1 Chronicles 25
1 David also divided off with the chiefs of the host for the service of the sons of Assaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, those who uttered praise [accompanied] with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and their number was of the men [that did] the work in their service.
David y los jefes del ejército separaron para el culto a los que de entre los hijos de Asaf, de Hemán y de Jedutún tenían que ejercer la música sacra con cítaras, salterios y címbalos. He aquí el número de los hombres que hacían esto en su ministerio:
2 Of the sons of Assaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethanyah, and Asharelah, the sons of Assaph under the supervision of Assaph, who uttered praise under the supervision of the king.
De los hijos de Asaf: Zacur, José, Netanías y Asarela, hijos de Asaf, bajo la dirección de Asaf, que ejercía su ministerio según las órdenes del rey.
3 Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedalyahu, and Zeri, and Jesha'yahu, Chashahyahu, and Matthithyahu, six, under the supervision of their father Jeduthun, who uttered praise with a harp, in order to give thanks and to utter praise unto the Lord.
De Jedutún: los hijos de Jedutún: Gedalías, Serí, Isaías, Hasabías, Matatías (y Simeí), seis, bajo la dirección de su padre Jedutún, que cantaba con la cítara para celebrar y alabar a Yahvé.
4 Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiyahu, Matthanyahu, 'Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Chananyah, Chanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-'ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Machaz'oth;
De Hemán: los hijos de Hemán: Bukías, Matanías, Uciel, Sebuel, Jerimot, Hananías, Hananí, Eliata, Gidalti, Romamtiéser, Josbecasa, Malloti, Hotir y Mahasiot.
5 All these sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, were to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
Todos estos eran hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey en las cosas de Dios para ensalzar su poder. Dios había dado a Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.
6 All these were under the supervision of their father at the singing in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, under the supervision of the king, Assaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
Todos estos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre en el canto de la Casa de Yahvé, con címbalos, salterios y cítaras para cumplir su ministerio en la Casa de Dios. Asaf, Jedutún y Hemán estaban a las órdenes del rey.
7 And their number, with their brethren that were practised in singing unto the Lord, even all that were acquainted [therewith], was two hundred eighty and eight.
El número de ellos, con sus hermanos, los que eran instruidos en el canto de Yahvé, todos ellos maestros, era de doscientos ochenta y ocho.
8 And they cast lots, division against [division], the small well as the great, the one acquainted with his business together with the scholar.
Echaron suertes para (determinar) sus funciones, sobre pequeños y grandes, hábiles y menos hábiles.
9 And there came forth the first lot for Assaph for Joseph; Gedalyahu was the second, he with his brethren and sons, being twelve:
Salió la primera suerte de (la casa de) Asaf: para José, la segunda para Gedalías, para él, sus hermanos e hijos: doce;
10 The third was Zaccur, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:
la tercera para Zacur, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
11 The fourth was for Yizri, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la cuarta para Isrí, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
12 The fifth was Nethanyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:
la quinta para Netanías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
13 The sixth was Bukkiyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:
la sexta para Bukías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
14 The seventh was Jessarelah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la séptima para Jesarela, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
15 The eighth was Jesha'yahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la octava para Isaías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
16 The ninth was Matthanyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la nona, para Matanías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
17 The tenth was Shim'i, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la décima para Simeí, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
18 The eleventh was 'Asarel, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la undécima para Asarel, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
19 The twelfth was for Chashahyah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la duodécima para Hasabías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
20 The thirteenth was Shuhael, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la decimotercia para Subael, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
21 The fourteenth was Matthithyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la decimocuarta para Matatías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
22 The fifteenth was for Jeremoth, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la decimoquinta para Jeremot, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
23 The sixteenth was for Chananyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la decimosexta para Hananías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
24 The seventeenth was for Joshbekashah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la decimoséptima para Josbecasa, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
25 The eighteenth was for Chanani, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la decimoctava para Hananí, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
26 The nineteenth was for Mallothi, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la decimonona para Malloti, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
27 The twentieth was for Eliyathah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la vigésima para Eliata, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
28 The one and twentieth was for Hothir, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la vigésimo prima para Hotir, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
29 The two and twentieth was for Giddalthi, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la vigesimosegunda para Gidalti, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
30 The three and twentieth was for Machasioth, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
la vigesimotercera para Mahasiot, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;
31 The four and twentieth was for Romamthi-'eser, his sons and his brethren, being twelve.
