7 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tharshishah, Kittim, and Rodanim.
Synové pak Javanovi: Elisa, Tarsis, Cetim a Rodanim.
8 The sons of Ham: Cush, and Misrayim, Put, and Canaan.
Synové Chamovi: Chus, Mizraim, Put a Kanán.
9 And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Chavilah, and Sabta, and Ra'mah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Ra'mah: Sheba, and Dedan.
A synové Chusovi: Sába, Evila, Sabata, Regma, Sabatacha. Synové pak Regmovi: Sába a Dedan.
10 And Cush begat Nimrod: this one began to be a mighty man upon the earth.
Zplodil také Chus Nimroda; ten počal mocným býti na zemi.
11 And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and there the 'Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuchim,
Mizraim pak zplodil Ludim, Anamim, Laabim a Neftuim,
12 And the Pathrussim, and the Cassluchim, of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphthorim.
Fetruzim také a Chasluim, (odkudž pošli Filistinští), a Kafturim.
13 And Canaan begat Zidon, his first-born, and Heth.
Kanán pak zplodil Sidona, prvorozeného svého, a Het,
14 And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgashite,
A Jebuzea, Amorea a Gergezea,
15 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
A Hevea, Aracea a Sinea,
16 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Chamathite.
A Aradia, Samarea a Amatea.
17 The sons of Shem: 'Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and 'Uz, and Chul, and Gether, and Meshech.

A Arfaxad zplodil Sále, Sále pak zplodil Hebera.
19 And unto 'Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
Heberovi pak narodili se dva synové, z nichž jednoho jméno Peleg, proto že za dnů jeho rozdělena byla země, jméno pak bratra jeho Jektan.
20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,
Kterýžto Jektan zplodil Elmodada, Salefa, Azarmota a Járe,
21 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
A Adoráma, Uzala a Dikla,
22 And 'Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,
A Ebale, Abimahele a Sebai,
23 And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
A Ofira, Evila a Jobaba. Všickni ti byli synové Jektanovi.
24 Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,
Sem, Arfaxad, Sále,
25 'Eber, Peleg, Re'u,
Heber, Peleg, Réhu,
26 Serug, Nachor, Terach,

Synové Ezau: Elifaz, Rahuel, Jehus, Jhelom a Kore.
36 The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, and Omar, Zephi, and Ga'tam, Kenas, and Thimna', and 'Amalek.
Synové Elifazovi: Teman, Omar, Sefi, Gatam, Kenaz a syn Tamny, totiž Amalech.
37 The sons of Re'uel: Nachath, Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah.
Synové Rahuelovi: Nahat, Zára, Samma a Méza.
38 And the sons of Se'ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib'on, and 'Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

40 The sons of Shobal: 'Alyan, and Manachath, and 'Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib'on: 'Ayah, and 'Anah.
Synové Sobalovi: Alian, Manáhat, Ebal, Sefi a Onam. Synové pak Sebeonovi: Aia a Ana.
41 The sons of 'Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
Synové Anovi: Dison. A synové Disonovi: Hamran, Eseban, Jetran a Charan.
42 The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za'avan, and Ja'akan. The sons of Dishan: 'Uz, and Aran.
Synové Eser: Balaan, Závan a Jakan. Synové Dízonovi: Hus a Aran.
43 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela' the son of Be'or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
Tito pak jsou králové, kteříž kralovali v zemi Idumejské, prvé než kraloval který král z synů Izraelských: Béla syn Beorův, jehožto město jméno mělo Denaba.
44 And Bela' died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.
A když umřel Béla, kraloval na místě jeho Jobab, syn Záre z Bozra.
45 And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.
A když umřel Jobab, kraloval místo něho Husam z země Temanské.
46 And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was 'Avith.
A když umřel Husam, kraloval místo něho Adad syn Badadův, kterýž porazil Madianské v krajině Moábské; jehož město jméno mělo Avith.
47 And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.
A když umřel Adad, kraloval na místě jeho Semla z Masreka.
48 And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.
A když umřel Semla, kraloval místo něho Saul z Rohobot řeky.
49 And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba'al-chanan the son of 'Achbor.
A když umřel Saul, kraloval místo něho Bálanan, syn Achoborův.
50 And Ba'al-chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa'i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
A když umřel Bálanan, kraloval místo něho Adad, jehož město řečené Pahu; jméno pak ženy jeho Mehetabel, dcera Matredy, dcery Mezábovy.
51 Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna', duke 'Alvah, duke Jetheth,
A když umřel Adad, byli vývodové Idumejští: Vývoda Tamna, vývoda Alja, vývoda Jetet,
52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
Vývoda Olibama, vývoda Ela, vývoda Finon,
53 Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,
Vývoda Kenaz, vývoda Teman, vývoda Mabsar,
54 Duke Magdiel, duke 'Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
Vývoda Magdiel, vývoda Híram. Ti byli vývodové Idumejští.
