1 Kings 4
1 Thus was king Solomon king over all Israel.
| سلیمان پادشاه بر تمام اسرائیل حکومت می‌کرد |
2 And these were the princes whom he had: 'Azaryahu the son of Zadok the priest;
| و مقامات دربار او عبارت بودند از: عزریا (پسر صادوق)، رئیس کاهنان؛ الیحورف و اخیا (پسران شیشه)، کاتب؛ یهوشافاط (پسر اخیلود)، وقایع‌نگار؛ بنایا (پسر یهویاداع)، فرماندهٔ سپاه؛ صادوق و اَبیّاتار، کاهن؛ عزریا (پسر ناتان)، سرپرست حاکمان؛ زابود (پسر ناتان)، کاهن و مشاور پادشاه؛ اخیشار، سرپرست امور دربار؛ ادونیرام (پسر عبدا) سرپرست کارهای اجباری. |
3 Elichoreph and Achiyah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Achilud, the recorder;
4 And Benayahu the son of Yehoyada' over the army; and Zadok and Ebyathar priests;
5 And Azaryahu the son of Nathan was over the superintendents; and Zabud the son of Nathan was an officer of state and the king's friend;
6 And Achishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of 'Abda was over the tribute.
7 And Solomon had twelve superintendents over all Israel, who provided for the king and his household: one month in the year had the particular one to procure provisions.
| سلیمان در تمام اسرائیل دوازده حاکم گماشته بود و آنها وظیفه داشتند خوراک دربار را تهیه کنند. هر یک از ایشان، یک ماه در سال مسئول تدارکات دربار بودند. |
8 And these are their names: Ben-chur on the mountain of Ephraim;
| این است اسامی دوازده حاکم و حوزه‌های فعالیت آنها: بن هور، در کوهستان افرایم؛ بن دقر، در ماقص، شعلبیم، بیت‌شمس، ایلون و بیت حانان؛ بن حسد، در اربوت، سوکوه و تمامی قلمرو حافر؛ بن ابیناداب، (که با تافَت دختر سلیمان ازدواج کرده بود) در تمام منطقهٔ دُر؛ بعنا (پسر اخیلود)، در تعنک، مجدو، تمام سرزمین نزدیک بیت‌شان و صرتان، جنوب شهر یزرعیل، و تا شهر آبل مهوله و شهر یقمعام؛ بن جابر، در راموت جلعاد که شامل دهکده‌های یاعیر (پسر منسی) در جلعاد و ناحیه ارجوب در باشان می‌شد با شصت شهر حصاردار دیگر که دروازه‌هایشان پشت‌بندهای مفرغین داشت؛ اخیناداب (پسر عدو)، در محنایم؛ اخیمعص (که با باسمت دختر دیگر سلیمان ازدواج کرده بود)، در نفتالی؛ بعنا (پسر حوشای)، در اشیر و بعلوت؛ یهوشافاط (پسر فاروح)، در سرزمین یساکار؛ شمعی (پسر ایلا)، در سرزمین بنیامین؛ جابر (پسر اوری)، در جلعاد که شامل سرزمینهای سیحون، پادشاه اموری‌ها و عوج، پادشاه باشان می‌شد. این دوازده حاکم زیر نظر حاکم کل قرار داشتند. |
9 Ben-deker, in Makaz, and in Sha'albim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-chanan;
10 Ben-chessed, in Arubboth; to him pertained Sochoh and all the land of Chepher;
11 Ben-abinadab, in all the district of Dor; he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
12 Ba'ana the son of Achilud in Tha'anach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zarethanah beneath Yizre'el, from Beth-shean to Abel-mecholah, as far as beyond Yokme'am;
13 Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gil'ad; to him pertained the villages of Ya'ir the son of Menasseh, which are in Gil'ad; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brazen bars;
14 Achinadab the son of 'Iddo in Machanayim;
15 Achima'az in Naphtali; he also took Bahsemath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
16 Ba'anah the son of Chushai in Asher and in Be'aloth;
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruach, in Issachar;
18 Shim'i the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
19 Geber the son of Uri in the country of Gil'ad, the country of Sichon the king of the Emorites, and of 'Og the king of Bashan; besides the one superintendent who was in the land.
20 Judah and Israel were numerous, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude; and they ate and drank, and made merry.
| در آن زمان اسرائیل و یهودا مانند شنهای کنار دریا بی‌شمار بودند. آنها از زندگی مرفه و شادی برخوردار بودند. |
21 And Solomon was ruling over all the kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and as far as the boundary of Egypt, which brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
| سلیمان بر تمام سرزمینهای واقع در بین رود فرات و فلسطین که تا سرحد مصر نیز می‌رسیدند سلطنت می‌کرد. اقوام این سرزمینها به او باج و خراج می‌دادند و در تمام مدت عمرش تابع او بودند. |
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour, and sixty kors of meal,
| آذوقهٔ روزانهٔ دربار عبارت بود از: حدود پنج تن آرد و ده تن بلغور، |
23 Ten fatted oxen, and twenty pasture oxen, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and roebucks, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.
| ده گاو از طویله، بیست گاو از چراگاه، صد گوسفند و نیز غزال، آهو، گوزن و انواع مرغان. |
24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Thiphsach even to Gazzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
| قلمرو سلطنت سلیمان از تفصح تا غزه می‌رسید و تمام ممالک غرب رود فرات را در بر می‌گرفت. تمام پادشاهان غرب رود فرات تابع او بودند و او با سرزمینهای همسایه در صلح بود. |
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt in safety, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba', all the days of Solomon.
| مردم یهودا و اسرائیل در طول سلطنت سلیمان در کمال آرامش بودند و هر خانواده، از دان تا بئرشبع، زیر درختان مو و انجیر خود آسوده می‌نشستند. |
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls for the horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
| سلیمان دوازده هزار اسب و چهار هزار اصطبل برای اسبان ارابه‌های خود داشت. |
27 And those superintendents provided for king Solomon, and for all that came near unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they let nothing be wanting.
| حاکمان، هر یک در ماه تعیین شده، خوراک سلیمان و مهمانان او را بدون کم و کسر تهیه می‌کردند. |
28 The barley also and the straw for the horses and the runners did they bring unto the place where he might be, every man according to his prescription.
| در ضمن هر یک به سهم خود برای اسبان ارابه و سایر اسبان کاه و جو فراهم می‌ساختند. |
29 And God gave unto Solomon wisdom and understanding exceedingly much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.
| خدا به سلیمان فهم و حکمت بی‌نظیری بخشید و بصیرت او مانند شنهای کنار دریا بی‌حد و حصر بود. |
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
| حکمت سلیمان از حکمت دانشمندان مشرق‌زمین و علمای مصر هم زیادتر بود. |
31 And he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrachite, and Heman, and Kalkol, and Darda', the sons of Machol: and his name was [spread] among all the nations round about.
| او حتی از حکمای معروفی چون ایتان ازراحی و پسران ماحول یعنی حیمان و کلکول و دَردَع حکیمتر بود. سلیمان در میان تمام ممالک دنیای زمان خود معروف شد. |
32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.
| سه هزار مثل گفت و هزار و پنج سرود نوشت. |
33 And he spoke concerning the trees, from the cedar-tree that is on the Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall; he spoke also concerning the beasts, and concerning the fowl, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes.
| سلیمان دربارهٔ حیوانات و پرندگان و خزندگان و ماهیان اطلاع کافی داشت، او همچنین تمام گیاهان را از درختان سرو لبنان گرفته تا بوته‌های کوچک زوفا که در شکاف دیوارها می‌رویند، می‌شناخت و دربارهٔ آنها سخن می‌گفت. |
34 And men came from all the people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
| پادشاهان سراسر جهان که آوازهٔ حکمت او را شنیده بودند نمایندگانی به دربار او می‌فرستادند تا از حکمتش برخوردار شوند. |
