1 Kings 4
1 Thus was king Solomon king over all Israel.
A tak král Šalomoun byl králem nade vším Izraelem.
2 And these were the princes whom he had: 'Azaryahu the son of Zadok the priest;
Tato pak byla knížata jeho: Azariáš syn Sádochův knížetem,
3 Elichoreph and Achiyah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Achilud, the recorder;
Elichoref a Achiáš synové Sísovi byli písaři, Jozafat syn Achiludův kancléřem,
4 And Benayahu the son of Yehoyada' over the army; and Zadok and Ebyathar priests;
A Banaiáš syn Joiadův nad vojskem, Sádoch pak a Abiatar kněžími,
5 And Azaryahu the son of Nathan was over the superintendents; and Zabud the son of Nathan was an officer of state and the king's friend;
A Azariáš syn Nátanův nad úředníky, a Zábud syn Nátanův nejvyšší rada královská,
6 And Achishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of 'Abda was over the tribute.
A Achisar vládař domu, Adoniram pak syn Abdy nad vybraným lidem.
7 And Solomon had twelve superintendents over all Israel, who provided for the king and his household: one month in the year had the particular one to procure provisions.
Měl také Šalomoun dvanácte vládařů nade vším Izraelem, kteříž opatrovali potravou krále i dům jeho. Každého roku za měsíc jeden každý měl opatrovati krále.
8 And these are their names: Ben-chur on the mountain of Ephraim;
A tato jsou jména jejich: Syn Chur na hoře Efraim;
9 Ben-deker, in Makaz, and in Sha'albim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-chanan;
Syn Deker v Makaz a v Salbim, a v Betsemes a v Elon Betchanan;
10 Ben-chessed, in Arubboth; to him pertained Sochoh and all the land of Chepher;
Syn Chesed v Arubot, jehož bylo Socho i všecka země Chefer;
11 Ben-abinadab, in all the district of Dor; he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
Syn Abinadabův, jehož byly všecky končiny Dor, a měl Tafat dceru Šalomounovu za manželku;
12 Ba'ana the son of Achilud in Tha'anach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zarethanah beneath Yizre'el, from Beth-shean to Abel-mecholah, as far as beyond Yokme'am;
Baana syn Achiludův, jehož byl Tanach a Mageddo, i všecken Betsan, kterýž jest vedlé Sartan pod Jezreelem, od Betsan až do Abelmehula a až za Jekmaam;
13 Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gil'ad; to him pertained the villages of Ya'ir the son of Menasseh, which are in Gil'ad; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brazen bars;
Syn Geber v Rámot Galád, jehož byly vsi Jair, syna Manassesova, kteréž jsou v Galád, jehož byla krajina Argob, kteráž jest v Bázan, šedesáte měst velikých hrazených a závřitých;
14 Achinadab the son of 'Iddo in Machanayim;
Achinadab syn Iddo v Mahanaim;
15 Achima'az in Naphtali; he also took Bahsemath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
Achimaas v Neftalím, on také pojal Basemat dceru Šalomounovu za manželku;
16 Ba'anah the son of Chushai in Asher and in Be'aloth;
Baana syn Chusai v Asser a v Alot;
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruach, in Issachar;
Jozafat syn Paruach v Izachar;
18 Shim'i the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
Semei syn Ela v Beniamin;
19 Geber the son of Uri in the country of Gil'ad, the country of Sichon the king of the Emorites, and of 'Og the king of Bashan; besides the one superintendent who was in the land.
Geber syn Uri v zemi Galád, v zemi Seona, krále Amorejského, a Oga krále Bázan; ten sám vládařem jedním představen byl té zemi.
20 Judah and Israel were numerous, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude; and they ate and drank, and made merry.
Tehdáž Juda a Izrael rozmnoženi jsouce jako písek při moři v množství, jedli a pili, a veselili se.
21 And Solomon was ruling over all the kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and as far as the boundary of Egypt, which brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
Nebo Šalomoun panoval nade všemi královstvími od řeky až k zemi Filistinské, a až k končinám Egyptským. I přinášeli dary a sloužili Šalomounovi po všecky dny života jeho.
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour, and sixty kors of meal,
Vycházelo pak ku potravě Šalomounovi na každý den třidceti měr běli, a šedesáte měr mouky obecné,
23 Ten fatted oxen, and twenty pasture oxen, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and roebucks, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.
Deset volů krmných a dvadceti volů pastevných, a sto ovec, kromě jelenů, srn, bůvolů a ptactva vykrmeného.
24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Thiphsach even to Gazzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
On zajisté panoval všudy s této strany řeky od Tipsach až do Gázy nade všemi králi, kteříž byli před řekou, a měl pokoj se všech stran vůkol.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt in safety, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba', all the days of Solomon.
I bydlil Juda a Izrael bezpečně, jeden každý pod svým vinným kmenem a pod svým fíkem, od Dan až do Bersabé, po všecky dny Šalomounovy.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls for the horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
Měl také Šalomoun čtyřidceti tisíc koní na stání k vozům svým, a dvanácte tisíc jízdných.
27 And those superintendents provided for king Solomon, and for all that came near unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they let nothing be wanting.
A tak opatrovali ti úředníci krále Šalomouna i všecky, kteříž přicházeli k stolu krále Šalomouna, jeden každý za měsíc svůj, nedopouštějíce, aby v čem nedostatek býti měl.
28 The barley also and the straw for the horses and the runners did they bring unto the place where he might be, every man according to his prescription.
Ječmene také a slámy pro koně a pro mezky dodávali k tomu místu, kdež byl král, jeden každý, jakž mu uloženo bylo.
29 And God gave unto Solomon wisdom and understanding exceedingly much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.
Nadto dal Bůh moudrost Šalomounovi a prozřetelnost velikou náramně, a širokost mysli, jako jest písku na břehu mořském.
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
Nebo větší byla moudrost Šalomounova, než moudrost všech národů východních, a než všeliká moudrost Egyptských.
31 And he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrachite, and Heman, and Kalkol, and Darda', the sons of Machol: and his name was [spread] among all the nations round about.
Nýbrž moudřejší byl nad všecky lidi, až i nad Etana Ezrachitského, též nad Hémana, a Kalkole i Darda, syny Máchol, a rozneslo se jméno jeho po všech národech vůkol.
32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.
Složil také tři tisíce přísloví, a písniček jeho bylo tisíc a pět.
33 And he spoke concerning the trees, from the cedar-tree that is on the Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall; he spoke also concerning the beasts, and concerning the fowl, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes.
Vypsal též i o stromích, počna od cedru, kterýž jest na Libánu, až do mchu, kterýž roste na zdi; psal i o hovadech a o ptácích, a zeměplazích a o rybách.
34 And men came from all the people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
Protož přicházeli ze všech národů poslouchati moudrosti Šalomounovy, i ode všech králů země, kteříž slyšeli o moudrosti jeho.
