1 Samuel 19
1 And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that he would kill David. But Jonathan the son of Saul delighted greatly in David.
Saul falou com Jonathan, seu filho, e com todos os seus servos, para que matassem David. Mas Jônatas, filho de Saul, ficou muito contente com Davi.
2 And Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee; now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself in the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:
Jonathan disse a David, dizendo: “Saul, meu pai, procura matar você. Agora, portanto, por favor, cuide de si mesmo pela manhã, viva em um lugar secreto, e esconda-se.
3 And I will go out and stand by the side of my father in the field where thou art, and I myself will speak of thee to my father; and I will see what it is, and I will tell thee.
Vou sair e ficar ao lado de meu pai no campo onde você está, e falarei com meu pai sobre você; e se eu vir alguma coisa, eu lhe direi”.
4 And Jonathan spoke favorably of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; since he hath not sinned against thee, and because his deeds are very good for thee;
Jonathan falou bem de Davi a Saul, seu pai, e lhe disse: “Não deixe o rei pecar contra seu servo, contra Davi; porque ele não pecou contra você, e porque suas obras têm sido muito boas para você;
5 And he did put his life in his hand, and he slew the Philistine, and the Lord wrought a great salvation for all Israel; thou sawest it, and wast rejoiced: wherefore then wilt thou commit sin on innocent blood, by slaying David without a cause?
pois ele colocou sua vida na mão e golpeou o filisteu, e Javé trabalhou uma grande vitória para todo Israel. Vós o vistes e vos regozijastes. Por que então pecareis contra o sangue inocente, para matar David sem uma causa”?
6 And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul swore, As the Lord liveth, he shall not be put to death.
Saul ouviu a voz de Jonathan; e Saul jurou: “Como Yahweh vive, ele não será morto”.
7 And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan told him all these words. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in times past.
Jonathan ligou para David, e Jonathan lhe mostrou todas essas coisas. Então Jonathan trouxe Davi a Saul, e ele estava em sua presença como antes.
8 And the war occurred again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and smote them with a great defeat, and they fled from before him.
Houve novamente uma guerra. David saiu e lutou com os filisteus, e os matou com uma grande matança; e eles fugiram diante dele.
9 And the evil spirit from the Lord came upon Saul, and he was sitting in his house with his spear in his hand; and David was playing with his hand.
Um espírito maligno de Javé estava sobre Saul quando ele estava sentado em sua casa com sua lança na mão; e David estava tocando música com sua mão.
10 And Saul sought to strike David through with the spear even to the wall; but he slipped away from before Saul, who struck the spear into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.
Saul tentou prender Davi à parede com a lança, mas ele escapou da presença de Saul; e ele enfiou a lança na parede. Davi fugiu e escapou naquela noite.
11 But Saul sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning; and Michal his wife told it to David, saying, If thou save not thy life this night, tomorrow thou wilt be put to death.
Saul enviou mensageiros à casa de Davi para vigiá-lo e matá-lo pela manhã. Michal, esposa de David, disse-lhe, dizendo: “Se você não salvar sua vida esta noite, amanhã você será morto”.
12 And Michal let David down through the window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.
Então Michal decepcionou David através da janela. Ele foi embora, fugiu, e escapou.
13 And Michal took an image, and put it in the bed, and a pillow of goats' hair she put for its head to rest on, and covered it with a cloth.
Michal pegou o terapeuta e o colocou na cama, colocou uma almofada de cabelo de cabra em sua cabeça e o cobriu com roupas.
14 And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick.
Quando Saul enviou mensageiros para levar David, ela disse: “Ele está doente”.
15 And Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may put him to death.
Saul enviou os mensageiros para ver David, dizendo: “Tragam-no até mim na cama, para que eu possa matá-lo”.
16 And when the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow of goats' hair for its head to rest on.
Quando os mensageiros entraram, eis que o terapeuta estava na cama, com o travesseiro de cabelo de cabra na cabeça.
17 And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou thus deceived me, and sent away my enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal said to Saul, He said unto me, Let me go away: why should I kill thee?
Saul disse a Michal: “Por que você me enganou desta maneira e deixou meu inimigo ir, para que ele escapasse”? Michal respondeu a Saul: “Ele me disse: 'Deixe-me ir! Por que eu deveria matá-lo”?”
18 So David fled, and escaped, and came unto Samuel to Ramah, and he told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and remained in Nayoth.
Agora David fugiu e escapou, e foi ter com Samuel em Ramah, e contou-lhe tudo o que Saul lhe havia feito. Ele e Samuel foram e viveram em Naioth.
19 And it was told unto Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Nayoth near Ramah.
Saul foi informado, dizendo: “Eis que Davi está em Naioth, em Ramah”.
20 And Saul sent messengers to take David; and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as superintendent over them: then came upon the messengers of Saul the spirit of God, and they also prophesied.
Saul enviou mensageiros para apreender Davi; e quando viram a companhia dos profetas profetizando, e Samuel em pé como cabeça sobre eles, o Espírito de Deus veio sobre os mensageiros de Saul, e eles também profetizaram.
21 And when it was told to Saul, he sent other messengers, and these prophesied likewise. And Saul sent again messengers the third time, and these also prophesied.
Quando Saul foi informado, ele enviou outros mensageiros, e eles também profetizaram. Saul enviou mensageiros novamente pela terceira vez, e eles também profetizaram.
22 Then went he himself also to Ramah, and came as far as the great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And some one said, Behold, they are at Nayoth near Ramah.
Então ele também foi a Ramah, e veio ao grande poço que está em Secu: e perguntou: “Onde estão Samuel e David? Um disse: “Eis que eles estão em Naioth em Ramah”.
23 And he went thither to Nayoth near Ramah: and there came upon him also the Spirit of God, and he went on, and prophesied as he went, until he came to Nayoth near Ramah.
Ele foi lá para Naioth em Ramah. Então o Espírito de Deus veio sobre ele também, e ele continuou, e profetizou, até chegar a Naioth, em Ramah.
24 And he also stripped off his clothes, and he also prophesied himself before Samuel, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore people are in the habit of saying, Is Saul too among the prophets?
Ele também despiu suas roupas. Também profetizou diante de Samuel e deitou-se nu todo aquele dia e toda aquela noite. Portanto, eles dizem: “Saul também está entre os profetas?
