1 Chronicles 24

1 And the divisions of the sons of Aaron were: The sons of Aaron were Nadab, and Abihu, El'azar, and Ithamar.

١ وَهَذِهِ هِيَ فِرَقُ الْكَهَنَةِ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ هرُونَ: أَوْلادُهُ نَادَابُ وَأَبِيهُو وَأَلِعَازَارُ وَإِيثَامَارُ.

2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and they had no children: and El'azar and Ithamar became priests.

٢ وَمَاتَ نَادَابُ وَأَبِيهُو قَبْلَ وَفَاةِ أَبِيهِمَا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يُعْقِبَا أَبْنَاءً، فَصَارَ أَلِعَازَارُ وَإِيثَامَارُ كَاهِنَيْنِ.

3 And David divided them off with Zadok of the sons of El'azar', and Achimelech of the sons of Ithamar, to their office in their service.

٣ وَقَسَمَ دَاوُدُ وَصَادُوقُ مِنْ نَسْلِ أَلِعَازَارَ وَأَخِيمَالِكُ مِنْ نَسْلِ إِيثَامَارَ، ذُرِّيَّةَ هرُونَ بِمُوْجِبِ الْخَدَمَاتِ الَّتِي أُوْكِلَتْ إِلَيْهِمْ.

4 And the sons of El'azar were found more numerous in the chiefs of males than the sons of Ithamar; and they divided them accordingly. Of the sons of El'azar there were sixteen chiefs of the family divisions, and of the sons of Ithamar, eight for their family divisions.

٤ وَإِذْ كَانَ قَادَةُ ذُرِّيَّةِ أَلِعَازَارَ أَكْثَرَ عَدَداً مِنْ قَادَةِ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِيثَامَارَ، تَمَّ تَقْسِيمُهُمْ وَفْقاً لأَعْدَادِهِمْ، فَكَانَ هُنَاكَ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ رَئِيساً لِبُيُوتِ ذُرِّيَّةِ أَلِعَازَارَ، وَثَمَانِيَةُ رُؤَسَاءَ لِبُيُوتِ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِيثَامَارَ.

5 And they divided them off by lot, both the first and the last; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors [of the house] of God, were from the sons of El'azar, and from the sons of Ithamar.

٥ وَقَسَمُوا الْفَرِيقَيْنِ بِالْقُرْعَةِ فَاخْتَلَطُوا مَعاً، وَأَصْبَحَ رُؤَسَاءُ الْقُدْسِ وَرُؤَسَاءُ بَيْتِ اللهِ يَتَشَكَّلُونَ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ أَلِعَازَارَ وِمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِيثَامَارَ.

6 And Shema'yah the son of Nethanel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Achimelech the son of Ebyathar, and the chiefs of the families of the priests and Levites: one family division being drawn of El'azar, and one being equally drawn of Ithamar.

٦ وَدَوَّنَ شَمَعْيَا بْنُ نَثَنْئِيلَ الكَاتِبُ مِنْ سِبْطِ لاوِي أَسْمَاءَهُمْ فِي حُضُورِ الْمَلِكِ وَالْقَادَةِ وَصَادُوقَ الكَاهِنِ وَأَخِيمَالِكَ بْنِ أَبِيَاثَارَ وَسِوَاهُمْ مِنْ رُؤَسَاءِ عَائِلاتِ الكَهَنَةِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ، فَاخْتِيرَتْ عَائِلَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي أَلِعَازَارَ، وَعَائِلَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ، مِنْ بَنِي إِيِثَامَارَ.

7 And there came out the first lot for Jehoyarib, for Jeda'yah the second,

٧ وَوَقَعَتِ القُرْعَةُ الأُولَى عِنْدَ إِلْقَائِهَا لِيَهُويَارِيبَ، وَالثَّانِيَةُ لِيَدْعِيَا.

8 For Charim the third, for Se'orim the fourth,

٨ وَالثَّالِثَةُ لِحَارِيمَ، وَالرَّابِعَةُ لِسَعُورِيمَ.

9 For Malkiyah the fifth, for Miyamin the sixth.

٩ وَالخَامِسَةُ لِمَلْكِيَّا، وَالسَّادِسَةُ لِمَيَّامِينَ.

10 For Hakkoz the seventh, for Abiyah the eighth,

١٠ وَالسَّابِعَةُ لِهُقُّوصَ، وَالثَّامِنَةُ لأَبِيَّا.

11 For Jeshua' the ninth, for Shechanyahu the tenth,

١١ وَالتَّاسِعَةُ لِيَشُوعَ، وَالعَاشِرَةُ لِشَكُنْيَا.

12 For Elyashib the eleventh, for Jakim the twelfth,

١٢ وَالحَادِيَةُ عَشْرَةَ لأَلِيَاشِيبَ، والثَّانِيَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِيَاقِيمَ.

13 For Chuppah the thirteenth, for Jeshehah the fourteenth,

١٣ وَالثَّالِثَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِحُفَّةَ، وَالرَّابِعَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِيَشَبْآبَ.

14 For Bilgah the fifteenth, for Immer the sixteenth,

١٤ وَالْخَامِسَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِبَلْحَةَ، وَالسَّادِسَةُ عَشْرَةَ لإِيمِيرَ.

15 For Chezir the seventeenth, for Happizzez the eighteenth,

١٥ وَالسَّابِعَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِحِيزِيرَ، وَالثَّامِنَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِهَفْصِيصَ.

16 For Pethachyah the nineteenth, for Ezekiel the twentieth.

١٦ وَالتَّاسِعَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِفَقَحْيَا، وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِيَحَزْقِيئِيلَ.

17 For Jachin the one and twentieth, for Gamul the two and twentieth,

١٧ وَالْحَادِيَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِيَاكِينَ، وَالثَّانِيَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِجَامُولَ.

18 For Delayahu the three and twentieth, for Ma'azyahu the four and twentieth.

١٨ وَالثَّالِثَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِدَلايَا، وَالرَّابِعَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِمَعَزْيَا.

19 This was their office in their service to come into the house of the Lord, according to the manner prescribed to them, under the supervision of Aaron their father, as the Lord the God of Israel had commanded him.

١٩ هَذَا كَانَ تَرْتِيبَ خَدَمَاتِهِمِ الَّتِي كُلِّفُوا بِها عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِمْ إِلَى بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ بِمُقْتَضَى الْمَرَاسِيمِ الَّتِي حَدَّدَهَا لَهُمْ جَدُّهُمُ الأَكْبَرُ هرُونُ، تَمَاماً كَمَا أَمَرَهُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

20 And of the rest of the sons of Levi there were, of the sons of 'Amram: Shubael. Of the sons of Shubael: Jechdeyahu.

٢٠ أَمَّا بَقِيَّةُ أَبْنَاءِ لاوِي فَهُمْ: مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ عَمْرَامَ: شُوبَائِيلُ، وَمِنْ أَبْنَاءِ شُوبَائِيلَ يَحَدْيَا.

21 Concerning Rechabyahu, of the sons of Rechabyahu the chief was Yishiyah.

٢١ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ رَحَبْيَا: الْبِكْرُ يَشِّيَّا.

22 Of the Yisharites was Shelomoth: of the sons of Shelomoth was Jachath.

٢٢ وَمِنَ الْيِصْهَارِيِّينَ: شَلُومُوثُ، وَمِنْ أَبْنَاءِ شَلُومُوثَ يَحَثُ.

23 And the sons [of Hebron]: Jeriyah, Amaryahu the second, Jachaziel the third, Jekam'am the fourth.

٢٣ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ حَبْرُونَ: يَرِيَّا الْبِكْرُ وَأَمَرْيَا الثَّانِي وَيَحْزِيئِيلُ الثَّالِثُ وَيَقْمَعَامُ الرَّابِعُ.

24 [Of] the sons of 'Uzziel, Michah: of the sons of Michah, Shamir.

٢٤ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ عُزِّيئِيلَ: مِيخَا، وَمِنْ أَبْنَاءِ مِيخَا: شَامُورُ.

25 The brother of Michah was Yishiyah; of the sons of Yishiyah, Zecharyahu.

٢٥ وَمِنْ أَبْنَاءِ يَشِّيَّا أَخِي مِيخَا: زَكَرِيَّا.

26 The sons of Merari were Machli and Mushi: the sons of Ja'aziyahu, Beno.

٢٦ أَمَّا أَبْناءُ مَرَارِي فَهُمْ: مَحْلِي وَمُوشِي، وَيَعَزْيَا.

27 The sons of Merari by Ja'aziyahu: Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and 'Ibri.

٢٧ وَكَانَ لِيَعَزْيَا بْنِ مَرَارِي أَبْنَاءٌ هُمْ: بَنُو وَشُوهَمُ وَزَكُّورُ وَعِبْرِي.

28 Of Machli: El'azar, who had no sons.

٢٨ وَلَمْ يُعْقِبْ أَلِعَازَارُ بْنُ مَحْلِي أَبْنَاءً.

29 Of Kish: The son of Kish was Jerachmeel.

٢٩ أَمَّا قَيْسُ فَأَنْجَبَ يَرْحَمْئِيلَ.

30 And the sons of Mushi were Machli, and 'Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their family divisions.

٣٠ وَأَبْنَاءُ مُوشِي: مَحْلِي وَعَادِرُ وَيَرِيمُوثُ. هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أَبْنَاءُ اللّاوِيِّينَ بِحَسَبِ تَرْتِيبِ بُيُوتَاتِ آبَائِهِمْ.

31 These likewise cast lots in the same manner as their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of king David, and Zadok, and Achimelech, and the chiefs of the families of the priests and Levites, even the principal of the families equally with his youngest brother.

٣١ وَأَلْقَوْا هُمْ أَيْضاً الْقُرْعَةَ عَلَى غِرَارِ أَقْرِبَائِهِمِ الْكَهَنَةِ ذُرِّيَّةِ هرُونَ فِي حُضُورِ دَاوُدَ الْمَلِكِ وَصَادُوقَ وَأَخِيمَالِكَ وَرُؤَسَاءِ عَائِلاتِ الْكَهَنَةِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ، لَا فَرْقَ فِي ذَلِكَ بَيْنَ رُؤَسَاءِ الْعَائِلاتِ وَبَقِيَّةِ أَقْرِبَائِهِمِ الأَصَاغِرِ.
