1 Kings 4
1 Thus was king Solomon king over all Israel.
Astfel împăratul Solomon era împărat peste tot Israelul.
2 And these were the princes whom he had: 'Azaryahu the son of Zadok the priest;
Şi aceştia erau prinţii pe care îi avea: Azaria, fiul preotului Ţadoc,
3 Elichoreph and Achiyah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Achilud, the recorder;
Elihoref şi Ahia, fiii lui Şişa, scribi; Iosafat, fiul lui Ahilud, cronicarul.
4 And Benayahu the son of Yehoyada' over the army; and Zadok and Ebyathar priests;
Şi Benaia, fiul lui Iehoiada, era peste oştire; şi Ţadoc şi Abiatar erau preoţii;
5 And Azaryahu the son of Nathan was over the superintendents; and Zabud the son of Nathan was an officer of state and the king's friend;
Şi Azaria, fiul lui Natan, era peste ofiţeri; şi Zabud, fiul lui Natan, era întâiul dintre ofiţeri şi prieten al împăratului;
6 And Achishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of 'Abda was over the tribute.
Şi Ahişar era peste gospodărie; şi Adoniram, fiul lui Abda, era peste taxă.
7 And Solomon had twelve superintendents over all Israel, who provided for the king and his household: one month in the year had the particular one to procure provisions.
Şi Solomon avea doisprezece ofiţeri peste tot Israelul, care se îngrijau de merindele împăratului şi ale casei sale; fiecare făcea provizii o lună pe an.
8 And these are their names: Ben-chur on the mountain of Ephraim;
Şi acestea sunt numele lor: Fiul lui Hur, în muntele lui Efraim;
9 Ben-deker, in Makaz, and in Sha'albim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-chanan;
Fiul lui Decher, în Macaţ şi în Şaalbim şi în Bet-Şemeş şi în Elon-Bet-Hanan;
10 Ben-chessed, in Arubboth; to him pertained Sochoh and all the land of Chepher;
Fiul lui Hesed, în Arubot; lui îi aparţinea Soco şi toată ţara Hefer;
11 Ben-abinadab, in all the district of Dor; he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
Fiul lui Abinadab, în toată regiunea Dorului; care avea pe Tafat, fiica lui Solomon, de soţie;
12 Ba'ana the son of Achilud in Tha'anach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zarethanah beneath Yizre'el, from Beth-shean to Abel-mecholah, as far as beyond Yokme'am;
Baana, fiul lui Ahilud, lui îi aparţinea Taanac şi Meghido şi tot Bet-Şeanul, care este lângă Ţartan sub Izreel, de la Bet-Şean până la Abel-Mehola, până dincolo de Iocmeam;
13 Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gil'ad; to him pertained the villages of Ya'ir the son of Menasseh, which are in Gil'ad; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brazen bars;
Fiul lui Gheber, în Ramot-Galaad; lui îi aparţineau oraşele lui Iair, fiul lui Manase, care sunt în Galaad; lui de asemenea îi aparţinea regiunea Argob, care este în Basan, şaizeci de cetăţi mari cu ziduri şi zăvoare de aramă;
14 Achinadab the son of 'Iddo in Machanayim;
Ahinadab, fiul lui Ido, avea Mahanaim;
15 Achima'az in Naphtali; he also took Bahsemath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
Ahimaaţ era în Neftali; el de asemenea a luat pe Basmat, fiica lui Solomon, de soţie;
16 Ba'anah the son of Chushai in Asher and in Be'aloth;
Baana, fiul lui Huşai, era în Aşer şi în Bealot;
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruach, in Issachar;
Iosafat, fiul lui Paruah, în Isahar;
18 Shim'i the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
Şimei, fiul lui Ela, în Beniamin;
19 Geber the son of Uri in the country of Gil'ad, the country of Sichon the king of the Emorites, and of 'Og the king of Bashan; besides the one superintendent who was in the land.
Gheber, fiul lui Uri, era în ţara Galaad, în ţara lui Sihon, împăratul amoriţilor, şi a lui Og, împăratul Basanului, şi el era singurul ofiţer în ţară.
20 Judah and Israel were numerous, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude; and they ate and drank, and made merry.
Iuda şi Israel erau mulţi, ca nisipul care este lângă mare ca mulţime, mâncând şi bând şi bucurându-se.
21 And Solomon was ruling over all the kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and as far as the boundary of Egypt, which brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
Şi Solomon a domnit peste toate împărăţiile de la râu până la ţara filistenilor şi până la graniţa Egiptului; ei au adus daruri şi i-au servit lui Solomon în toate zilele vieţii sale.
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour, and sixty kors of meal,
Şi proviziile lui Solomon pentru o zi erau treizeci de măsuri de floarea făinii şi şaizeci de măsuri de făină,
23 Ten fatted oxen, and twenty pasture oxen, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and roebucks, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.
Zece boi graşi şi douăzeci de boi de pe păşuni şi o sută de oi, în afară de cerbi şi de căprioare şi de ciute şi de păsări îngrăşate.
24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Thiphsach even to Gazzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
Pentru că el avea stăpânire peste toată regiunea de această parte a râului: de la Tifsah chiar până la Gaza, peste toţi împăraţii de această parte a râului; şi avea pace în fiecare parte de jur împrejurul lui.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt in safety, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba', all the days of Solomon.
Şi Iuda şi Israel au locuit în siguranţă, fiecare sub via sa şi sub smochinul său, de la Dan până la Beer-Şeba, în toate zilele lui Solomon.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls for the horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
Şi Solomon avea patruzeci de mii de iesle de cai pentru carele sale şi douăsprezece mii de călăreţi.
27 And those superintendents provided for king Solomon, and for all that came near unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they let nothing be wanting.
Şi acei ofiţeri se îngrijeau de merinde pentru împăratul Solomon şi pentru toţi cei care veneau la masa împăratului Solomon, fiecare în luna sa; nu le lipsea nimic.
28 The barley also and the straw for the horses and the runners did they bring unto the place where he might be, every man according to his prescription.
Orz de asemenea şi paie pentru cai şi dromaderi le aduceau la locul unde erau ofiţerii, fiecare conform poruncii lui.
29 And God gave unto Solomon wisdom and understanding exceedingly much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.
Şi Dumnezeu i-a dat lui Solomon înţelepciune şi foarte multă înţelegere şi o inimă largă, ca nisipul care este pe ţărmul mării.
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
Şi înţelepciunea lui Solomon a întrecut înţelepciunea tuturor copiilor ţării din est şi toată înţelepciunea Egiptului.
31 And he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrachite, and Heman, and Kalkol, and Darda', the sons of Machol: and his name was [spread] among all the nations round about.
Pentru că el era mai înţelept decât toţi oamenii; decât Etan ezrahitul şi Heman şi Calcol şi Darda, fiii lui Mahol; şi faima lui era în toate naţiunile de jur împrejur.
32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.
Şi a rostit trei mii de proverbe; şi cântările lui au fost o mie cinci.
33 And he spoke concerning the trees, from the cedar-tree that is on the Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall; he spoke also concerning the beasts, and concerning the fowl, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes.
Şi a vorbit despre copaci, de la cedrul care este în Liban chiar până la isopul care răsare din zid; a vorbit de asemenea despre animale şi despre păsări şi despre târâtoare şi despre peşti.
34 And men came from all the people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
Şi au venit dintre toate popoarele să audă înţelepciunea lui Solomon, de la toţi împăraţii pământului, care auziseră de înţelepciunea lui.
