1 Kings 1
1 Now king David was old, stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he could not become warm.
௧தாவீது ராஜா வயது முதிர்ந்தவனானபோது, துணிகளால் அவனை மூடினாலும், அவனுக்கு அனல் உண்டாகவில்லை.
2 Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let them seek out for my lord the king a young virgin, and let her stand before the king, and let her be an attendant on him; and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may become warm.
௨அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: ராஜாவிற்கு முன்பாக நின்று, அவருக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்யவும், ராஜாவாகிய எங்களுடைய எஜமானுக்கு சூடு உண்டாக உம்முடைய மடியிலே படுத்துக்கொள்ளவும் கன்னியாகிய ஒரு இளம்பெண்ணை ராஜாவாகிய எங்கள் எஜமானுக்குத் தேடுவோம் என்று சொல்லி,
3 So they sought for a fair maiden throughout all the territory of Israel; and they found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king.
௩இஸ்ரவேலின் எல்லைகளிலெல்லாம் அழகான ஒரு பெண்ணைத் தேடி, சூனேம் ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த அபிஷாகைக் கண்டு, அவளை ராஜாவிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
4 And the maiden was exceedingly fair; and she became an attendant on the king, and ministered to him; but the king knew her not.
௪அந்தப் பெண் மிகவும் அழகாக இருந்தாள்; அவள் ராஜாவிற்கு உதவியாக இருந்து அவனுக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்தாள்; ஆனாலும் ராஜா அவளுடன் உறவுகொள்ளவில்லை.
5 And Adoniyah the son of Chaggith exalted himself, saying, I shall be king: and he procured himself a chariot and horsemen, and fifty men who ran before him.
௫ஆகீத்திற்குப் பிறந்த அதோனியா என்பவன்; நான் ராஜா ஆவேன் என்று சொல்லி, தன்னைத்தான் உயர்த்தி, தனக்கு இரதங்களையும் குதிரை வீரர்களையும், தனக்குமுன் ஓடும் ஐம்பது வீரர்களையும் சம்பாதித்தான்.
6 And his father had never grieved him in all his life by saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was of a very goodly form; and his mother had born him after Abshalom.
௬அவனுடைய தகப்பன்: நீ ஏன் இப்படிச் செய்கிறாய் என்று அவனை ஒருபோதும் கண்டிக்கவில்லை; அவன் மிகவும் அழகுள்ளவனாக இருந்தான்; அப்சலோமுக்குப்பின்பு அவனுடைய தாய் அவனைப் பெற்றாள்.
7 And he had conferences with Joab the son of Zeruyah, and with Ebyathar the priest: and they, following Adoniyah, helped him.
௭அவன் செருயாவின் மகனாகிய யோவாபோடும், ஆசாரியனாகிய அபியத்தாரோடும் ஆலோசனை செய்துவந்தான்; அவர்கள் அவனோடு இருந்து அவனுக்கு உதவி செய்துவந்தார்கள்.
8 But Zadok the priest, and Benayahu the son of Yehoyada', and Nathan the prophet, and Shim'i, and Re'i, and the mighty men that belonged to David, were not with Adoniyah.
௮ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கும், யோய்தாவின் மகனாகிய பெனாயாவும், தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தானும், சீமேயியும், ரேயியும், தாவீதுடன் இருக்கிற பலசாலிகளும், அதோனியாவுக்கு துணைபோகவில்லை.
9 And Adoniyah slaughtered sheep and oxen and fatted cattle by the stone Zocheleth, which is by 'En-rogel; and he invited all his brothers the king's sons, and all the men of Judah the king's servants;
௯அதோனியா என்ரோகேலுக்கு அருகிலுள்ள சோகெலெத் என்னும் கல்லின் அருகே ஆடுமாடுகளையும் கொழுத்த கன்றுகளையும் அடித்து, ராஜாவின் மகன்களாகிய தன்னுடைய சகோதரர்கள் எல்லோரையும், ராஜாவின் வேலைக்காரர்களான யூதாவின் மனிதர்கள் அனைவரையும் அழைத்தான்.
10 But Nathan the prophet, and Benayahu, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he invited not.
௧0தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தானையும், பெனாயாவையும், பலசாலிகளையும், தன்னுடைய சகோதரனாகிய சாலொமோனையும் அழைக்கவில்லை.
11 And Nathan spoke unto Bath-sheba' the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adoniyah the son of Chaggith is become king, and [that] David our lord knoweth it not?
௧௧அப்பொழுது நாத்தான் சாலொமோனின் தாயாகிய பத்சேபாளை நோக்கி: நம்முடைய எஜமானாகிய தாவீதுக்குத் தெரியாமல், ஆகீத்தின் மகனாகிய அதோனியா ராஜாவாகிற செய்தியை நீ கேட்கவில்லையா?
12 And now come, let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel, that thou mayest save thy own life, and the life of thy son Solomon.
௧௨இப்போதும் உன்னுடைய உயிரையும் உன் மகனாகிய சாலொமோனின் உயிரையும் காப்பாற்றும்படி நீ வா, உனக்கு நான் ஆலோசனை சொல்லுவேன்.
13 Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thy hand-maid, saying, Assuredly, Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and only he shall sit upon my throne? why then is Adoniyah become king?
௧௩நீ தாவீது ராஜாவிடம் போய்: ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமானனே, எனக்குப்பின்பு உன்னுடைய மகனாகிய சாலொமோன் ராஜாவாகி, அவனே என்னுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருப்பான் என்று நீர் உமது அடியாளுக்கு ஆணையிடவில்லையா? அப்படியிருக்க, அதோனியா ராஜாவாகிறது என்ன? என்று அவரிடத்தில் கேள்.
14 And, lo, while thou shalt be yet speaking there with the king, I myself will come in after thee, and confirm thy words.
௧௪நீ அங்கே ராஜாவோடு பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, நானும் உனக்குப் பின்வந்து, உன்னுடைய வார்த்தைகளை உறுதிப்படுத்துவேன் என்றான்.
15 And Bath-sheba' went in unto the king into the chamber, and the king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite was ministering unto the king.
௧௫அப்படியே பத்சேபாள் ராஜாவின் அறைக்குள் சென்றாள்; ராஜா மிகவும் வயதானவனாக இருந்தான்; சூனேம் ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த அபிஷாக் ராஜாவிற்குப் பணிவிடை செய்துகொண்டிருந்தாள்.
16 And Bath-sheba' bowed, and prostrated herself unto the king: and the king said, What wouldst thou?
௧௬பத்சேபாள் குனிந்து, ராஜாவை வணங்கினாள்; அப்பொழுது ராஜா: உனக்கு என்ன வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டான்.
17 And she said unto him, My lord, thou thyself didst swear by the Lord thy God unto thy hand-maid, Assuredly, Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and only he shall sit upon my throne.
௧௭அதற்கு அவள்: என்னுடைய எஜமானே, எனக்குப்பின்பு உன்னுடைய மகனாகிய சாலொமோன் ராஜாவாகி, அவனே என்னுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருப்பான் என்று நீர் உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவைக் கொண்டு, உமது அடியாளுக்கு ஆணையிட்டீரே.
18 And now, behold, Adoniyah is become king; and now, my lord, O king, thou knowest it not:
௧௮இப்பொழுது, இதோ, அதோனியா ராஜாவாகிறான்; என்னுடைய எஜமானாகிய ராஜாவே, நீர் அதை அறியவில்லை.
19 And he hath slaughtered oxen and fatted cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath invited all the sons of the king, and Ebyathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the army; but Solomon thy servant hath he not invited.
௧௯அவன் மாடுகளையும் கொழுத்தக் கன்றுகளையும் ஆடுகளையும் மிகுதியாக அடித்து, ராஜாவின் மகன்கள் அனைவரையும் ஆசாரியனாகிய அபியத்தாரையும், யோவாப் என்னும் படைத்தலைவனையும் அழைத்தான்; ஆனாலும் உமது அடியானாகிய சாலொமோனை அழைக்கவில்லை.
20 And as for thee, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, to tell them, who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
௨0ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமானனே, ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமானுக்குப் பிறகு அவருடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருப்பவன் யார் என்று தங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்க வேண்டும் என்று இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் அனைவரின் கண்களும் உம்மை பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது.
21 Otherwise it would come to pass, when my lord the king sleepeth with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon may be counted offenders.
௨௧அறிவிக்காமற்போனால் ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமான் மரித்து முற்பிதாக்ககளைப் போல உலகத்தை விட்டு போனப் பின்பு, நானும் என்னுடைய மகனாகிய சாலொமோனும் குற்றவாளிகளாகக் கருதப்படுவோம் என்றாள்.
22 And, lo, while she was yet speaking with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.
௨௨அவள் ராஜாவோடு பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தான் வந்தான்.
23 And they told the king, saying, Behold, here is Nathan the prophet: and when he was come in before the king, he prostrated himself before the king with his face to the ground.
௨௩தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தான் வந்திருக்கிறார் என்று ராஜாவிற்குத் தெரிவித்தார்கள்; அவன் ராஜாவிற்கு முன்பாக வந்து முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து ராஜாவை வணங்கினான்.
24 And Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou then said, Adoniyah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?
௨௪நாத்தான்: ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமானனே, அதோனியா எனக்குப்பின்பு ராஜாவாகி, அவனே என்னுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருப்பான் என்று நீர் சொன்னது உண்டோ?
25 For he is gone down this day, and hath slaughtered oxen and fatted cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath invited all the king's sons, and the captains of the army, and Ebyathar the priest: and, behold, they are eating and drinking before him, and they say, Long live king Adoniyah.
௨௫அவன் இன்றையதினம் போய், மாடுகளையும் கொழுத்த கன்றுகளையும், ஆடுகளையும் மிகுதியாக அடித்து, ராஜாவின் மகன்கள் அனைவரையும் இராணுவத்தலைவர்களையும், ஆசாரியனாகிய அபியத்தாரையும் அழைத்தான்; அவர்கள் அவனுக்கு முன்பாக சாப்பிட்டுக் குடித்து, ராஜாவாகிய அதோனியா வாழ்க என்று சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.
26 But as for me, me thy servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benayahu the son of Yehoyada', and thy servant Solomon, hath he not invited.
௨௬ஆனாலும் உமது அடியானாகிய என்னையும், ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கையும், யோய்தாவின் மகனாகிய பெனாயாவையும், உமது அடியானாகிய சாலொமோனையும் அவன் அழைக்கவில்லை.
27 Can it be that this hath been done by order of my lord the king, and thou hast not informed thy servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?
௨௭ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமானனுக்குப்பின் தமது சிங்காசனத்தில் அமர்ந்திருப்பவன் இவன்தான் என்று நீர் உமது அடியானுக்குத் தெரிவிக்காமலிருக்கும்போது, இந்தக் காரியம் ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமானுடைய கட்டளையால் நடந்திருக்குமோ என்றான்.
28 Then answered king David, and said, Call me Bath-sheba'; and she came into the king's presence, and stood before the king.
௨௮அப்பொழுது தாவீது ராஜா மறுமொழியாக: பத்சேபாளை என்னிடத்தில் வரவழையுங்கள் என்றான்; அவள் ராஜாவின் சமுகத்தில் வந்து ராஜாவிற்கு முன்பாக நின்றாள்.
29 And the king swore and said, As the Lord liveth, that hath redeemed my soul out of all distress,
௨௯அப்பொழுது ராஜா: உன்னுடைய மகனாகிய சாலொமோன் எனக்குப்பின்பு அரசாண்டு, அவனே என்னுடைய இடத்தில் என்னுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருப்பான் என்று நான் உனக்கு இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா மேல் ஆணையிட்டபடியே, இன்றைக்குச் செய்து தீர்ப்பேன் என்பதை,
30 Even as I have sworn unto thee by the Lord the God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and only he shall sit upon my throne in my stead: even so will I certainly do this day.
௩0என்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவை எல்லாப் பிரச்சனையிலிருந்தும் விலக்கி மீட்ட யெகோவாவுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று ஆணையிட்டான்.
31 Then did Bath-sheba' bow herself with her face to the earth, and prostrate herself unto the king; and she said, May my lord, the king David, live for ever!
௩௧அப்பொழுது பத்சேபாள் தரைமட்டும் குனிந்து ராஜாவை வணங்கி, என்னுடைய எஜமானாகிய தாவீது ராஜா என்றைக்கும் வாழ்க என்றாள்.
32 And king David said, Call unto me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benayahu the son of Yehoyada'. And they came before the king.
௩௨பின்பு தாவீது ராஜா, ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கையும் தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தானையும் யோய்தாவின் மகன் பெனாயாவையும் என்னிடத்தில் வரவழையுங்கள் என்றான்.
33 And the king said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon my own mule, and conduct him down to Gichon:
௩௩அவர்கள் ராஜாவிற்கு முன்பாக வந்தபோது, ராஜா அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் உங்கள் ஆண்டவனுடைய வேலைக்காரர்களைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, என்னுடைய மகனாகிய சாலொமோனை என்னுடைய கோவேறுகழுதையின்மேல் ஏற்றி, அவனைக் கீகோனுக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோங்கள்.
34 And let Zadok the priest with Nathan the prophet anoint him there as king over Israel; and blow ye with the cornet, and say, Long live king Solomon.
௩௪அங்கே ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கும் தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தானும் அவனை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்செய்யவேண்டும்; பின்பு எக்காளம் ஊதி, ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் வாழ்க என்று வாழ்த்துங்கள்.
35 Then shall ye go up after him, and he shall come and sit upon my throne; and he shall be king in my stead: and him have I ordained to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.
௩௫அதின் பின்பு அவன் நகர்வலம் வந்து, என்னுடைய சிங்காசனத்தில் அமர்ந்திருக்கும்படி, அவனைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு வாருங்கள்; அவனே என்னுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவாக இருப்பான்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேலும் யெகோவா யூதாவின்மேலும் தலைவனாக இருக்கும்படி அவனை ஏற்படுத்தினேன் என்றான்.
36 And Benayahu the son of Yehoyada' answered the king, and said, Amen: May thus say the Eternal the God of my lord the king.
௩௬அப்பொழுது யோய்தாவின் மகன் பெனாயா ராஜாவிற்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: ஆமென், ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமானுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவும் இப்படியே சொல்வாராக.
37 As the Eternal hath been with my lord the king, even so may he be with Solomon, and may he make his throne greater than the throne of my lord the king David.
௩௭ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமானோடு எப்படி இருந்தாரோ, அப்படியே அவர் சாலொமோனோடும் இருந்து, தாவீது ராஜாவாகிய என்னுடைய எஜமானுடைய சிங்காசனத்தைவிட அவருடைய சிங்காசனத்தைப் பெரிதாக்குவாராக என்றான்.
38 Thereupon Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benayahu the son of Yehoyada', and the Kerethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and conducted him to Gichon.
௩௮அப்படியே ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கும், தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தானும், யோய்தாவின் மகன் பெனாயாவும், கிரேத்தியர்களும் பிலேத்தியர்களும் போய், சாலொமோனைத் தாவீது ராஜாவினுடைய கோவேறுகழுதையின்மேல் ஏற்றி, அவனைக் கீகோனுக்கு நடத்திக்கொண்டு போனார்கள்.
39 And Zadok the priest took the horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew with the cornet; and all the people said, Long live king Solomon.
௩௯ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கு தைலக் கொம்பைக் கூடாரத்திலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், சாலொமோனை அபிஷேகம்செய்தான்; அப்பொழுது எக்காளம் ஊதி, மக்களெல்லோரும் ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் வாழ்க என்று வாழ்த்தினார்கள்.
40 And all the people went up after him, and the people blew on flutes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth was rent at their noise.
௪0பின்பு மக்களெல்லோரும் அவன் பின்னே போனார்கள்; மக்கள் நாதசுரங்களை ஊதி, பூமி அவர்கள் சத்தத்தினால் அதிரும்படி மிகவும் பூரிப்பாகச் சந்தோஷித்தார்கள்.
41 And Adoniyah and all the guests that were with him heard it as they had just finished eating: and when Joab heard the sound of the cornet, he said, Wherefore is this noise of the city in an uproar?
௪௧அதோனியாவும் அவனோடிருந்த எல்லா விருந்தாளிகளும் சாப்பிட்டு முடித்தபோது, அதைக் கேட்டார்கள்; யோவாப் எக்காள சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டபோது, நகரத்தில் உண்டாயிருக்கிற ஆரவாரம் என்ன என்று விசாரித்தான்.
42 And while he was yet speaking, behold, Jonathan the son of Ebyathar the priest came in: and Adoniyah said [unto him], Come in; for thou art a worthy man, and must bring good tidings.
௪௨அவன் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, ஆசாரியனாகிய அபியத்தாரின் மகன் யோனத்தான் வந்தான்; அப்பொழுது அதோனியா, உள்ளே வா, நீ கெட்டிக்காரன், நீ நற்செய்தி கொண்டுவருகிறவன் என்றான்.
43 And Jonathan answered and said to Adoniyah, Alas, no; our lord king David hath made Solomon king;
௪௩யோனத்தான் அதோனியாவுக்கு மறுமொழியாக: ஏது, தாவீது ராஜாவாகிய நம்முடைய எஜமான் சாலொமோனை ராஜாவாக்கினாரே.
44 And the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benayahu the son of Yehoyada', and the Kerethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king's mule;
௪௪ராஜா ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கையும், தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தானையும், யோய்தாவின் மகன் பெனாயாவையும், கிரேத்தியர்களையும் பிலேத்தியர்களையும் அவனோடு அனுப்பினார்; அவர்கள் அவனை ராஜாவுடைய கோவேறு கழுதையின்மேல் ஏற்றினார்கள்.
45 And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him as king on the Gichon; and they are come up from there rejoicing, and the city hath been set in commotion. This is the noise that ye have heard.
௪௫ஆசாரியனாகிய சாதோக்கும், தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தானும், அவனைக் கீகோனிலே ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்செய்தார்கள்; நகரமெல்லாம் அதிரத்தக்கதாக அங்கேயிருந்து பூரிப்போடு புறப்பட்டுப்போனார்கள்; நீங்கள் கேட்ட சத்தம் அதுதான்.
46 And Solomon hath also sat on the kingly throne.
௪௬அல்லாமலும் சாலொமோன் ராஜாங்கத்திற்குரிய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருக்கிறான்.
47 And also the king's servants are come to bless our lord king David, saying, May God make the name of Solomon more famous than thy name, and make his throne greater than thy throne: and the king hath bowed himself upon the bed.
௪௭ராஜாவின் ஊழியக்காரர்களும் தாவீது ராஜாவாகிய நம்முடைய எஜமானனை வாழ்த்த வந்து: தேவன் சாலொமோனின் பெயரை உம்முடைய பெயரைவிட பிரபலப்படுத்தி, அவருடைய சிங்காசனத்தை உம்முடைய சிங்காசனத்தைவிட பெரிதாக்குவாராக என்றார்கள்; ராஜா தம்முடைய கட்டிலின்மேல் குனிந்து பணிந்துகொண்டார்.
48 And also thus hath the king said, Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel, who hath given [me] this day one who sitteth on my throne, while my eyes see it.
௪௮பின்னும் ராஜா: என்னுடைய கண்கள் காண இன்றையதினம் என்னுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் ஒருவனை வீற்றிருக்கச்செய்த இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் என்று சொன்னார் என்றான்.
49 And all the guests that were with Adoniyah were terrified, and rose up, and went, every man, on his own way.
௪௯அப்பொழுது அதோனியாவின் விருந்தாளிகளெல்லோரும் அதிர்ந்து எழுந்து, அவரவர் தங்கள் வழியே போய்விட்டார்கள்.
50 And Adoniyah was afraid because of Solomon; and he arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.
௫0அதோனியா, சாலொமோனுக்குப் பயந்ததால் எழுந்துபோய், பலிபீடத்தின் கொம்புகளைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டான்.
51 And it was told unto Solomon, saying, Behold, Adoniyah feareth king Solomon; and, behold, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me today that he will not slay his servant with the sword.
௫௧இதோ, அதோனியா ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனுக்குப் பயப்படுகிறான் என்றும், இதோ, அவன் பலிபீடத்தின் கொம்புகளைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் தமது அடியானைப் பட்டயத்தாலே கொன்றுபோடுவதில்லை என்று இன்று எனக்கு ஆணையிடுவாராக என்கிறான் என்றும், சாலொமோனுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
52 And Solomon said, If he will become a worthy man, there shall not a hair of his fall to the earth; but if any wrong shall be found on him, then shall he die.
௫௨அப்பொழுது சாலொமோன்: அவன் தன்னை யோக்கியன் என்று காண்பித்தால் அவன் தலைமுடியில் ஒன்றும் தரையிலே விழாது; அவனிடம் தீமை காணப்பட்டால், அவன் சாகவேண்டும் என்றான்.
53 So king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar; and he came and bowed himself to king Solomon; and Solomon said unto him, Go to thy house.
௫௩அவனை பலிபீடத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுவர, ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் ஆட்களை அனுப்பினான்; அவன் வந்து, ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனை வணங்கினான்; சாலொமோன் அவனைப் பார்த்து: உன்னுடைய வீட்டிற்குப் போ என்றான்.
