1 Kings 4
1 Thus was king Solomon king over all Israel.

2 And these were the princes whom he had: 'Azaryahu the son of Zadok the priest;

3 Elichoreph and Achiyah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Achilud, the recorder;

4 And Benayahu the son of Yehoyada' over the army; and Zadok and Ebyathar priests;

5 And Azaryahu the son of Nathan was over the superintendents; and Zabud the son of Nathan was an officer of state and the king's friend;
Azariya mwana wa Natani, anali woyangʼanira nduna za mʼzigawo; Zabudi mwana wa Natani, anali wansembe ndi bwenzi la mfumu;
6 And Achishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of 'Abda was over the tribute.
Ahisara, anali mkulu woyangʼanira nyumba ya mfumu; Adoniramu mwana wa Abida, anali mkulu woyangʼanira ntchito za thangata.
7 And Solomon had twelve superintendents over all Israel, who provided for the king and his household: one month in the year had the particular one to procure provisions.
Solomoni analinso ndi abwanamkubwa khumi ndi awiri amene ankayangʼanira zigawo zonse za dziko la Israeli. Iwo ankapereka chakudya kwa mfumu ndiponso ku banja laufumu. Bwanamkubwa aliyense ankapereka chakudya mwezi umodzi pa chaka.
8 And these are their names: Ben-chur on the mountain of Ephraim;
Mayina awo ndi awa: Beni-Huri, wa ku dziko la mapiri la Efereimu;
9 Ben-deker, in Makaz, and in Sha'albim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-chanan;
Beni-Dekeri, woyangʼanira mizinda ya Makazi, Saalibimu, Beti-Semesi ndi Eloni Beti-Hanani;
10 Ben-chessed, in Arubboth; to him pertained Sochoh and all the land of Chepher;
Beni-Hesedi, woyangʼanira mizinda ya Aruboti (Soko ndi dziko lonse la Heferi);
11 Ben-abinadab, in all the district of Dor; he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
Beni-Abinadabu, woyangʼanira Nafoti Dori (iye anakwatira Tafati mwana wa Solomoni);
12 Ba'ana the son of Achilud in Tha'anach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zarethanah beneath Yizre'el, from Beth-shean to Abel-mecholah, as far as beyond Yokme'am;
Baana mwana wa Ahiludi, anali woyangʼanira Taanaki ndi Megido, ndi ku Beti Sani konse, kufupi ndi ku Zaretani kumunsi kwa Yezireeli, kuyambira ku Beti-Seani mpaka ku Abeli-Mehola kukafika mpaka ku Yokineamu;
13 Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gil'ad; to him pertained the villages of Ya'ir the son of Menasseh, which are in Gil'ad; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brazen bars;
Beni-Geberi, anali woyangʼanira Ramoti Giliyadi (midzi ya Yairi inali ya mwana wa Manase ku Giliyadi, pamodzinso ndi chigawo cha Arigobu ku Basani ndiponso mizinda yake yayikulu makumi asanu ndi umodzi yokhala ndi malinga ndi mipiringidzo yamkuwa).
14 Achinadab the son of 'Iddo in Machanayim;
Ahinadabu mwana wa Ido, anali woyangʼanira Mahanaimu;
15 Achima'az in Naphtali; he also took Bahsemath the daughter of Solomon for wife;
Ahimaazi anali woyangʼanira Nafutali (iyeyu anakwatira Basemati mwana wa Solomoni);
16 Ba'anah the son of Chushai in Asher and in Be'aloth;
Baana mwana wa Husai, anali woyangʼanira Aseri ndi Bealoti;
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruach, in Issachar;
Yehosafati mwana wa Paruwa, anali woyangʼanira Isakara;
18 Shim'i the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
Simei mwana wa Ela, anali woyangʼanira Benjamini;
19 Geber the son of Uri in the country of Gil'ad, the country of Sichon the king of the Emorites, and of 'Og the king of Bashan; besides the one superintendent who was in the land.
Geberi mwana wa Uri, anali woyangʼanira Giliyadi (dziko la Sihoni mfumu ya Aamori ndi dziko la Ogi mfumu ya Basani). Iye ankayangʼanira chigawo chonsechi yekha.
20 Judah and Israel were numerous, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude; and they ate and drank, and made merry.
Anthu a ku Yuda ndi ku Israeli anali ochuluka ngati mchenga wa mʼmbali mwa nyanja. Ankadya ndi kumwa ndipo ankasangalala.
21 And Solomon was ruling over all the kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and as far as the boundary of Egypt, which brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
Ndipo Solomoni analamulira mayiko onse kuyambira ku mtsinje wa Yufurate mpaka ku dziko la Afilisti, kukafika mpaka ku malire a dziko la Igupto. Mayikowa ankabweretsa mphatso ndipo anali pansi pa ulamuliro wa Solomoni moyo wake wonse.
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour, and sixty kors of meal,
Chakudya cha tsiku ndi tsiku cha Solomoni chinali madengu 150 a ufa wosalala ndi madengu 300 a mgayiwa,
23 Ten fatted oxen, and twenty pasture oxen, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and roebucks, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.
ngʼombe khumi zonenepa zodyetsera mʼkhola, ngʼombe za ku busa makumi awiri, ndiponso nkhosa ndi mbuzi 100, pamodzinso ndi mbawala, agwape, mphoyo ndi mbalame zoweta zonona.
24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Thiphsach even to Gazzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
Pakuti ankalamulira dziko lonse la kumadzulo kwa mtsinje wa Yufurate kuyambira ku Tifisa mpaka ku Gaza, mafumu onse a kumadzulo kwa Mtsinje, ndipo anali pa mtendere ndi mayiko onse ozungulira.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt in safety, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba', all the days of Solomon.
Pa nthawi ya Solomoni, Yuda ndi Israeli anali pa mtendere, kuyambira ku Dani mpaka ku Beeriseba. Munthu aliyense ankangodzikhalira pansi pa mpesa wake ndi mtengo wake wa mkuyu.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls for the horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
Solomoni anali ndi zipinda 4,000 zodyeramo akavalo okoka magaleta ake ndi anthu 12,000 oyendetsa magaleta.
27 And those superintendents provided for king Solomon, and for all that came near unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they let nothing be wanting.
Abwanamkubwa a zigawo aja, aliyense pa mwezi wake, ankapereka chakudya cha Mfumu Solomoni ndi cha anthu onse amene ankadya naye. Iwo ankaonetsetsa kuti pasasowe kalikonse.
28 The barley also and the straw for the horses and the runners did they bring unto the place where he might be, every man according to his prescription.
Ankabweretsanso ku malo ake ofunikira muyeso wawo wa barele ndi udzu wa akavalo okoka magaleta ndiponso akavalo ena.
29 And God gave unto Solomon wisdom and understanding exceedingly much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.
Mulungu anamupatsa Solomoni nzeru ndi luntha losaneneka ndipo nzeru zake zinali zochuluka ngati mchenga wa mʼmbali mwa nyanja.
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
Nzeru za Solomoni zinali zoposa nzeru za anthu onse a Kummawa ndiponso nzeru zonse za ku Igupto.
31 And he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrachite, and Heman, and Kalkol, and Darda', the sons of Machol: and his name was [spread] among all the nations round about.
Iye anali wanzeru kuposa munthu wina aliyense, kuposa ngakhale Etani wa banja la Ezara, Hemani, Kalikoli ndi Darida, ana a Maholi. Ndipo mbiri yake inamveka kwa mitundu yonse ya anthu ozungulira.
32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.
Solomoni anapeka miyambi 3,000 ndi kulemba nyimbo 1,005.
33 And he spoke concerning the trees, from the cedar-tree that is on the Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall; he spoke also concerning the beasts, and concerning the fowl, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes.
Iye ankaphunzitsa za mitengo, kuyambira mtengo wa mkungudza wa ku Lebanoni mpaka kachitsamba ka hisope khomera pa khoma. Iye ankaphunzitsanso za nyama ndi mbalame, zinthu zokwawa pansi ndiponso za nsomba.
34 And men came from all the people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
Anthu a mitundu yonse ankabwera kudzamva nzeru za Solomoni. Anthu amenewa ankatumizidwa ndi mafumu onse a dziko lapansi amene anamvapo za nzeru zakezo.
