1 Adam, Sheth, Enosh,

൧ആദാം, ശേത്ത്, ഏനോശ്,

2 Kenan, Mehalalel, Jered,

൨കേനാൻ, മഹലലേൽ, യാരെദ്,

3 Enoch, Methushelah, Lemech,

൩ഹാനോക്ക്, മെഥൂശേലഹ്, ലാമെക്ക്, നോഹ,

4 Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

൪ശേം, ഹാം, യാഫെത്ത്. യാഫെത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ:

5 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Meshech, and Thirass.

൫ഗോമെർ, മാഗോഗ്, മാദായി, യാവാൻ, തൂബാൽ

6 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenas, and Diphath, and Thogarmah.

൬മേശെക്ക്, തീരാസ്. ഗോമെരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അശ്കേനസ്, രീഫത്ത്, തോഗർമ്മാ.

7 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tharshishah, Kittim, and Rodanim.

൭യാവാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: എലീശാ, തർശീശ്, കിത്തീം, ദോദാനീം.

8 The sons of Ham: Cush, and Misrayim, Put, and Canaan.

൮ഹാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: കൂശ്, മിസ്രയീം, പൂത്ത്, കനാൻ.

9 And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Chavilah, and Sabta, and Ra'mah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Ra'mah: Sheba, and Dedan.

൯കൂശിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: സെബാ, ഹവീലാ, സബ്താ, രാമ, സബ്തെക്കാ. രമായുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ശെബാ, ദെദാൻ.

10 And Cush begat Nimrod: this one began to be a mighty man upon the earth.

൧൦കൂശ് നിമ്രോദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു. അവൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ ആദ്യത്തെ വീരനായിരുന്നു.

11 And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and there the 'Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuchim,

൧൧മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ലൂദീം, അനാമീം, ലെഹാബീം,

12 And the Pathrussim, and the Cassluchim, of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphthorim.

൧൨നഫ്തൂഹീം, പത്രൂസീം, കസ്ലൂഹീം, (ഇവരിൽനിന്ന് ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ ഉത്ഭവിച്ചു). കഫ്തോരീം എന്നിവരെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

13 And Canaan begat Zidon, his first-born, and Heth.

൧൩കനാന്റെ ആദ്യജാതൻ സീദോൻ കൂടാതെ

14 And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgashite,

൧൪ഹേത്ത്, യെബൂസി, അമോരി,

15 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

൧൫ഗിർഗ്ഗശി, ഹിവ്വി, അർക്കി, സീനി, അർവ്വാദി,

16 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Chamathite.

൧൬സെമാരി, ഹമാത്തി എന്നിവരെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

17 The sons of Shem: 'Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and 'Uz, and Chul, and Gether, and Meshech.

൧൭ശേമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഏലാം, അശ്ശൂർ, അർപ്പക്ഷാദ്, ലൂദ്, അരാം, ഊസ്, ഹൂൾ, ഗേഥെർ, മേശെക്.

18 And Arpachshad begat Shelach, and Shelach begat 'Eber.

൧൮അർപ്പക്ഷാദ് ശേലഹിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ശേലഹ് ഏബെരിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

19 And unto 'Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

൧൯ഏബെരിന് രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാർ ജനിച്ചു; ഒരുവന് പേലെഗ് എന്ന് പേർ; അവന്റെ കാലത്തായിരുന്നു ഭൂവാസികൾ പിരിഞ്ഞുപോയത്; അവന്റെ സഹോദരന് യൊക്താൻ എന്ന് പേർ.

20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,

൨൦യൊക്താന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അല്മോദാദ്, ശേലെഫ്, ഹസർമ്മാവെത്ത്,

21 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

൨൧യാരഹ്, ഹദോരാം, ഊസാൽ, ദിക്ലാ,

22 And 'Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,

൨൨എബാൽ, അബീമായേൽ, ശെബാ,

23 And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

൨൩ഓഫീർ, ഹവീലാ, യോബാബ് എന്നിവർ ആയിരുന്നു.

24 Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,

൨൪ശേം, അർപ്പക്ഷാദ്, ശേലഹ്, ഏബെർ,

25 'Eber, Peleg, Re'u,

൨൫പേലെഗ്, രെയൂ, ശെരൂഗ്,

26 Serug, Nachor, Terach,

൨൬നാഹോർ, തേരഹ്, അബ്രാം;

27 Abram, the same is Abraham.

൨൭ഇവൻ തന്നെ അബ്രാഹാം.

28 The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishma'el.

൨൮അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യിസ്ഹാക്ക്, യിശ്മായേൽ.

29 These are their generations: The first-born of Ishma'el, Nebayoth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

൨൯അവരുടെ വംശപാരമ്പര്യം ഇപ്രകാരം ആണ്; യിശ്മായേലിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതൻ നെബായോത്ത് ആണ്.

30 Mishma', and Dumah, Massa, Chadad, and Thema,

൩൦കേദാർ, അദ്ബെയേൽ, മിബ്ശാം, മിശ്മാ, ദൂമാ,

31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishma'el.

൩൧മസ്സാ, ഹദദ്, തേമാ, യെതൂർ, നാഫീഷ്, കേദമാ എന്നിവർ യിശ്മായേലിന്റെ മറ്റുപുത്രന്മാർ.

32 And the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Yishbak, and Shuach. And the sons Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.

൩൨അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ വെപ്പാട്ടിയായ കെതൂറാ സിമ്രാൻ, യൊക്ശാൻ, മേദാൻ, മിദ്യാൻ, യിശ്ബാക്, ശൂവഹ് എന്നിവരെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. യോക്ശാന്‍റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ശെബാ, ദെദാൻ.

33 And the sons of Midian: 'Ephah, and 'Epher, and Chanoch, and Abida', and Elda'ah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

൩൩മിദ്യാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഏഫാ, ഏഫെർ, ഹനോക്ക്, അബീദാ, എൽദായാ; ഇവരെല്ലാവരും കെതൂറായുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ.

34 And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

൩൪അബ്രാഹാം യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു. യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഏശാവ്, യിസ്രായേൽ.

35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Re'uel, and Ye'ush, and Ya'lam, and Korach.

൩൫ഏശാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: എലീഫാസ്, രെയൂവേൽ, യെയൂശ്, യലാം, കോരഹ്.

36 The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, and Omar, Zephi, and Ga'tam, Kenas, and Thimna', and 'Amalek.

൩൬എലീഫാസിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: തേമാൻ, ഓമാർ, സെഫീ, ഗഥാം, കെനസ്, തിമ്നാ, അമാലേക്.

37 The sons of Re'uel: Nachath, Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah.

൩൭രെയൂവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: നഹത്ത്, സേരഹ്, ശമ്മാ, മിസ്സാ.

38 And the sons of Se'ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib'on, and 'Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

൩൮സേയീരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ലോതാൻ, ശോബാൽ, സിബെയോൻ, അനാ, ദീശോൻ, ഏസെർ, ദീശാൻ.

39 And the sons of Lotan: Chori, and Homam: and the sister of Lotan: Thimna'.

൩൯ലോതാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹോരി, ഹോമാം; തിമ്നാ ലോതാന്റെ സഹോദരി ആയിരുന്നു.

40 The sons of Shobal: 'Alyan, and Manachath, and 'Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib'on: 'Ayah, and 'Anah.

൪൦ശോബാലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അലീയാൻ, മാനഹത്ത്, ഏബാൽ, ശെഫി, ഓനാം. സിബെയോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അയ്യാ, അനാ.

41 The sons of 'Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.

൪൧അനയുടെ പുത്രൻ ദീശോൻ. ദീശോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹമ്രാൻ, എശ്ബാൽ, യിത്രാൻ, കെരാൻ.

42 The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za'avan, and Ja'akan. The sons of Dishan: 'Uz, and Aran.

൪൨ഏസെരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ബിൽഹാൻ, സാവാൻ, യാക്കാൻ. ദീശാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഊസ്, അരാൻ.

43 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela' the son of Be'or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

൪൩യിസ്രായേലിൽ രാജഭരണം ആരംഭിക്കും മുമ്പെ ഏദോംദേശത്ത് വാണ രാജാക്കന്മാർ: ബെയോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബേല; അവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിന് ദിൻഹാബാ എന്ന് പേർ.

44 And Bela' died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.

൪൪ബേല മരിച്ചശേഷം ബൊസ്രക്കാരനായ സേരെഹിന്റെ മകൻ യോബാബ് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

45 And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.

൪൫യോബാബ് മരിച്ചശേഷം തേമാദേശക്കാരനായ ഹൂശാം അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

46 And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was 'Avith.

൪൬ഹൂശാം മരിച്ചശേഷം ബദദിന്റെ മകൻ ഹദദ് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി; അവൻ മോവാബ് സമഭൂമിയിൽ മിദ്യാനെ തോല്പിച്ചു; അവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിന് അവീത്ത് എന്ന് പേർ.

47 And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.

൪൭ഹദദ് മരിച്ചശേഷം മസ്രേക്കക്കാരനായ സമ്ലാ അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

48 And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.

൪൮സമ്ലാ മരിച്ചശേഷം നദീതീരത്തുള്ള രെഹോബോത്ത് പട്ടണക്കാരനായ ശൌല്‍ അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

49 And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba'al-chanan the son of 'Achbor.

൪൯ശൌല്‍ മരിച്ചശേഷം അക്ബോരിന്റെ മകൻ ബാൽഹാനാൻ അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

50 And Ba'al-chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa'i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.

൫൦ബാൽഹാനാൻ മരിച്ചശേഷം ഹദദ് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി. അവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിന് പായീ എന്നും ഭാര്യക്ക് മെഹേതബേൽ എന്നും പേർ. അവൾ മേസാഹാബിന്റെ മകളായ മത്രേദിന്റെ മകളായിരുന്നു.

51 Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna', duke 'Alvah, duke Jetheth,

൫൧ഹദദും മരിച്ചു. ഏദോമ്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ: തിമ്നാപ്രഭു, അല്യാപ്രഭു, യെഥേത്ത്പ്രഭു,

52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

൫൨ഒഹൊലീബാമാപ്രഭു, ഏലാപ്രഭു,

53 Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,

൫൩പീനോൻപ്രഭു, കെനസ്പ്രഭു, തേമാൻപ്രഭു,

54 Duke Magdiel, duke 'Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.

൫൪മിബ്സാർപ്രഭു, മഗ്ദീയേൽപ്രഭു, ഈരാംപ്രഭു.
