1 Kings 4
1 Thus was king Solomon king over all Israel.
Kralj Salomon bio je kralj nad svim Izraelom,
2 And these were the princes whom he had: 'Azaryahu the son of Zadok the priest;
a evo njegovih odličnika: Azarja, sin Sadokov, svećenik;
3 Elichoreph and Achiyah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Achilud, the recorder;
Elihoref i Ahija, sinovi Šišini, bilježnici; Jošafat, sin Ahiludov, savjetnik;
4 And Benayahu the son of Yehoyada' over the army; and Zadok and Ebyathar priests;
Benaja, sin Jojadin, vojskovođa; Sadok i Ebjatar, svećenici.
5 And Azaryahu the son of Nathan was over the superintendents; and Zabud the son of Nathan was an officer of state and the king's friend;
Azarja, sin Natanov, bio je nad namjesnicima; Zabud, sin Natanov, prijatelj kraljev;
6 And Achishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of 'Abda was over the tribute.
Ahišar, upravitelj dvora; Eliab, sin Joabov, zapovjednik vojske; Adoram, sin Abdin, nadstojnik za tlaku.
7 And Solomon had twelve superintendents over all Israel, who provided for the king and his household: one month in the year had the particular one to procure provisions.
Salomon je imao po svem Izraelu dvanaest namjesnika koji su opskrbljivali kralja i njegov dom; za svakoga je dolazio red da po jedan mjesec u godini podmiruje to uzdržavanje.
8 And these are their names: Ben-chur on the mountain of Ephraim;
Evo njihovih imena: ...sin Hurov, u gori Efrajimovoj;
9 Ben-deker, in Makaz, and in Sha'albim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-chanan;
...sin Dekerov, u Makasu, Šaalbimu, Bet Šemešu, Elonu do Bet Hanana;
10 Ben-chessed, in Arubboth; to him pertained Sochoh and all the land of Chepher;
...sin Hesedov, u Arubotu; pod njim bijaše Soho i sav kraj heferski;
11 Ben-abinadab, in all the district of Dor; he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
...sin Abinadabov, nad svim okružjem dorskim; žena mu je bila Tafata, kći Salomonova;
12 Ba'ana the son of Achilud in Tha'anach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zarethanah beneath Yizre'el, from Beth-shean to Abel-mecholah, as far as beyond Yokme'am;
Baana, sin Ahiludov, u Tanaku i Megidu i u svem Bet Šeanu, koji je pokraj Saretana niže Jizreela, od Bet Šeana do Abel Mekole, i preko Jokmeama.
13 Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gil'ad; to him pertained the villages of Ya'ir the son of Menasseh, which are in Gil'ad; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brazen bars;
...sin Geberov, u Ramotu Gileadskom; njegova su bila Sela Jaira, sina Manašeova, koja su u Gileadu; imao je i područje Argob koje leži u Bašanu, šezdeset tvrdih gradova, opasanih zidovima i prijevornicama od tuča;
14 Achinadab the son of 'Iddo in Machanayim;
Ahinabad, sin Idov, u Mahanajimu;
15 Achima'az in Naphtali; he also took Bahsemath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
Ahimaas u Naftaliju; i on se oženio jednom Salomonovom kćeri - Bosmatom.
16 Ba'anah the son of Chushai in Asher and in Be'aloth;
Baana, sin Hušajev, u Ašeru i na visoravnima;
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruach, in Issachar;
Jošafat, sin Paruahov, u Jisakaru;
18 Shim'i the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
Šimej, sin Elin, u Benjaminu;
19 Geber the son of Uri in the country of Gil'ad, the country of Sichon the king of the Emorites, and of 'Og the king of Bashan; besides the one superintendent who was in the land.
Geber, sin Urijin, u zemlji Gileadu, zemlji Sihona, kralja amorejskoga, i Oga, kralja bašanskoga. Povrh toga bio je još jedan namjesnik u zemlji.
20 Judah and Israel were numerous, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude; and they ate and drank, and made merry.
Juda i Izrael bili su mnogobrojni, bijaše ih kao pijeska na obali morskoj. Jeli su i pili i bili sretni.
21 And Solomon was ruling over all the kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and as far as the boundary of Egypt, which brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
Salomon je proširio svoju vlast nad svim kraljevstvima od Rijeke sve do zemlje filistejske i do međe egipatske. Ona su donosila svoj danak i služila Salomonu sve dane njegova života.
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour, and sixty kors of meal,
Svakoga je dana trebalo Salomonu za hranu: trideset kora finoga brašna i šezdeset kora običnog brašna,
23 Ten fatted oxen, and twenty pasture oxen, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and roebucks, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.
deset ugojenih volova, dvadeset volova s paše, stotinu ovaca, osim jelena, srna, divokoza i ugojene peradi.
24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Thiphsach even to Gazzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
Jer on je vladao nad svime onkraj Rijeke - od Tafse do Gaze, nad svim kraljevima s onu stranu Eufrata - i imao je mir po svim granicama naokolo.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt in safety, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba', all the days of Solomon.
Juda i sav Izrael živjeli su bez straha, svaki pod svojom lozom i pod svojom smokvom, od Dana sve do Beer Šebe, svega vijeka Salomonova.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls for the horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
Salomon je imao četrdeset tisuća konja za vuču i dvanaest tisuća za jahanje.
27 And those superintendents provided for king Solomon, and for all that came near unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they let nothing be wanting.
Ti su se namjesnici brinuli o opskrbi kralja Salomona i sviju koji su imali dijela za kraljevim stolom, svaki po mjesec dana; i nisu dopuštali da ičega ponestane.
28 The barley also and the straw for the horses and the runners did they bring unto the place where he might be, every man according to his prescription.
I ječam i slamu za konje i tegleću marvu donosili su na mjesto gdje se zadržavao, svaki kako bi ga zapalo.
29 And God gave unto Solomon wisdom and understanding exceedingly much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.
Jahve je dao Salomonu mudrost i izuzetnu razboritost i srce široko kao pijesak na obali morskoj.
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
Mudrost je Salomonova bila veća od mudrosti svih sinova Istoka i od sve mudrosti Egipta.
31 And he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrachite, and Heman, and Kalkol, and Darda', the sons of Machol: and his name was [spread] among all the nations round about.
Bio je mudriji od svih ljudi, od Etana Ezrahanina, od Hemana, Kalkola i Darde, sinova Maholovih; njegovo se ime pronosilo među svim narodima unaokolo.
32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.
Izrekao je tri tisuće mudrih izreka, a njegovih je pjesama bilo tisuću i pet.
33 And he spoke concerning the trees, from the cedar-tree that is on the Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall; he spoke also concerning the beasts, and concerning the fowl, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes.
Zborio je o drveću: od cedra što je na Libanonu pa do izopa što klija na zidu; raspravljao je o životinjama, o pticama, o gmazovima i o ribama.
34 And men came from all the people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
Dolazili su od sviju naroda da čuju mudrost Salomonovu, od svih zemaljskih kraljeva koji su čuli glas o njegovoj mudrosti.
