5 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Meshech, and Thirass.
Japhets barn äro desse: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Thubal, Mesech, Thiras.
6 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenas, and Diphath, and Thogarmah.
Men Gomers barn äro: Ascenas, Riphath, Thogarma.
7 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tharshishah, Kittim, and Rodanim.
Javans barn äro: Elisa, Tharsisa, Chittim, Dodam, Dodanim.
8 The sons of Ham: Cush, and Misrayim, Put, and Canaan.
Hams barn äro: Chus, Mizraim, Phut, Canaan.
9 And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Chavilah, and Sabta, and Ra'mah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Ra'mah: Sheba, and Dedan.
Men Chus barn äro desse: Seda, Havila, Sabtha, Raema, Sabtecha, Raema barn äro: Seba och Dedan.
10 And Cush begat Nimrod: this one began to be a mighty man upon the earth.
Men Chus födde Nimrod. Han begynte vara väldig på jordene.
11 And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and there the 'Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuchim,

12 And the Pathrussim, and the Cassluchim, of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphthorim.

13 And Canaan begat Zidon, his first-born, and Heth.

14 And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgashite,
Jebusi, Emori, Girgasi,
15 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
Hivi, Arki, Sini,
16 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Chamathite.
Arvadi, Zemari och Hamathi.
17 The sons of Shem: 'Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and 'Uz, and Chul, and Gether, and Meshech.
Sems barn äro desse: Elam, Assur, Arphachsad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether och Maseeh.
18 And Arpachshad begat Shelach, and Shelach begat 'Eber.
Men Arphachsad födde Salah; Salah födde Eber.
19 And unto 'Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
Men Eber vordo födde två söner; den ene het Peleg, derföre, att i hans tid vardt landet deladt; och hans broder het Jaketan.
20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,
Jaketan födde Almodad, Saleph, Hazarmaveth, Jarah,
21 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
Hadoram, Usal, Dikela,
22 And 'Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,
Ebal, Abimael, Seba,
23 And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
Ophir, Havila och Jobab. Desse äro alle Jaketans barn.
24 Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,
Sem, Arphachsad, Salah,
25 'Eber, Peleg, Re'u,

26 Serug, Nachor, Terach,
Serug, Nahor, Tharah,
27 Abram, the same is Abraham.
Abram, det är Abraham.
28 The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishma'el.
Men Abrahams barn äro: Isaac och Ismael.
29 These are their generations: The first-born of Ishma'el, Nebayoth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

30 Mishma', and Dumah, Massa, Chadad, and Thema,

32 And the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Yishbak, and Shuach. And the sons Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.
Men Keturas barn, Abrahams frillos: hon födde Simran, Jaksan, Medan, Midian, Jisbak, Suah. Och Jaksans barn äro: Seba och Dedan.
33 And the sons of Midian: 'Ephah, and 'Epher, and Chanoch, and Abida', and Elda'ah. All these are the sons of Keturah.
Och Midians barn äro: Epha, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, Eldaa. Desse äro alle Keturas barn.
34 And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
Abraham födde Isaac. Isaacs barn äro: Esau och Israel.
35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Re'uel, and Ye'ush, and Ya'lam, and Korach.
Esau barn äro: Eliphas, Reguel, Jeus, Jaelam, Korah.
36 The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, and Omar, Zephi, and Ga'tam, Kenas, and Thimna', and 'Amalek.
Eliphas barn äro: Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatham, Kenas, Thimna, Amalek.
37 The sons of Re'uel: Nachath, Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah.
Reguels barn äro: Nahath, Serah, Samma och Missa.
38 And the sons of Se'ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib'on, and 'Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
Seirs barn äro: Lotan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, Dison, Ezer, Disan.
39 And the sons of Lotan: Chori, and Homam: and the sister of Lotan: Thimna'.
Lotans barn äro: Hori, Homam; och Thimna var Lotans syster.
40 The sons of Shobal: 'Alyan, and Manachath, and 'Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib'on: 'Ayah, and 'Anah.
Sobals barn äro: Aljan, Manahat, Ebal, Zephi, Onam. Zibeons barn: Aja och Ana.
41 The sons of 'Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
Ana barn äro: Dison. Disons barn äro: Hamran, Esban, Jithran, Cheran.
42 The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za'avan, and Ja'akan. The sons of Dishan: 'Uz, and Aran.
Ezers barn äro: Bilhan, Saavan, Jaachan. Disans barn äro: Uz och Aran.
43 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela' the son of Be'or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
Desse äro de Konungar, som regerade uti Edoms land, förra än någor Konung regerade ibland Israels barn: Bela, Geors son; och hans stad het Dinhaba.
44 And Bela' died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.
Och då Bela blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Jobab, Serahs son af Bozra.
45 And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.
Då Jobab blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Husam, utaf de Themaniters land.
46 And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was 'Avith.

47 And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.

48 And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.

49 And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba'al-chanan the son of 'Achbor.

50 And Ba'al-chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa'i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
Då Baalhanan blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Hadad; och hans stad het Pagi; och hans hustru het Mehetabeel, Matreds dotter, och Mesahabs dotter.
51 Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna', duke 'Alvah, duke Jetheth,

52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

53 Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,

54 Duke Magdiel, duke 'Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
