1 Chronicles 26
1 Concerning the divisions of the gatekeepers [who were] of the Korchites: Meshelemyahu the son of Kore, of the sons of Assaph.
Quant aux classes des portiers, des Coraïtes: Méselmia, fils de Coré, d'entre les fils d'Asaph;
2 And Meshelemyahu had sons: Zecharyahu the first-born, Jedi'ael the second, Zebaiyahu the third, Jathniel the fourth,
et les fils de Méselmia: Zacharie, le premier-né, Jediaël, le second, Zebadia, le troisième, Jathniel, le quatrième,
3 Elam the fifth, Jehochanan the sixth, Elyeho'enal the seventh,
Eilam, le cinquième, Jochanan, le sixième, Elioeinaï, le septième;
4 And 'Obed-edom had sons: Shema'yah the first-born, Jehosabad the second, Joach the third, and Sachar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,
et les fils d'Obed-Edom: Semaïa, le premier-né, Jozabad, le second, Joah, le troisième, et Sachar, le quatrième, et Nethaneël, le cinquième,
5 'Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Pe'ulthai the eighth; for God had blessed him.
Ammiel, le sixième, Issaschar, le septième, Pehultaï, le huitième, car Dieu l'avait béni.
6 Also unto Shema'yah his son there were born sons, that were rulers for the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.
Et à Semaïa, son fils, naquirent aussi des fils, princes dans la maison de leur père car c'étaient des hommes vaillants;
7 The sons of Shema'yah were 'Othni, and Rephael, and 'Obed, [and] Elsahad, his brothers [were] valiant men, Elihu, and Semachyahu.
fils de Semaïa: Othni et Rephaël et Obed, Edom, son frère, hommes vaillants, Elihu et Semachia.
8 All these were of the sons of 'Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren were valiant men in strength for the service, being sixty and two [descendants] of 'Obed-edom.
Tous ils étaient fils d'Obd-Edom; eux et leurs fils et frères étaient des hommes énergiques pour le service, soixante-deux issus d'Obed-Edom.
9 And Meshelemyahu had sons and brethren, valiant men, eighteen.
Et les fils et frères de Méselmia, hommes vaillants, étaient au nombre de dix-huit.
10 Also Chossah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, for [though] he was not the first-born, yet his father made him the chief;
Et les fils de Hosa, des fils de Merari: Simri le chef (non qu'il fût le premier-né, mais son père l'avait fait chef),
11 Chilkiyahu the second, Tehalyahu the third, Zecharyahu the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Chossah were thirteen.
Hilkia, le second, Tebalia, le troisième, Zacharie, le quatrième; tous les fils et frères de Hosa étaient au nombre de treize.
12 These divisions of the gatekeepers, after the chief men, had the watch along with their brethren, to minister in the house of the Lord.
A ces classes de portiers, c'est-à-dire, aux chefs de ces hommes échut conjointement avec leurs frères la garde de service dans le Temple de l'Éternel.
13 And they cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their family divisions, for each and every gate.
Et ils tirèrent au sort, petits et grands, selon leurs maisons patriarcales, chacune des portes.
14 And the lot at the east fell for Shelemyahu. And for Zecharyahu his son, an intelligent counsellor, they cast lots, and his lot came out at the north.
Et le côté du Levant échut a Sélémia; et pour Zacharie, son fils, prudent conseiller, ils tirèrent aussi au sort, et il eut pour lot le Septentrion,
15 For 'Obed-edom at the south; and to his sons [was assigned] the house of Assuppim.
le Midi fut pour Obed-Edom et pour ses fils, près des magasins,
16 For Shuppim and for Chossah at the west, by the gate Shallecheth, on the ascending causeway, watch alongside of watch.
pour Suppim et Hosa le Couchant, à la porte Sallécheth, où la voie monte, une garde étant à l'opposite de l'autre.
17 At the east were six Levites, at the north four for every day, at the south four for every day, and for [the house of] Assuppim always two.
L'Orient était gardé par six Lévites, le Nord journellement par quatre, le Midi journellement par quatre et les magasins par deux alternativement;
18 At the Parbar on the west, four at the causeway, and two at the Parbar.
au portique ouvert du couchant quatre sur la rue, deux près du portique.
19 These are the divisions of the gatekeepers of the sons of the Korchites, and of the sons of Merari.
Telles sont les classes des portiers pris dans les fils des Coraïtes et dans les fils des Merarites.
20 And of the Levites, Achiyah was over the treasuries of the house of God, and over the treasuries of the holy things.
Et parmi les Lévites, Ahia était préposé sur les trésors de la Maison de Dieu et sur les trésors des objets consacrés.
21 [As concerning] the sons of La'dan, the sons of the Gershunites of La'dan, the chiefs of the families of La'dan the Gershunite, were the Jechielites.
Les fils de Laëdan, des fils des Gersonites de Laëdan, patriarches [de la race de] Laëdan, le Gersonite Jehièli;
22 The sons of Jechieli, Zetham, and Joel his brother, were over the treasuries of the house of the Lord.
les fils de Jehièli, Zétham et Joël, son frère, étaient préposés sur les trésors du Temple de l'Éternel.
23 Of the 'Amramites, of the Yizharites, of the Hebronites, and of the 'Uzzielites,
Des Amramites, des Jitseharites, des Hébronites, des Azzièlites.
24 [Was] even Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, superintendent of the treasuries.
Et Sebuel, fils de Gersom, fils de Moïse, était surintendant des trésors.
25 And his brethren by Eli'ezer: Rechabyahu his son, and Jesha'yahu his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.
Et ses frères par Éliézer: lequel eut pour fils Rehabia, dont le fils fut Ésaïe qui eut pour fils Joram, dont le fils fut Sichri qui eut pour fils Salomith:
26 This Shelomoth and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the holy things, which king David had sanctified, together with the chiefs of the family divisions, the captains over the thousands and the hundreds, and the captains of the army.
ce Salomith et ses frères avaient l'intendance de tous les trésors des objets consacrés qu'avaient consacrés le roi David et les patriarches, les chefs de mille et de cent et les généraux de l'armée;
27 Out of the wars, and out of the booty did they sanctify to maintain the house of the Lord.
c'est à la suite des guerres et sur le butin qu'ils les avaient consacrés comme réserve pour le Temple de l'Éternel;
28 And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruyah, had sanctified, whatsoever [any one] had sanctified, was under the supervision of Shelomoth and of his brethren.
et tout ce qui avait été consacré par Samuel, le Voyant, et par Saül, fils de Kis, et par Abner, fils de Ner, et par Joab, fils de Tseruïa, tous les objets consacrés étaient commis à Salomith et ses frères.
29 Of the Yizharites were Kenanyahu and his sons for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
Parmi les Jitseharites Chenania et ses fils étaient pour les affaires extérieures, préposés sur Israël comme Secrétaires et Juges.
30 Of the Hebronites were Chashabyahu and his brethren, valiant men, a thousand and seven hundred [in number], appointed over the affairs of Israel on this side of the Jordan to the west, for all the business of the Lord, and for the service of the king.
Parmi les Hébronites Hasabia et ses frères, hommes de ressource, au nombre de mille sept cents, avaient l'intendance d'Israël en deçà du Jourdain au couchant pour toutes les affaires de l'Éternel et le service du roi.
31 Of the Hebronites was Jeriyah the chief, for the Hebronites, according to their generations by families. In the fortieth year of the reign of David were they inquired into, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Ja'zer of Gil'ad.
Parmi les Hébronites était Jeria le chef des Hébronites selon leurs familles et maisons patriarcales. (Dans la quarantième année du règne de David recherche en fut faite, et il se trouva parmi eux de vaillants héros à Jaëzer en Galaad).
32 And his brethren, valiant men, were two thousand and seven hundred chiefs of families: and king David appointed them over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and the affairs of the king.
Et ses frères, hommes de ressource, étaient au nombre de deux mille sept cents, patriarches. Et le roi David les préposa sur les Rubénites et les Gadites et la demi-Tribu de Manassé pour toutes les affaires de Dieu et les affaires du roi.
