2 Chronicles 28
1 Twenty years old was Achaz when he became king, and sixteen years did he reign in Jerusalem; and he did not what is right in the eyes of the Lord, like David his father;
ଆହସ୍ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସମୟରେ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ହୋଇଥିଲେ ଓ ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଷୋଳ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ। ପୁଣି, ସେ ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯଥାର୍ଥ କର୍ମ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
2 But he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for the Be'alim.
ମାତ୍ର ସେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଲେ, ମଧ୍ୟ ବାଲ୍ଦେବଗଣ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଛାଞ୍ଚରେ ଢଳା ପ୍ରତିମା ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।
3 And he also burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his sons in the fire, after the abominable acts of the nations that the Lord had driven out from before the children of Israel.
ଆହୁରି, ସେ ହିନ୍ନୋମ ପୁତ୍ରର ଉପତ୍ୟକାରେ ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଯେଉଁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୂର କରିଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବ୍ୟବହାରାନୁସାରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କଲେ।
4 And he sacrificed and burnt incense on the high-places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
ପୁଣି, ସେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀରେ ଓ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ଓ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ହରିଦ୍ବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବୃକ୍ଷ ତଳେ ବଳିଦାନ କଲେ ଓ ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇଲେ।
5 Wherefore the Lord his God gave him up into the hand of the king of Syria; and they defeated his people, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And also into the hand of the king of Israel was he given up, and he defeated his people with a great slaughter.
ଏହେତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅରାମ-ରାଜାର ହସ୍ତରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ଦମ୍ମେଶକକୁ ନେଇଗଲେ। ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ମହାସଂହାରରେ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ।
6 And Pekach the son of Remalyahu slew in Judah one hundred and twenty thousand in one day, all being valiant men; because they had forsaken the Lord, the God of their fathers.
କାରଣ ରମଲୀୟର ପୁତ୍ର ପେକହ ଯିହୁଦାରେ ଏକ ଲକ୍ଷ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ହଜାର ବିକ୍ରମଶାଳୀ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଦିନରେ ବଧ କଲା; ଯେଣୁ ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଥିଲେ।
7 And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Ma'asseyahu the king's son, and 'Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah the second in rank to the king.
ପୁଣି, ସିଖ୍ରି ନାମରେ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମୀୟ ଏକ ବିକ୍ରମଶାଳୀ ଲୋକ ରାଜପୁତ୍ର ମାସେୟକୁ ଓ ଗୃହାଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଅସ୍ରୀକାମକୁ ଓ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ (ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ) ଇଲ୍କାନାକୁ ବଧ କଲା।
8 And the children of Israel led away captive from their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and also much booty did they plunder from them, and they brought the booty to Samaria.
ଆଉ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଭ୍ରାତୃଗଣର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ, ପୁତ୍ର ଓ କନ୍ୟା, ଦୁଇ ଲକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରାଣୀକୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ନେଇଗଲେ, ମଧ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବହୁତ ଲୁଟଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ନେଲେ ଓ ସେହି ଲୁଟ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟସବୁ ଶମରୀୟାକୁ ଆଣିଲେ।
9 But there was a prophet of the Lord, 'Oded was his name; and he went out to meet the host that was coming to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because of the fury of the Lord the God of your fathers against Judah, hath he given them up into your hand, and ye have slain among them in a rage that reacheth as far as the heavens.
ମାତ୍ର ସେଠାରେ ଓଦେଦ୍ ନାମରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ଥିଲେ; ସେ ଶମରୀୟାକୁ ଆଗତ ସୈନ୍ୟଦଳ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ଦେଖ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃଗଣର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯିହୁଦା ପ୍ରତି କୋପାନ୍ୱିତ ହେବାରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଗଗନସ୍ପର୍ଶୀ କ୍ରୋଧାଗ୍ନି ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିଅଛ।
10 And now ye think to force the children of Judah and Jerusalem to become bond-men and bond-women unto you; but surely are there not with you, even with you, trespasses against the Lord your God?
ଆଉ, ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ସନ୍ତାନସନ୍ତତିଗଣକୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ବନ୍ଧାଦାସ ଓ ବନ୍ଧାଦାସୀ କରି ରଖିବାକୁ ମନସ୍ଥ କରୁଅଛ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କʼଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସ୍ୱକୃତ ଅପରାଧ ନାହିଁ?
11 And now hear me, and restore the captives, whom ye have taken captive from your brethren; for the fierce wrath of the Lord is over you.
ଏହେତୁ ଏବେ ଆମ୍ଭ କଥା ଶୁଣ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଭ୍ରାତୃଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ଆଣିଅଛ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଫେରି ପଠାଇଦିଅ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ଡ କ୍ରୋଧ ରହିଅଛି।”
12 Then arose certain men of the heads of the children of Ephraim, 'Azaryahu the son of Jehochanan, Berechyahu the son of Meshillemoth, and Jechizkiyahu the son of Shallum, and 'Amassa the son of Chadlai, against those that were come from the army.
ଏଥିରେ ଯିହୋହାନନ୍ର ପୁତ୍ର ଅସରୀୟ, ମଶିଲ୍ଲୋମୋତ୍ର ପୁତ୍ର ବେରିଖୀୟ ଓ ଶଲ୍ଲୁମ୍ର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହିଷ୍କିୟ ଓ ହଦ୍ଲୟର ପୁତ୍ର ଅମାସା, ଏହି କେତେକ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ପ୍ରଧାନ ଲୋକ ଯୁଦ୍ଧରୁ ଆଗତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
13 And they said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither; for in addition to the guiltiness against the Lord [resting] on us, ye think to add unto our sins and unto our guiltiness; for great is the guiltiness [resting] on us, and there is fierce wrath over Israel.
“ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବନ୍ଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଆଣିବ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆହୁରି ଅପରାଧଗ୍ରସ୍ତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପାପ ଓ ଅପରାଧସକଳର ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିବାକୁ ମନସ୍ଥ କରୁଅଛ; ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭାରୀ ଅପରାଧ ହୋଇଅଛି ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ଡ କ୍ରୋଧ ରହିଅଛି।”
14 So the armed men abandoned the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the assembly.
ତହିଁରେ ଅସ୍ତ୍ରଧାରୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ସେହି ବନ୍ଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ସକଳ ଲୁଟିତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କର ଓ ସମଗ୍ର ସମାଜର ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ରଖିଲେ।
15 And then arose the men who have been expressed by name, and took hold of the captives, and all that were naked among them they clothed from the booty; and they gave them garments and shoes, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm-trees, near their brethren; and then did they return to Samaria.
ତହିଁରେ ପୂର୍ବୋକ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ଉଠି ବନ୍ଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନେଲେ ଓ ଲୁଟିତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ନେଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସମସ୍ତ ବସ୍ତ୍ରହୀନ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଓ ପାଦୁକା ପିନ୍ଧାଇଲେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୋଜନପାନ କରିବାକୁ ଦେଇ ତୈଳ ମର୍ଦ୍ଦନ କଲେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଦୁର୍ବଳ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭରେ ଚଢ଼ାଇ ଖର୍ଜ୍ଜୁରପୁର ଯିରୀହୋକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଭ୍ରାତୃଗଣ ନିକଟକୁ ନେଇଗଲେ; ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେମାନେ ଶମରୀୟାକୁ ଫେରି ଆସିଲେ।
16 At that time sent king Achaz unto the kings of Assyria to help him.
ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଆହସ୍ ରାଜା ଆପଣାର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ଅଶୂରୀୟ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇଲେ।
17 Moreover the Edomites came again and defeated [the men of] Judah, and carried away captives.
କାରଣ ଇଦୋମୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶକୁ ଆସି ପରାସ୍ତ କରି ଅନେକଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ନେଇ ଯାଇଥିଲେ।
18 And the Philistines invaded the cities of the lowlands, and of the south of Judah, and captured Beth-shemesh, and Ayalon, and Gederoth, and Socho with its villages, and Thimnah with its villages, and Gimzo with its villages; and they dwelt there.
ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତଳଭୂମିର ଓ ଯିହୁଦା-ଦକ୍ଷିଣାଞ୍ଚଳର ନଗରମାନ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରି ବେଥ୍-ଶେମଶ ଓ ଅୟାଲୋନ୍ ଓ ଗଦେରୋତ୍, ପୁଣି ସୋଖୋ ଓ ତହିଁର ଉପନଗର, ତିମ୍ନା ଓ ତହିଁର ଉପନଗର, ଗିମ୍ସୋ ଓ ତହିଁର ଉପନଗରସକଳ ହସ୍ତଗତ କରି ସେଠାରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲେ।
19 For the Lord humbled Judah on account of Achaz the king of Israel; for he made Judah unruly, and acted very faithlessly against the Lord.
କାରଣ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜା ଆହସ୍ଙ୍କ ସକାଶୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯିହୁଦାକୁ ଖର୍ବ କଲେ; ଯେଣୁ ସେ ଯିହୁଦା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାଚାର କରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ନିତାନ୍ତ ସତ୍ୟ-ଲଙ୍ଘନ କରିଥିଲେ।
20 Then came against him Tilgath-pilneesser the king of Assyria, and distressed him, but strengthened him not.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ତିଗ୍ଲତ୍-ପିଲ୍ନେଷର ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲା, ମାତ୍ର ତାଙ୍କୁ ବଳ ନ ଦେଇ କ୍ଳେଶ ଦେଲା।
21 Although Achaz took away a portion [out] of the house of the Lord, and [out] of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: he yet gave him no assistance.
କାରଣ ଆହସ୍ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରୁ ଓ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଓ ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କ ଗୃହରୁ ଧନ ହରଣ କରି ଅଶୂରର ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ତଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ତାଙ୍କର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ହେଲା ନାହିଁ।
22 And in the time that he distressed him, became he yet more faithless against the Lord, —yea, he, king Achaz;
ପୁଣି, ସେହି ଆହସ୍ ରାଜା ଆପଣାର କ୍ଳେଶ ସମୟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆହୁରି ସତ୍ୟ-ଲଙ୍ଘନ କଲେ।
23 And he sacrificed unto the gods of [the people of] Damascus, who had smitten him; and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria do help them, [therefore] will I sacrifice unto them, that they may help me. But they only became to him a stumbling-block for him and for all Israel.
କାରଣ ଯେଉଁ ଦମ୍ମେଶକୀୟ ଦେବଗଣ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ସେ ବଳିଦାନ କଲେ; ଆଉ ସେ କହିଲେ, ଅରାମୀୟ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ଦେବଗଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହେତୁ ମୁଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବଳିଦାନ କରିବି, ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ମୋହର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବେ। ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ଓ ସମଗ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ବିନାଶର କାରଣ ହେଲେ।
24 And Achaz gathered up the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and locked up the doors of the house of the Lord, and he made for himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଆହସ୍ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ପାତ୍ରସକଳ ଏକତ୍ର କଲେ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ସେହି ପାତ୍ରସବୁ କାଟି ଖଣ୍ଡ ଖଣ୍ଡ କଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହର କବାଟସବୁ ବନ୍ଦ କଲେ; ପୁଣି ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ କୋଣରେ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦି ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।
25 And in each and every city of Judah made he high-places to burn incense unto other gods; and he provoked to anger the Lord the God of his fathers.
ଆହୁରି, ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବଗଣ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଯିହୁଦାର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ନଗରରେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ପିତୃଗଣଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କଲେ।
26 And the rest of his acts and of all his ways, the first and the last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
ତାଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଆଦ୍ୟନ୍ତସକଳ ଆଚରଣ, ଦେଖ, ଯିହୁଦାର ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖାଅଛି।
27 And Achaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, in Jerusalem; for they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son became king in his stead.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଆହସ୍ଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପରେ, ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ, ନଗର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କବର ଦେଲେ; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ କବରକୁ ଆଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ହିଜକୀୟ ତାଙ୍କର ପଦରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।
