1 Chronicles 22
1 And David said, This is the house of the Lord the [true] God, and this is the altar for the burnt-offering for Israel.
| سپس داوود در کنار مذبحی که ساخته بود، ایستاد و گفت: «این همان جایی است که باید خانهٔ یهوه خدا بنا شود و این مذبح برای قربانیهای قوم اسرائیل خواهد بود.» |
2 And David ordered to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel: and he appointed [them] to be masons to hew cut stones to build the house of God.
| داوود تمام ساکنان غیریهودی اسرائیل را برای ساختن خانهٔ خدا به کار گرفت. از بین آنها افرادی را برای تراشیدن سنگ تعیین کرد. |
3 And iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings, did David prepare; and copper in abundance, [which] could not be weighed;
| او مقدار زیادی آهن تهیه کرد تا از آن میخ و گیره برای دروازه‌ها درست کنند. او همچنین به قدری مفرغ تهیه کرد که نمی‌شد آن را وزن نمود! |
4 Also cedar-trees [which] could not be counted; for the Zidonians and the Tyrians had brought cedar-trees in abundance to David.
| مردان صور و صیدون نیز تعداد بیشماری الوار سرو برای داوود آوردند. |
5 And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built [in honor] of the Lord must be exceedingly great, for fame and for glory throughout all the countries: I will therefore make preparation for it. So David made abundant preparation before his death.
| داوود گفت: «پسرم سلیمان، جوان و کم‌تجربه است و خانهٔ خداوند باید پرشکوه و در دنیا معروف و بی‌نظیر باشد. بنابراین، من از حالا برای بنای آن تدارک می‌بینم.» پس داوود پیش از وفاتش، مصالح ساختمانی زیادی را فراهم ساخت |
6 And he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for the Lord the God of Israel.
| و به پسر خود سلیمان سفارش کرد خانه‌ای برای خداوند، خدای اسرائیل بنا کند. |
7 And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house unto the name of the Lord my God;
| داوود به سلیمان گفت: «ای پسرم، من خودم می‌خواستم خانه‌ای برای نام یهوه، خدای خود بسازم، |
8 But there came concerning me the word of the Lord, saying, Blood in abundance hast thou shed, and great wars hast thou made: thou shalt not build a house unto my name, because much blood hast thou shed upon the earth before me.
| اما خداوند به من فرمود: تو خونهای بسیار ریخته‌ای و جنگهای بزرگ کرده‌ای، پس نمی‌توانی خانه‌ای برای نام من بسازی، زیرا دستت به خون انسانهای زیادی آلوده شده است. |
9 Behold, a son will be born to thee, he it is who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for Solomon [[The Peaceful]] shall be his name, and peace and quietness will I bestow on Israel in his days.
| ولی او به من وعده داده، فرمود: پسری به تو می‌دهم که مردی صلح‌جو خواهد بود و من شر تمام دشمنان را از سر او کم خواهم کرد. نام او سلیمان یعنی”صلح“خواهد بود. در طی سلطنت او به قوم اسرائیل صلح و آرامش خواهم بخشید. |
10 He it is who shall build a house unto my name; and he shall be unto me as a son, and I will be unto him as a father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
| او خانه‌ای برای من بنا خواهد کرد. او پسر من و من پدر او خواهم بود، و پسران و نسل او را تا به ابد بر تخت سلطنت اسرائیل خواهم نشاند. |
11 Now, my son, may the Lord be with thee, that thou mayest prosper, and build the house of the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken concerning thee.
| «پس حال ای پسرم، خداوند همراه تو باشد و تو را کامیاب سازد تا همان‌طور که فرموده است بتوانی خانهٔ خداوند، خدایت را بسازی. |
12 Only may the Lord give thee intelligence and understanding, and give thee charge over Israel, so that thou mayest observe the law of the Lord thy God.
| خداوند به تو بصیرت و حکمت عطا کند تا وقتی پادشاه اسرائیل می‌شوی تمام قوانین و دستورهای او را بجا آوری. |
13 Then wilt thou prosper, if thou observe to practise the statutes and the ordinances which the Lord commanded Moses concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; be not afraid, nor be thou dismayed.
| چون اگر مطیع دستورها و احکام خداوند که توسط موسی به بنی‌اسرائیل داده است باشی، او تو را موفق می‌گرداند. پس قوی و دلیر باش، و ترس و واهمه را از خود دور کن! |
14 And, behold, during my affliction have I prepared for the house of the Lord one hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand times thousand talents of silver; and of copper and iron [as much as] cannot be weighed; for in [such] abundance was it: and wood and stone have I prepared; and thou must add thereto.
| «من با تلاش زیاد سه هزار و چهارصد تن طلا و سی و چهار هزار تن نقره جمع‌آوری کرده‌ام، و این علاوه بر آهن و مفرغ بی‌حساب، الوار و سنگی است که برای خانهٔ خداوند آماده ساخته‌ام. تو نیز باید به این مقدار اضافه کنی. |
15 Moreover there are with thee in abundance workmen, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of skilful men for every kind of work.
| تو سنگتراشها و بنّاها و نجّارها و صنعتگران ماهر بسیار برای انجام هر نوع کاری در خدمت خود داری. |
16 The gold, the silver, and the copper, and the iron cannot be numbered: arise, [therefore, ] and be doing, and may the Lord be with thee.
| ایشان در زرگری و نقره‌سازی و فلزکاری مهارت بسیار دارند. پس کار را شروع کن. خداوند با تو باشد!» |
17 And David gave a charge to all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, [saying, ]
| سپس داوود به تمام بزرگان اسرائیل دستور داد که پسرش را در انجام این کار کمک کنند. |
18 Behold the Lord your God is with you; and he hath given you rest on every side; for he hath given up into my hand the inhabitants of the land, and the land is subdued before the Lord, and before his people.
| داوود به آنان گفت: «خداوند، خدای شما با شماست. او از هر طرف به شما صلح و آرامش بخشیده، زیرا من به یاری خداوند دشمنان این سرزمین را شکست دادم و آنها الان مطیع شما و خداوند هستند. |
19 Now direct your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God; and arise, and build ye the sanctuary of the Lord the [true] God, [in order] to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built unto the name of the Lord.
| پس با تمام نیروی خود خداوند، خدای خویش را اطاعت کنید. دست به کار شوید و خانهٔ خداوند را بسازید تا بتوانید صندوق عهد و سایر اشیاء مقدّس را به خانهٔ خداوند بیاورید!» |
