1 Chronicles 6
1 The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kehath, and Merari.

5 And Abishua' begat Bukki, and Bukki begat 'Uzzi,

6 And 'Uzzi begat Zerachyah, and Zerachyah begat Merayoth,
Uzzi loh Zerahiah a sak, Zerahiah loh Meraioth a sak.
7 Merayoth begat Amaryah, and Amaryah begat Achitub,
Meraioth loh Amariah a sak, Amariah loh Ahitub a sak.
8 And Achitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Achima'az,
Ahitub loh Zadok a sak, Zadok loh Ahimaaz a sak.
9 And Achima'az begat 'Azaryah, and 'Azaryah begat Jochanan,
Ahimaaz loh Azariah a sak, Azariah loh Johanan a sak.
10 And Jochanan begat 'Azaryah, he it is that officiated as priest in the house that Solomon had built in Jerusalem;

11 And 'Azaryah begat Amaryah, and Amaryah begat Achitub,

13 And Shallum begat Chilkiyah, and Chilkiyah begat 'Azaryah,

14 And 'Azaryah begat Serayah, and Serayah begat Jehozadak,
Azariah loh Seraiah a sak tih Seraiah loh Jehozadak a sak.
15 And Jehozadak went away, when the Lord carried Judah and Jerusalem into exile through the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

16 The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kehath, and Merari.

17 And these are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni, and Shim'i.
Gershom koca rhoek kah ming he tah Libni neh Shimei.
18 And the sons of Kehath were, 'Amram, and Yizhar, and Chebron, and 'Uzziel.
Kohath koca rhoek ah Amram, Izhar, Hebron neh Uzziel.
19 The sons of Merari: Machli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.

20 Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jachath his son, Zimmah his son,
Gershom koca ah Gershom capa Libni, Libni capa Jahath, Jahath capa Zimmah.
21 Yoach his son, 'Iddo his son, Zerach his son, Yeatherai his son.
Zimmah capa Joah, Joah capa Iddo, Iddo capa Zerah, Zerah capa Jeatherai.
22 The sons of Kehath: 'Amminadab his son, Korach his son, Assir his son,

23 Elkanah his son, and Ebyassaph his son, and Assir his son,

25 And the sons of Elkanah: 'Amassai, and Achimoth,

26 [And] Elkanah. The sons of Elkanah: Zophai his son, and Nachath his son.

Nahath capa Eliab, Eliab capa Jeroham, Jeroham capa Elkanah.
28 And the sons of Samuel: the first-born Vashni, and Abiyah.

29 The sons of Merari: Machli, Libni his son, Shim'i his son, 'Uzzah his son,
Merari koca ah Mahli capa Libni, Libni capa Shimei, Shimei capa Uzzah.
30 Shim'a his son, Chaggiyah his son, 'Assayah his son.
Uzzah capa Shimea, Shimea capa Haggiah, Haggiah capa Asaiah.
31 And these are those whom David appointed for the purpose of conducting the singing in the house of the Lord, after the ark had a resting-place.

32 And they ministered before the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation with singing, until Solomon built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem; and they acted according to their prescribed manner in their service.

33 And these are those that so acted with their sons. Of the sons of the Kehathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel,

34 The son of Elkanah, the son of Jerocham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toach,

35 The son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Machath, the son of 'Amassai,
Zuph capa Toa, Elkanah capa Zuph, Mahath capa Elkanah, Amasai capa Mahath.
36 The son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of 'Azaryah, the son of Zephanyah,
Elkanah capa Amasai, Joel capa Elkanah, Azariah capa Joel, Zephaniah capa Azariah.
37 The son of Tachath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebyassaph, the son of Korach,
Tahath capa Zephaniah, Assir capa Tahath, Ebiasaph capa Assir, Korah capa Ebiasaph.
38 The son of Yizhar, the son of Kehath, the son at Levi, the son of Israel.

39 And his relative Assaph was he, who stood on his right hand, [even] Assaph the son of Berachyah, the son of Shim'a,

43 The son of Jachath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.

44 And their brethren the sons of Merari [stood] on the left hand: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of 'Abdi, the son of Malluch,

48 And their brethren the Levites were superadded for all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

51 Bukki his son, 'Uzzi his son, Zerachyah his son,

52 Merayoth his son, Amaryah his son, Achitub his son,
Zerahiah capa Meraioth, Meraioth capa Amariah, Amariah capa Ahitub.
53 Zadok his son, Achima'az his son.

54 And these are their dwelling-places with their castles in their boundaries; unto the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kehathites; for theirs was the [first] lot, —

55 And they gave unto them Hebron in the land of Judah, with its open spaces round about it.

56 But the fields of the city, and its villages, they gave to Caleb the son Jephunneh.

57 And to the sons of Aaron they gave [of] the cities of refuge Hebron, and Libnah with its open spaces, and Jattir, and Eshthemoa, with its open spaces.
Aaron koca taengah hlipyingnah khopuei ham a paek rhoek tah, Hebron, Libnah neh a khocaak, Jattir, Eshtmoa neh a khocaak.
58 And Chilen with its open spaces, Debir with its open spaces,
Hilen neh a khocaak, Debir neh a khocaak.
59 And 'Ashan with its open spaces, and Beth-shemesh with its open spaces.
Ashan neh a khocaak, Bethshemesh neh a khocaak.
60 And from the tribe of Benjamin, Geba' with its open spaces, and 'Alemeth with its open spaces, and 'Anathoth with its open spaces. And all their cities were thirteen cities after their families.

61 And unto the sons of Kehath that were left of the family of that tribe, [were given] from the half tribe, the half tribe of Menasseh, by lot, ten cities.
Amah koca huiko kah aka coih Kohath ca rhoek te khaw Manasseh hlangvang kah koca rhakthuem taeng lamkah te hmulung bangla khopuei parha a yo.
62 And to the sons or Gershom after their families, from the tribe of Issachar, and from the tribe of Asher, and from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the tribe of Menasseh in Bashan, [were given] thirteen cities.
Gershom koca te khaw amamih cako tarhing ah, Issakhar koca taeng lamkah, Asher koca taeng lamkah, Naphtali koca taeng lamkah neh Manasseh koca taeng lamkah te Bashan ah kho hlai thum a yo.
63 Unto the sons of Merari after their families, from the tribe of Reuben, and from the tribe of Gad, and from the tribe of Zebulun, [were given] by lot, twelve cities.
Merari koca te amamih cako tarhing ah Reuben koca lamkah, Gad koca lamkah, Zebulun koca lamkah te hmulung vanbangla kho hlai nit.
64 And the children of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their open spaces.
Te tlam te Israel ca rhoek loh Levi taengah khopuei neh a khocaak te a paek uh.
65 And they gave by lot from the tribe of the children of Judah, and from the tribe of the children of Simeon, and from the tribe of the children of Benjamin these cities, which they called by names.
hmulung bangla Judah capa koca taeng lamkah khaw, Simeon capa koca taeng lamkah khaw, Benjamin capa koca taeng lamkah khaw a paek tih te khopuei rhoek te a ming neh a khue uh.
66 And some of the families of the sons of Kehath had the cities of their territory from the tribe of Ephraim.
Kohath capa koca lamkah neh Ephraim koca lamkah khopuei khaw amih kah khorhi khui la om.
67 And they gave unto them, [of] the cities of refuge Sechem with its open spaces in the mountain of Ephraim, and Gezer with its open spaces.
Amih taengah hlipyingnah khopuei la a paek uh tah, Shekhem neh Ephraim tlang kah a khocaak khaw, Gezer neh a khocaak khaw,
68 And Jokme'am with its open spaces, and Beth-choron with its open spaces,
Jokmeam neh a khocaak, Bethhoron neh a khocaak.
69 And Ayalon with its open spaces, and Gath-rimmon with its open spaces.
Aijalon neh a khocaak, Gathrimmon neh a khocaak.
70 And from the half tribe of Menasseh: 'Aner with its open spaces: and Bil'am with its open spaces, for the family of the remaining portion of the sons of Kehath.
Manasseh koca hlangvang lamloh Aner neh a khocaak, Balaam neh a khocaak te Kohath koca kah huiko aka coih taengla a paek.
71 Unto the sons of Gershom [were given] from the family of the half tribe of Menasseh, Golan in Bashan with its open spaces, and 'Ashtaroth with its open spaces.
Gershom ca rhoek taengah Manasseh koca hlangvang cako lamloh Bashan kah Golan neh a khocaak, Ashtaroth neh a khocaak.
72 And from the tribe of Issachar: Kedesh with its open spaces, Dobrath with its open spaces,
Issakhar koca lamloh Kedesh neh a khocaak rhoek, Daberath neh a khocaak,
73 And Ramoth with its open spaces, and 'Anem with its open spaces.
Ramoth neh a khocaak, Anem neh a khocaak.
74 And from the tribe of Asher: Mashal with its open spaces, and 'Abdon with its open spaces,
Asher koca lamloh Mashal neh a khocaak, Abdon neh a khocaak.
75 And Chukok with its open spaces, and Rechob with its open spaces.
Hukkuk neh a khocaak, Rehob neh a khocaak.
76 And from the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee with its open spaces, and Chammon with its open spaces, and Kiryathayim with its open spaces.
Naphtali koca lamloh Galilee kah Kedesh neh a khocaak, Hammon neh a khocaak, Kiriathaim neh a khocaak.
77 Unto the remaining portion of the children of Merari [were given] from the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono with its open spaces, Tabor with its open spaces.
Merari koca aka coih te Zebulun koca lamloh Rimmon neh a khocaak, Tabor neh a khocaak.
78 And on the other side the Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of Jordan, from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with its open spaces, and Jahzah with its open spaces,
Jordan khocuk ah Jerikho kah Jordan rhalvangan, Reuben koca lamloh khosoek kah Bezer neh a khocaak, Jahzah neh a khocaak.
79 And Kedemoth with its open spaces, and Mepha'ath with its open spaces.
Kedemoth neh a khocaak, Mephaath neh a khocaak.
80 And from the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gila'd with its open spaces, and Machanayim with its open spaces.
Gad koca lamloh Gilead kah Ramoth neh a khocaak, Mahanaim neh a khocaak.
81 And Cheshbon with its open spaces, and Ja'azer with its open spaces.
Heshbon neh a khocaak, Jazer neh a khocaak te a paek.
