1 Kings 11
1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, beside the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, 'Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites.
और सुलेमान बादशाह फ़िर'औन की बेटी के 'अलावा बहुत सी अजनबी 'औरतों से, या'नी मोआबी, 'अम्मोनी, अदोमी, सैदानी और हित्ती औरतों से मुहब्बत करने लगा;
2 From the nations concerning which the Lord had said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in among them, nor shall they come in among you; surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: unto these Solomon did cleave to love them.
यह उन क़ौमों की थीं जिनके बारे में ख़ुदावन्द ने बनी — इस्राईल से कहा था कि तुम उनके बीच न जाना, और न वह तुम्हारे बीच आएँ, क्यूँकि वह ज़रूर तुम्हारे दिलों को अपने मा'बूदों की तरफ़ माइल कर लेंगी “सुलेमान इन्हीं के 'इश्क़ का दम भरने लगा।
3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
और उसके पास सात सौ शाहज़ादियाँ उसकी बीवियाँ और तीन सौ बाँदी थीं, और उसकी बीवियों ने उसके दिल को फेर दिया।
4 And it came to pass, at the time that Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods; and his heart was not undivided with the Lord his God, like the heart of David his father.
क्यूँकि जब सुलेमान बुड्ढा हो गया, तो उसकी बीवियों ने उसके दिल को गै़र मा'बूदों की तरफ़ माइल कर लिया; और उसका दिल ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा के साथ कामिल न रहा, जैसा उसके बाप दाऊद का दिल था।
5 And Solomon went after 'Ashtoreth the divinity of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the 'Ammonites.
क्यूँकि सुलेमान सैदानियों की देवी इसतारात, और 'अम्मोनियों के नफ़रती मिलकोम की पैरवी करने लगा।
6 And Solomon did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, and went not fully after the Lord, like David his father.
और सुलेमान ने ख़ुदावन्द के आगे बदी की, और उसने ख़ुदावन्द की पूरी पैरवी न की जैसी उसके बाप दाऊद ने की थी।
7 Then did Solomon build a high-place for Kemosh, the abomination of Moab, on the mount that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of 'Ammon.
फिर सुलेमान ने मोआबियों के नफ़रती कमोस के लिए उस पहाड़ पर जो येरूशलेम के सामने है, और बनी 'अम्मोन के नफ़रती मोलक के लिए ऊँचा मक़ाम बना दिया।
8 And so did he for all his strange wives, who burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.
उसने ऐसा ही अपनी सब अजनबी बीवियों की ख़ातिर किया, जो अपने मा'बूदों के सामने ख़ुशबू जलाती और क़ुर्बानी पेश करती थीं।
9 And the Lord was angry with Solomon; because his heart was turned away from the Lord the God of Israel, who had appeared unto him twice;
और ख़ुदावन्द सुलेमान से नाराज़ हुआ, क्यूँकि उसका दिल ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल के ख़ुदा से फिर गया था जिसने उसे दो बार दिखाई देकर
10 And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he did not keep that which the Lord had commanded.
उसको इस बात का हुक्म किया था कि वह गै़र मा'बूदों की पैरवी न करे; लेकिन उसने वह बात न मानी जिसका हुक्म ख़ुदावन्द ने दिया था।
11 And the Lord said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is in thy mind, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I commanded concerning thee: I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
इस वजह से ख़ुदावन्द ने सुलेमान को कहा, चूँकि तुझ से यह काम हुआ, और तू ने मेरे 'अहद और मेरे क़ानून को जिनका मैंने तुझे हुक्म दिया नहीं माना, इसलिए मैं हुकूमत को ज़रूर तुझ से छीनकर तेरे ख़ादिम को दूँगा।
12 Nevertheless in thy days will I not do it, for the sake of David thy father; [but] out of the hand of thy son will I rend it.
तोभी तेरे बाप दाऊद की ख़ातिर मैं तेरे दिनों में यह नहीं करूँगा; बल्कि उसे तेरे बेटे के हाथ से छीनूँगा।
13 Still all the kingdom will I not rend away: one tribe will I give to thy son on account of David my servant, and on account of Jerusalem which I have chosen.
फिर भी मैं सारी हुकूमत को नहीं छीनूँगा, बल्कि अपने बन्दे दाऊद की ख़ातिर और येरूशलेम की ख़ातिर, जिसे मैंने चुन लिया है, एक क़बीला तेरे बेटे को दूँगा।
14 And the Lord stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king's seed in Edom.
तब ख़ुदावन्द ने अदोमी हदद को सुलेमान का मुख़ालिफ़ बना कर खड़ा किया, यह अदोम की शाही नसल से था।
15 It came to pass, namely, when David was in Edom, when Joab the captain of the army was gone up to bury the slain, after he had smitten every male in Edom;
क्यूँकि जब दाऊद अदोम में था और लश्कर का सरदार योआब अदोम में हर एक आदमी को क़त्ल करके उन मक़्तूलों को दफ़्न करने गया,
16 (For six months did Joab remain there with all Israel, until he had cut off every male in Edom: )
क्यूँकि योआब और सब इस्राईल छ: महीने तक वहीं रहे, जब तक कि उसने अदोम में हर एक आदमी को क़त्ल न कर डाला।
17 That Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him, to go into Egypt; but Hadad was then yet a young lad.
तो हदद कई एक अदोमियों के साथ, जो उसके बाप के मुलाज़िम थे, मिस्र को जाने को भाग निकला, उस वक़्त हदद छोटा लड़का ही था।
18 And they arose from Midian, and came to Paran; and they took [some] men with them from Paran, and came to Egypt, unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt; who gave him a house, and decreed him a support, and gave him land.
और वह मिदियान से निकलकर फ़ारान में आए, और फ़ारान से लोग साथ लेकर शाह — ए — मिस्र फ़िर'औन के पास मिस्र में गए। उसने उसको एक घर दिया और उसके लिए ख़ुराक मुक़र्रर की और उसे जागीर दी।
19 And Hadad found great favor in the eyes of Pharaoh, so that he gave him for wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Thachpeness the queen.
और हदद की फ़िर'औन के सामने इतना रसूख हासिल हुआ कि उसने अपनी साली, या'नी मलिका तहफ़नीस की बहन उसी को ब्याह दी।
20 And the sister of Thachpeness bore him Genubath his son, whom Thachpeness brought up in Pharaoh's house; and Genubath remained in Pharaoh's house among the sons of Pharaoh.
और तहफ़नीस की बहन के उससे उसका बेटा जनूबत पैदा हुआ जिसका दूध तहफ़नीस ने फ़िर'औन के महल में छुड़ाया; और जनूबत फ़िर'औन के बेटों के साथ फिर'औन के महल में रहा।
21 And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the army was dead: Hadad said to Pharaoh, Dismiss me, that I may go to my own country.
इसलिए जब हदद ने मिस्र में सुना कि दाऊद अपने बाप — दादा के साथ सो गया और लश्कर का सरदार योआब भी मर गया है, तो हदद ने फ़िर'औन से कहा, मुझे रुख़्सत कर दे, ताकि मैं अपने मुल्क को चला जाऊँ।”
22 Then said Pharaoh unto him, But what dost thou lack with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thy own country? And he answered, Nothing: nevertheless thou must let me go away.
तब फ़िर'औन ने उससे कहा, “भला तुझे मेरे पास किस चीज़ की कमी हुई कि तू अपने मुल्क को जाने के लिए तैयार है?” उसने कहा, “कुछ नहीं, फिर भी तू मुझे जिस तरह हो रुख्स़त ही कर दे।”
23 And God stirred him up [another] adversary, Rezon the son of Elyada', who had fled from Hadad'ezer the king of Zobah his lord;
और ख़ुदा ने उसके लिए एक और मुख़ालिफ़ इलीयदा' के बेटे रज़ोन को खड़ा किया, जो अपने आक़ा ज़ोबाह के बादशाह हदद'एलियाज़र के पास से भाग गया था;
24 And he gathered around him some men, and became captain over a band, when David slew those [of Zobah]; and they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and reigned in Damascus.
और उसने अपने पास लोग जमा' कर लिए, और जब दाऊद ने ज़ोबाह वालों को क़त्ल किया, तो वह एक फ़ौज का सरदार हो गया; और वह दमिश्क़ को जाकर वहीं रहने और दमिश्क़ में हुकूमत करने लगे।
25 And he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, beside the mischief that Hadad did: and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.
इसलिए हदद की शरारत के 'अलावा यह भी सुलेमान की सारी उम्र इस्राईल का दुश्मन रहा; और उसने इस्राईल से नफ़रत रखी और अराम पर हुकूमत करता रहा।
26 Also Jerobo'am the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zeredah, the name of whose mother was Zeru'ah, a widow woman, was a servant of Solomon, and he lifted up his hand against the king.
और सरीदा के इफ़्राईमी नबात का बेटा यरूबोआम, जो सुलेमान का मुलाज़िम था और जिसकी माँ का नाम, जो बेवा थी, सरू'आ था; उसने भी बादशाह के ख़िलाफ़ अपना हाथ उठाया।
27 And this was the occasion that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built up the Millo, and closed up the breach of the city of David his father.
और बादशाह के ख़िलाफ़ उसके हाथ उठाने की यह वजह हुई कि बादशाह मिल्लो को बनाता था, और अपने बाप दाऊद के शहर के रखने की मरम्मत करता था।
28 And the man Jerobo'am was a mighty man of valor: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was [also] an industrious worker, he appointed him over all the charge of the house of Joseph.
और वह शख़्स यरूबोआम एक ताक़तवर सूर्मा था, और सुलेमान ने उस जवान को देखा कि मेहनती है, इसलिए उसने उसे बनी यूसुफ़ के सारे काम पर मुख़्तार बना दिया।
29 And it came to pass at that time when Jerobo'am went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Achiyah the Shilonite found him on the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and these two were alone by themselves in the field;
उस वक़्त जब युरब'आम येरूशलेम से निकल कर जा रहा था, तो सैलानी अखि़याह नबी उसे रास्ते में मिला, और अख़ियाह एक नई चादर ओढ़े हुए था; यह दोनों मैदान में अकेले थे।
30 And Achiyah caught hold of the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces;
इसलिए अखि़याह ने उस नई चादर को जो उस पर थी लेकर उसके बारह टुकड़े फाड़े।
31 And he said to Jerobo'am, Take thee ten pieces; for thus hath said the Lord, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and I will give to thee the ten tribes;
और उसने युरब'आम से कहा कि “तू अपने लिए दस टुकड़े ले ले; क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल का ख़ुदा ऐसा कहता है कि देख, मैं सुलेमान के हाथ से हुकूमत छीन लूँगा, और दस क़बीले तुझे दूँगा।
32 But the one tribe shall remain for him, on account of my servant David, and on account of Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel;
लेकिन मेरे बन्दे दाऊद की ख़ातिर और येरूशलेम या'नी उस शहर की ख़ातिर, जिसे मैंने बनी — इस्राईल के सब क़बीलों में से चुन लिया है, एक क़बीला उसके पास रहेगा
33 For the cause that they have forsaken me, and have bowed down to 'Ashtoreth the divinity of the Zidonians, to Kemosh the god of Moab, and to Milcom the god of the children of 'Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do what is right in my eyes, and my statutes and my ordinances, like David his father.
क्यूँकि उन्होंने मुझे छोड़ दिया और सैदानियों की देवी इस्तारात और मोआबियों के मा'बूद कमोस और बनी 'अमोन के मा'बूद मिलकोम की इबादत की है, और मेरे रास्तों पर न चले कि वह काम करते जो मेरी नज़र में भला था, और मेरे क़ानून और अहकाम को मानते जैसा उसके बाप दाऊद ने किया।
34 Nevertheless will I not take the whole kingdom out of his hand; but I will let him remain prince all the days of his life for the sake of David my servant, whom I chose, who kept my commandments and my statutes;
फिर भी मैं सारी मुल्क उसके हाथ से नहीं ले लूँगा, बल्कि अपने बन्दा दाऊद की ख़ातिर, जिसे मैंने इसलिए चुन लिया कि उसने मेरे अहकाम और क़ानून माने, मैं इसकी उम्र भर इसे पेशवा बनाए रखूँगा।
35 But I will take the kingdom out of the hand of his son, and I will give it unto thee, even the ten tribes.
लेकिन उसके बेटे के हाथ से हुकूमत या'नी दस क़बीलों को लेकर तुझे दूँगा;
36 And unto his son will I give one tribe; so that there may remain a government for David my servant at all times before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for me, to put my name there.
और उसके बेटे को एक क़बीला दूँगा, ताकि मेरे बन्दे दाऊद का चराग़ येरूशलेम, या'नी उस शहर में जिसे मैंने अपना नाम रखने के लिए चुन लिया है, हमेशा मेरे आगे रहे।
37 But thee will I take, and thou shalt reign over all that thy soul may long for; and thou shalt be king over Israel.
और मैं तुझे लूँगा, और तू अपने दिल की पूरी ख़्वाहिश के मुवाफ़िक हुकूमत करेगा और इस्राईल का बादशाह होगा।
38 And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I shall command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do what is right in my eyes, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did: that I will be with thee, and build thee a permanent house, as I have built for David, and I will give Israel unto thee.
और ऐसा होगा कि अगर तू उन सब बातों को जिनका मैं तुझे हुक्म दूँ सुने, और मेरी रास्तों पर चले, और जो काम मेरी नज़र में भला है उसको करे, और मेरे क़ानूनऔर अहकाम को माने, जैसा मेरे बन्दा दाऊद ने किया, तो मैं तेरे साथ रहूँगा, और तेरे लिए एक मज़बूत घर बनाऊँगा, जैसा मैंने दाऊद के लिए बनाया, और इस्राईल को तुझे दे दूँगा।
39 And I will afflict the seed of David for this; but not for all times.
और मैं इसी वजह से दाऊद की नसल को दुख दूँगा, लेकिन हमेशा तक नहीं।”
40 Solomon thereupon sought to put Jerobo'am to death; but Jerobo'am arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak the king of Egypt, and remained in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
इसलिए सुलेमान युरब'आम के क़त्ल के पीछे पड़ गया, लेकिन युरब'आम उठकर मिस्र को शाह — ए — मिस्र सीसक के पास भाग गया और सुलेमान की वफ़ात तक मिस्र में रहा।
41 And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did and his wisdom, behold, they are written in the book of the history of Solomon.
सुलेमान का बाक़ी हाल और सब कुछ जो उसने किया और उसकी हिकमत: इसलिए क्या वह सुलेमान के अहवाल की किताब में दर्ज नहीं?
42 And the days that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel were forty years.
और वह मुद्दत जिसमें सुलेमान ने येरूशलेम में सब इस्राईल पर हुकूमत की चालीस साल की थी।
43 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father; and Rehobo'am his son became king in his stead.
और सुलेमान अपने बाप — दादा के साथ सो गया, और अपने बाप दाऊद के शहर में दफ़्न हुआ, और उसका बेटा रहुब'आम उसकी जगह बादशाह हुआ।
