2 Chronicles 3
1 And Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where He had appeared unto David his father, on the place that David had prepared in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
Kisha Selemani akaanza kuijenga nyumba ya Yahwe katika Yerusalemu juu ya Mlima Moria, ambako Yahwe alimtokea Daudi baba yake. Aliandaa sehemu ambayo Daudi aliikusudia, katika sakafu ya kupuria ya Arauna Myebusi.
2 And he began to build on the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
Alianza kujenga siku ya pili ya mwezi wa pili, katika mwaka wa nne wa utawala wake.
3 Now in this manner was the foundation laid of the house of God [at its] building [by] Solomon: The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
Sasa hivi ndinyo vipimo vya ule msingi ambao Selemani alijenga kwa ajili ya nyumba ya Mungu. Akitumia mtindo wa vipimo vya zamani, urefu ulikuwa mikono sitini, na upana ulikuwa mikono ishirini.
4 And the porch that was in the front of the length was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was a hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
Urefu wa ukumbi mbele ya nyumba ulikuwa mikono ishirini, ukilingana na upana wa nyumba, urefu wake kwenda juu pia ulikuwa mikono ishirini, na Selemani akaifunika sehemu ya ndani kwa dhahabu halisi.
5 And the great house he ceiled with fir-wood, which he overlaid with pure gold, and he wrought thereon palm-trees and chains.
Akailitengeneza paa la ukumbi mkuu kwa miti ya miberoshi, ambayo aliifunika kwa dhahabu halisi, na ambayo aliifunika kwa miti ya mitende na minyororo.
6 And he overlaid the house with costly stones for ornament: and the gold was gold of Parvayim.
Akaipamba nyumba kwa vito vya thamani; dhahabu ilikuwa dhahabu kutoka Parvaimu.
7 And he covered the house, the beams, the sills, and its walls, and its doors, with gold: and he engraved cherubim on the walls.
Pia akazifunika boriti zake, vizingiti, kuta, na milango kwa dhahabu; akachonga makerubi juu ya kuta zake.
8 And he made the most holy house, its length being in front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits: and he covered it with fine gold, [amounting] to six hundred talents.
Akaijenga sehemu ya patakatifu pa patakatifu. Urefu wake ulilingana na upana wa nyumba, mikono ishirini, na upana wake pia ulikuwa mikono ishirini. Aliifunika kwa dhahabu halisi, thamani yake ilikuwa talanta mia sita.
9 And the weight of the nails [amounted] to fifty shekels of gold. And the upper chambers he covered with gold.
Uzito wa misumari ulikuwa shekeli hamsini za dhahabu. Alizifunika sehemu za juu kwa dhahabu.
10 And he made in the most holy house two cherubim of sculpture work, and they overlaid them with gold.
Akachonga makerubi wawili kwa ajili ya sehemu za patakatifu pa patakatifu, wahunzi wakayafunika kwa dhahabu. (Maandishi ya kale yanasema: makerubi wawili waliochongwa kwenye mbao).
11 And regarding the wings of the cherubim their length was twenty cubits; the wing of the one amounting to five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing of five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
Mabawa ya makerubi yalikuwa na urefu wa mikono ishirini yote kwa pamoja; bawa la kerubi mmoja lilikuwa na urefu wa mikono mitano, lilifikia kwenye ukuta wa chumba; bawa jingine lilikuwa na urefu wa mikono mitano pia.
12 And the wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing of five cubits was joined closely to the wing of the other cherub.
Bawa la kerubi mwingine lilikuwa mikono mitano, likifikia kwenye ukuta wa chumba; bawa lake jingine lilikuwa mikono mitano pia, likigusana na bawa la kerubi wa kwanza.
13 The wings of these cherubim [as they were] spread out were twenty cubits: and they were standing on their feet, and their faces were inward.
Mabawa ya makerubi hawa yalienea jumla ya mikono mitano. Makerubi yalisimama kwa miguu yake, na nyuso zake zikiuelekea ukumbi mkuu.
14 And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought thereon cherubim.
Akatengeneza pazia la samawati, dhambarau, na sufu nyekundu, na kitani safi, na akachora makerubi juu yake.
15 And he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits in length, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
Selemani pia akatengeneza nguzo mbili, kila moja ikiwa na urefu wa mikono thelathini na tano kwenda juu, kwa maana mbele ya nyumba; taji ambazo zilikuwa juu ya nguzo zilikuwa na urefu wa mikono mitano kwenda juu.
16 And he made chains in the debir; and [others which] he placed on the top of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and placed them on the chains.
Akatengeneza minyororo kwa ajili ya nguzo na akaiweka juu yake, pia akatengeneza maakomamanga mia moja na akayaunganisha kwenye minyororo.
17 And he set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and he called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Bo'az.
Akazisimamisha nguzo mbele ya hekalu, mkono wa kulia, na nyingine mkono wa kushoto; akaiita nguzo ya kulia Yakini, na nguzo ya kushoto akaiita Boazi.
