.
19 And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained to the house of God; and the altar of gold also, and the tables whereon the show-bread [was set];
Et Salomon fit tous les meubles qui étaient dans la Maison de Dieu, savoir, l'autel d'or et les tables sur lesquelles étaient les pains de présentation,
20 And the candlesticks with their lamps, to light them after the prescribed manner before the debir, of pure gold.
et les candélabres et leurs lampes d'or pur pour brûler selon le rite devant le Sanctuaire,
21 And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, were of gold, the purest of gold;
et les fleurs et les lampes et les pinces d'or, tout d'or pur;
22 And the knives, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers were of pure gold; and the entrance of the house, its inner doors for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.
et les couteaux et les jattes et les coupes et les bouilloires d'or fin, et à la porte du Temple ses battants, intérieurs, du Lieu Très-Saint, et les battants des portes de l'édifice, du Temple, d'or.
