1 Kings 6

1 And it came to pass, in the four hundred and eightieth year after the going forth of the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, of the reign of Solomon over Israel, that he built the house unto the Lord.

യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെ നാനൂറ്റെണ്പതാം സംവത്സരത്തിൽ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ശലോമോന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ നാലാം ആണ്ടിൽ രണ്ടാം മാസമായ സീവ് മാസത്തിൽ അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിവാൻ തുടങ്ങി.

2 And the house which king Solomon built unto the Lord, was sixty cubits in length, and twenty in breadth, and thirty cubits in height.

ശലോമോൻരാജാവു യഹോവെക്കു പണിത ആലയം അറുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ഇരുപതു മുഴം വീതിയും മുപ്പതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു

3 And the porch before the temple of the house, was twenty cubits in length, in front of the breadth of the house; and ten cubits in breadth at the east side of the house.

ആലയമായ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുഖമണ്ഡപം ആലയവീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുൻവശത്തു പത്തു മുഴം വീതിയും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു.

4 And he made for the house windows wide without and narrow within.

അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്നു ജാലം ഇണക്കിയ കിളിവാതിലുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

5 And he built on the wall of the house a gallery round about, on the walls of the house round about, of the temple and of the most holy place: and he made side-chambers round about.

മന്ദിരവും അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരവും കൂടിയ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരിനോടു ചേൎത്തു ചുറ്റും തട്ടുതട്ടായി പുറവാരങ്ങളും പണിതു അവയിൽ ചുറ്റും അറകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

6 The nethermost gallery was five cubits in breadth, and the middle was six cubits in breadth, and the third was seven cubits in breadth; for projections had he made to the house round about on the outside, so as to fasten nothing in the walls of the house.

താഴത്തെ പുറവാരം അഞ്ചു മുഴവും നടുവിലത്തേതു ആറു മുഴവും മൂന്നാമത്തേതു ഏഴു മുഴവും വീതിയുള്ളതായിരുന്നു; തുലാങ്ങൾ ആലയഭിത്തികളിൽ അകത്തു ചെല്ലാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പുറമെ ഗളം പണിതു.

7 And the house, when it was in building, was built of entire stones as they had been prepared at the quarry: so that neither hammer, nor axe, nor any tool of iron was heard in the house, while it was in building.

വെട്ടുകുഴിയിൽവെച്ചു തന്നേ കുറവുതീൎത്ത കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു ആലയം പണിതതിനാൽ അതു പണിയുന്ന സമയത്തു ചുറ്റിക, മഴു മുതലായ യാതൊരു ഇരിമ്പായുധത്തിന്റെയും ഒച്ച ആലയത്തിങ്കൽ കേൾപ്പാനില്ലായിരുന്നു.

8 The door for the middle [gallery] sidechamber was in the right side of the house: and with winding stairs they went up into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.

താഴത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽ ആലയത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ആയിരുന്നു; ചുഴൽകോവണിയിൽകൂടെ നടുവിലെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും നടുവിലത്തേതിൽനിന്നു മൂന്നാമത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും കയറാം.

9 So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with hollow tiles, and with boards of cedar.

അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ആലയം പണിതുതീൎത്തു; ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങളും ദേവദാരുപ്പലകയുംകൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തിന്നു മച്ചിട്ടു.

10 And he built the gallery against all the house, [each] five cubits in height; and it was fastened on to the house with timber of cedar.

ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള തട്ടുകൾ അയ്യഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരത്തിൽ അവൻ പണിതു ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തോടു ഇണെച്ചു.

11 And the word of the Lord came to Solomon, saying,

ശലോമോന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

12 This house which thou art building—if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them: then will I perform my word with thee, which I have spoken unto David thy father.

നീ പണിയുന്ന ഈ ആലയം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; നീ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ ആചരിച്ചു എന്റെ വിധികളെ അനുസരിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിന്നിൽ നിവൎത്തിക്കും.

13 And I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel, and I will not forsake my people Israel.

ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കും; എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയില്ല.

14 So did Solomon build the house, and finish it.

അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ ആലയം പണിതുതീൎത്തു.

15 And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar; from the floor of the house to where the walls touched the ceiling did he overlay it on the inside with wood; and he overlaid the floor of the house with boards of fir.

അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവർ അകത്തെവശം ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലംമുതൽ മച്ചുവരെ അകത്തെ വശം മരംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചു; ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലം സരളപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു തളമിട്ടു.

16 And he built the twenty cubits on the lower side of the house with boards of cedar, from the floor to the battlements; and he built it within, for the debir, for the holy of holies.

ആലയത്തിന്റെ പിൻവശം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളത്തിൽ നിലം മുതൽ ഉത്തരം വരെ ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതു: ഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരമായ അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ ഉൾവശം പണിതതു.

17 And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.

അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുൻഭാഗത്തുള്ള മന്ദിരമായ ആലയത്തിന്നു നാല്പതു മുഴം നിളമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

18 And the cedar on the house within was carved with colocynths and opening flowers; all was cedar, no stone was seen.

ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തെ ചുവരിന്മേൽ ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കുമിഴുകളും വിടൎന്ന പുഷ്പങ്ങളും കൊത്തുപണിയായിരുന്നു; എല്ലാം ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു; കല്ലു അശേഷം കാണ്മാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

19 And the debir in the house within did he prepare, to set therein the ark of the covenant of the Lord.

ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ഒരു അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരം ചമെച്ചു.

20 And the interior of the debir was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits was its height: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and he overlaid the altar with cedar-wood.

അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ അകം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ഇരുപതു മുഴം വീതിയും ഇരുപതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അതു തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; ദേവദാരുമരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള ധൂപപീഠവും പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

21 And Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he barred by means of chains of gold the front of the debir; and he overlaid it with gold.

ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകം ശലോമോൻ തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുൻവശത്തു വിലങ്ങത്തിൽ പൊൻചങ്ങല കൊളുത്തി അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that was before the debir did he overlay with gold.

അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ആലയം ആസകലം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്നുള്ള പീഠവും മുഴുവനും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

23 And within the debir he made two cherubims of oleaster-wood, each ten cubits high.

അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരത്തിൽ അവൻ ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു പത്തു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള രണ്ടു കെരൂബുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: [there were] ten cubits from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other.

ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം, കെരൂബിന്റെ മറ്റെ ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം; ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റം മുതൽ മറ്റെ ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റംവരെ പത്തു മുഴം.

25 And the other cherub was also ten cubits: both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.

മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും പത്തു മുഴം; കെരൂബ് രണ്ടിന്നും അളവും ആകൃതിയും ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so that of the other cherub.

ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഉയരം പത്തു മുഴം; മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

27 And he set the cherubim within the innermost part of the house: and they spread forth the wings of the cherubim, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings toward the middle of the house touched one another.

അവൻ കെരൂബുകളെ അന്തരാലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ നിൎത്തി; കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകു വിടൎന്നിരുന്നു; ഒന്നിന്റെ ചിറകു ഒരു ചുവരോടും മറ്റേതിന്റെ ചിറകു മറ്റേ ചുവരോടും തൊട്ടിരുന്നു. ആലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ അവയുടെ ചിറകു ഒന്നോടൊന്നു തൊട്ടിരുന്നു.

28 And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.

കെരൂബുകളെയും അവൻ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

29 And on all the wall of the house round about he carved figures of cherubim and palm-trees and opening flowers, in the debir and in the temple.

അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരുകളിലെല്ലാം ചുറ്റും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടൎന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപം കൊത്തി ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

30 And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold for the debir and for the temple.

അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ തളവും അവൻ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

31 And for the entrance of the debir he made doors of oleaster-wood: the lintel with the side-posts forming five sides.

അവൻ അന്തൎമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കതകു ഉണ്ടാക്കി; കുറമ്പടിയും കട്ടളക്കാലും ചുവരിന്റെ അഞ്ചിൽ ഒരു അംശമായിരുന്നു.

32 And also upon the two doors of oleaster-wood he carved figures of cherubim and palm-trees and opening flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread the gold, by beating, upon the cherubim, and upon the palm-trees.

ഒലിവ് മരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കതകു രണ്ടിലും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടൎന്നപുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങൾ കൊത്തി പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; കെരൂബുകളിലും ഈന്തപ്പനകളിലും പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു

33 So also made he for the entrance of the temple door-posts of oleaster-wood in shape of a square;

അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അവൻ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നും ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കട്ടള ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതു ചുവരിന്റെ നാലിൽ ഒരംശമായിരുന്നു.

34 And two doors of fir-wood: the one door having two leaves which were folding, and the other door having two leaves which were folding.

അതിന്റെ കതകു രണ്ടും സരളമരംകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടക്കുപാളിയും മറ്റെ കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടക്കുപാളിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

35 And he carved thereon cherubim, and palm-trees and opening flowers: and he overlaid them with gold fitting upon the carved work.

അവൻ അവയിൽ കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടൎന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങളെ കൊത്തി രൂപങ്ങളുടെമേൽ പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

36 And he built the inner court of three rows of hewn stone, and one row of cedar beams.

അവൻ അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരം ചെത്തിയ കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു മൂന്നു വരിയും ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു വരിയുമായിട്ടു പണിതു.

37 In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the Lord laid, in the month Ziv;

നാലാം ആണ്ടു സീവ് മാസത്തിൽ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടുകയും

38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all its parts, and according to all its requirements. So was he building it seven years.

പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടു എട്ടാം മാസമായ ബൂൽമാസത്തിൽ ആലയം അതിന്റെ സകലഭാഗങ്ങളുമായി അതിന്റെ മാതൃകപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും പണിതുതീൎക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ഏഴാണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു അതു പണിതുതീൎത്തു.
