1 Chronicles 9
1 So all Israel were recorded by their genealogies, and, behold, they are written in the book of the Kings of Israel; but [the men of] Judah were carried away into exile to Babylon for their unfaithfulness.
Ούτω πας ο Ισραήλ απηριθμήθη κατά γενεαλογίας· και ιδού, είναι καταγεγραμμένοι εν τω βιβλίω των βασιλέων του Ισραήλ και Ιούδα. Μετωκίσθησαν δε εις την Βαβυλώνα διά τας ανομίας αυτών.
2 And the first inhabitants that [dwelt again] in their possessions in their cities, were the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the temple-servants.
Και οι πρώτοι κάτοικοι οι εν ταις ιδιοκτησίαις αυτών, εν ταις πόλεσιν αυτών, ήσαν οι Ισραηλίται, οι ιερείς, οι Λευΐται και οι Νεθινείμ.
3 And in Jerusalem dwelt some of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Menasseh.
Και εν Ιερουσαλήμ κατώκησαν εκ των υιών Ιούδα και εκ των υιών Βενιαμίν και εκ των υιών Εφραΐμ και Μανασσή,
4 'Uthai the son of 'Ammihud, the son of 'Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.
Γουθαΐ ο υιός του Αμμιούδ, υιού του Αμρί, υιού του Ιμρί, υιού του Βανί, εκ των υιών του Φαρές υιού του Ιούδα.
5 And of the Shilonites: 'Assayah the first-born, and his sons.
Και εκ των Σηλωνιτών, Ασαΐας ο πρωτότοκος και οι υιοί αυτού.
6 And of the sons of Zerach: Je'uel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
Και εκ των υιών του Ζερά, Ιεουήλ και οι αδελφοί αυτών, εξακόσιοι ενενήκοντα.
7 And of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodavyah, the son of Hassenuah,
Και εκ των υιών Βενιαμίν, Σαλλού ο υιός του Μεσουλλάμ, υιού του Ωδουΐα, υιού του Ασενουά,
8 And Yibneyah the son of Jerocham, and Elah the son of 'Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatyah, the son of Re'uel, the son of Yibniyah;
και ο Ιεβνιά υιός του Ιεροάμ, και ο Ηλά υιός του Οζί, υιού του Μιχρί, και ο Μεσουλλάμ υιός του Σεφατία, υιού του Ραγουήλ, υιού του Ιβνιά·
9 And their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were chiefs of the divisions of their family divisions.
και οι αδελφοί αυτών, κατά τας γενεάς αυτών, εννεακόσιοι πεντήκοντα εξ. Πάντες ούτοι οι άνδρες ήσαν αρχηγοί πατριών, κατά τους πατρικούς οίκους αυτών.
10 And of the priests: Jeda'yah, and Jehoyarib, and Jachin.
Και εκ των ιερέων, Ιεδαΐας και Ιωϊαρείβ και Ιαχείν
11 And 'Azaryah the son of Chilkiyah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Merayoth, the son of Actitub, the ruler of the house of God.
και Αζαρίας ο υιός του Χελκία, υιού του Μεσουλλάμ, υιού του Σαδώκ, υιού του Μεραϊώθ, υιού του Αχιτώβ, άρχων του οίκου του Θεού·
12 And 'Adayah the son of Jerocham, the son of Pashchur, the son of Malkiyah, and Ma'sai the son of 'Adiel, the son of Jachzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer:
και Αδαΐας ο υιός του Ιεροάμ, υιού του Πασχώρ, υιού του Μαλχίου, και Μαασαί ο υιός του Αδιήλ, υιού του Ιαζηρά, υιού του Μεσουλλάμ, υιού του Μεσιλλεμίθ, υιού του Ιμμήρ·
13 And their brethren, chiefs of their family divisions, were one thousand and seven hundred and sixty, very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.
και οι αδελφοί αυτών, αρχηγοί των πατρικών οίκων αυτών, χίλιοι επτακόσιοι εξήκοντα, δυνατοί εν ισχύϊ, άξιοι διά το έργον της υπηρεσίας του οίκου του Κυρίου.
14 And of the Levites: Shema'yah the son of Chasshub, the son of 'Azrikam, the son of Chashabyah, of the sons of Merari;
και εκ των Λευϊτών, Σεμαΐας ο υιός του Ασσούβ, υιού του Αζρικάμ, υιού του Ασαβία, εκ των υιών Μεραρί·
15 And Bakbakkar, Cheresh, and Galal, and Matthanyah the son of Micha, the son of Zichri, the son of Assaph;
και Βακβακάρ, Ερές και Γαλάλ και Ματθανίας ο υιός του Μιχά, υιού του Ζιχρί, υιού του Ασάφ·
16 And 'Obadiah the son of Shema'yah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechyah the son of Assa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
και Οβαδία ο υιός του Σεμαΐα, υιού του Γαλάλ, υιού του Ιεδουθούν, και Βαραχίας ο υιός του Ασά, υιού του Ελκανά, ο κατοικήσας εν ταις κώμαις των Νετωφαθιτών.
17 And the gatekeepers were Shallum, and 'Akkub, and Talmon, and Achiman, and their brethren, Shallum being the chief;
οι δε θυρωροί ήσαν Σαλλούμ και Ακχούβ και Ταλμών και Αχιμάν και οι αδελφοί αυτών· ο Σαλλούμ ήτο ο άρχων·
18 And up to this time they are in the king's gate to the eastward: they are the gatekeepers for the camps of the children of Levi.
ούτοι μέχρι του νυν ήσαν εν τη πύλη του βασιλέως κατά ανατολάς θυρωροί κατά τα τάγματα των υιών του Λευΐ.
19 And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebyassaph, the son of Korach, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korchites, being over the work of the service, were the watchmen at the threshold of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the camp of the Lord, were the watchmen at the entrance [thereof].
Και Σαλλούμ ο υιός του Κωρή, υιού του Εβιασάφ, υιού του Κορέ, και οι αδελφοί αυτού, εκ του οίκου του πατρός αυτού, οι Κορίται, ήσαν επί το έργον της υπηρεσίας, φύλακες των πυλών της σκηνής· και οι πατέρες αυτών, εν τω στρατοπέδω του Κυρίου, ήσαν φύλακες της εισόδου.
20 And Phinehas the son of El'azar was the ruler over them in times past; [and] the Lord was with him.
Και Φινεές ο υιός του Ελεάζαρ, μετά του οποίου ήτο ο Κύριος, ήτο άρχων επ' αυτούς το πρότερον.
21 [And] Zechariah the son of Meshelemyah was gatekeeper at the entrance of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Ζαχαρίας ο υιός του Μεσελεμία ήτο πυλωρός της θύρας της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου.
22 All of these selected to be gatekeepers at the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were recorded according to their genealogy in their villages; [and they were] those [whom] David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their trust.
Πάντες ούτοι, οι εκλελεγμένοι διά να ήναι πυλωροί των θυρών, ήσαν διακόσιοι δώδεκα. Ούτοι ήσαν απηριθμημένοι κατά γενεαλογίας εν ταις κώμαις αυτών, τους οποίους ο Δαβίδ και ο Σαμουήλ ο βλέπων είχον καταστήσει εις το υπούργημα αυτών.
23 Both they and their children had the oversight over the gates of the house of the Lord, [namely, ] the house of the tabernacle, as watches.
Και αυτοί και οι υιοί αυτών είχον την επιστασίαν των πυλών του οίκου του Κυρίου, του οίκου της σκηνής, διά να φυλάττωσι.
24 On four quarters were the gatekeepers, toward the east, the west, the north, and the south.
προς τους τέσσαρας ανέμους ήσαν οι πυλωροί, προς ανατολάς, προς δυσμάς, προς βορράν και προς νότον.
25 And their brethren, who were in their villages, had to come after every seven days from time to time in common with these.
Και οι αδελφοί αυτών, οι εν ταις κώμαις αυτών, έπρεπε να έρχωνται κατά επτά ημέρας εις τους διωρισμένους καιρούς μετά τούτων.
26 For in [their] trust were these four chief gatekeepers— these Levites, and they were [appointed] over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
Διότι οι Λευΐται ούτοι, οι τέσσαρες αρχιπύλωροι, έμενον εις το υπούργημα αυτών και είχον την επιστασίαν των οικημάτων και των θησαυρών του οίκου του Θεού.
27 And they lodged round about the house of God; because upon them rested the duty of watching, and they had the supervision of the opening thereof each and every morning.
Και διενυκτέρευον πέριξ του οίκου του Θεού, διότι η φυλακή ήτο επ' αυτούς, και αυτοί έπρεπε να ανοίγωσιν αυτόν καθ' εκάστην πρωΐαν.
28 And some of them had the charge of the vessels for the service; for by number did they bring them in, and by number did they carry them out.
Και τινές εξ αυτών είχον την επιστασίαν των λειτουργικών σκευών, διότι κατά αριθμόν εισέφερον αυτά και κατά αριθμόν εξέφερον αυτά.
29 Some of them also were appointed over the vessels, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
Εξ αυτών έτι ήσαν διωρισμένοι επί των άλλων σκευών και επί πάντων των σκευών των ιερών και επί της σεμιδάλεως και του οίνου και του ελαίου και του θυμιάματος και των αρωμάτων.
30 And some of the sons of the priests prepared the mixture of the spices.
Και τινές εκ των υιών των ιερέων κατεσκεύαζον το μύρον το αρωματικόν.
31 And Matthithyah, one of the Levites, who was the first-born of Shallum the Korchite, had the trust over the meat-offerings that were baked in the pans.
Και Ματταθίας, ο εκ των Λευϊτών, ο πρωτότοκος Σαλλούμ του Κορίτου, είχε την επιστασίαν των τηγανιζομένων πραγμάτων.
32 And others of their brethren, of the sons of the Kehathites, were over the orders of the shew-bread, to prepare it every sabbath.
Και άλλοι εκ των αδελφών αυτών, εκ των υιών των Κααθιτών, ήσαν επί των άρτων της προθέσεως, διά να ετοιμάζωσιν αυτούς κατά σάββατον.
33 But these the singers, the chiefs of the divisions of the Levites, remained in the chambers free of service; for day and night were they obliged to engage in that work.
Και εκ τούτων ήσαν οι ψαλτωδοί, αρχηγοί πατριών των Λευϊτών, οίτινες έμενον εν τοις οικήμασιν ελεύθεροι· διότι ενησχολούντο εις το έργον τούτο ημέραν και νύκτα.
34 These are the chiefs of the divisions of the Levites, being the chiefs for their generations: these dwelt at Jerusalem.
ούτοι ήσαν οι αρχηγοί των πατριών των Λευϊτών, κατά τας γενεάς αυτών· ούτοι οι αρχηγοί κατώκουν εν Ιερουσαλήμ.
35 And in Gib'on dwelt the father of Gib'on, Je'iel; and the name of his wife was Ma'achah;
Και εν Γαβαών κατώκησεν ο πατήρ Γαβαών, ο Ιεχιήλ, το δε όνομα της γυναικός αυτού ήτο Μααχά·
36 And his first-born son was 'Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Ba'al, and Ner, and Nadab,
και ο πρωτότοκος αυτού υιός ήτο Αβδών, έπειτα Σούρ και Κείς και Βάαλ και Νηρ και Ναδάβ
37 And Gedor, and Achyo, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
και Γεδώρ και Αχιώ και Ζαχαρίας και Μικλώθ·
38 And Mikloth begat Shimam. And they also dwelt alongside of their brethren at Jerusalem, with their brethren.
και ο Μικλώθ εγέννησε τον Σιμεάμ. Και ούτοι έτι κατώκησαν μετά των αδελφών αυτών εν Ιερουσαλήμ, αντικρύ των αδελφών αυτών.
39 And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jehonathan, and Malki-shua', and Abinadab, and Eshba'al.
Και ο Νηρ εγέννησε τον Κείς, και ο Κείς εγέννησε τον Σαούλ, και ο Σαούλ εγέννησε τον Ιωνάθαν και τον Μαλχί-σουέ και τον Αβιναδάβ και τον Εσ-βαάλ.
40 And the son of Jehonathan was Merib-ba'al: and Merib-ba'al begat Michah.
Και ο υιός του Ιωνάθαν ήτο ο Μερίβ-βαάλ· και ο Μερίβ-βαάλ εγέννησε τον Μιχά.
41 And the sons of Michah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Thachrea'.
Και οι υιοί του Μιχά ήσαν Φιθών και Μελέχ και Θαρεά,
42 And Achaz begat Ja'rah; and Ja'rah begat 'Alemeth, 'Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;
και Άχαζ ο γεννήσας τον Ιαρά· και Ιαρά εγέννησε τον Αλεμέθ, και τον Αζμαβέθ και τον Ζιμβρί· και Ζιμβρί εγέννησε τον Μοσά.
43 And Moza begat Bin'a; ! and Rephayah his son, El'assah his son, Azel his son.
και Μοσά εγέννησε τον Βινεά· και Ρεφαΐα ήτο υιός τούτου. ο Ελεασά υιός τούτου· Ασήλ υιός τούτου.
44 And Azel had six sons, and these are their names, 'Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and She'aryah, and 'Obadiah, and Chanan: these were the sons of Azel.
Ο δε Ασήλ είχεν εξ υιούς, των οποίων τα ονόματα είναι ταύτα· Αζρικάμ, Βοχερού και Ισμαήλ και Σεαρία και Οβαδία και Ανάν· ούτοι ήσαν οι υιοί του Ασήλ.
