1 Chronicles 22
1 And David said, This is the house of the Lord the [true] God, and this is the altar for the burnt-offering for Israel.
Und David sprach: Hie soll das Haus Gottes des HERRN sein und dies der Altar zum Brandopfer Israels.
2 And David ordered to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel: and he appointed [them] to be masons to hew cut stones to build the house of God.
Und David hieß versammeln die Fremdlinge, die im Lande Israel waren, und bestellete Steinmetzen, Steine zu hauen, das Haus Gottes zu bauen.
3 And iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings, did David prepare; and copper in abundance, [which] could not be weighed;
Und David bereitete viel Eisens zu Nägeln an die Türen in den Toren, und was zu nageln wäre, und so viel Erzes, daß nicht zu wägen war;
4 Also cedar-trees [which] could not be counted; for the Zidonians and the Tyrians had brought cedar-trees in abundance to David.
auch Zedernholz ohne Zahl; denn die von Zidon und Tyrus brachten viel Zedernholz zu David.
5 And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built [in honor] of the Lord must be exceedingly great, for fame and for glory throughout all the countries: I will therefore make preparation for it. So David made abundant preparation before his death.
Denn David gedachte: Mein Sohn Salomo ist ein Knabe und zart; das Haus aber, das dem HERRN soll gebauet werden, soll groß sein, daß sein Name und Ruhm erhaben werde in allen Landen; darum will ich ihm Vorrat schaffen. Also schaffte David viel Vorrats vor seinem Tode.
6 And he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for the Lord the God of Israel.
Und er rief seinem Sohn Salomo und gebot ihm, zu bauen das Haus des HERRN, des Gottes Israels.
7 And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house unto the name of the Lord my God;
Und sprach zu ihm: Mein Sohn, ich hatte es im Sinn, dem Namen des HERRN, meines Gottes, ein Haus zu bauen.
8 But there came concerning me the word of the Lord, saying, Blood in abundance hast thou shed, and great wars hast thou made: thou shalt not build a house unto my name, because much blood hast thou shed upon the earth before me.
Aber das Wort des HERRN kam zu mir und sprach: Du hast viel Bluts vergossen und große Kriege geführt, darum sollst du meinem Namen nicht ein Haus bauen, weil du so viel Bluts auf die Erde vergossen hast vor mir.
9 Behold, a son will be born to thee, he it is who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for Solomon [[The Peaceful]] shall be his name, and peace and quietness will I bestow on Israel in his days.
Siehe, der Sohn, der dir geboren soll werden, der wird ein ruhiger Mann sein; denn ich will ihn ruhen lassen von allen seinen Feinden umher; denn er soll Salomo heißen; denn ich will Frieden und Ruhe geben über Israel sein Leben lang.
10 He it is who shall build a house unto my name; and he shall be unto me as a son, and I will be unto him as a father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
Der soll meinem Namen ein Haus bauen. Er soll mein Sohn sein, und ich will sein Vater sein. Und ich will seinen königlichen Stuhl über Israel bestätigen ewiglich.
11 Now, my son, may the Lord be with thee, that thou mayest prosper, and build the house of the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken concerning thee.
So wird nun, mein Sohn, der HERR mit dir sein, und wirst glückselig sein, daß du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Haus bauest, wie er von dir geredet hat.
12 Only may the Lord give thee intelligence and understanding, and give thee charge over Israel, so that thou mayest observe the law of the Lord thy God.
Auch wird der HERR dir geben Klugheit und Verstand und wird dir Israel befehlen, daß du haltest das Gesetz des HERRN, deines Gottes.
13 Then wilt thou prosper, if thou observe to practise the statutes and the ordinances which the Lord commanded Moses concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; be not afraid, nor be thou dismayed.
Dann aber wirst du glückselig sein, wenn du dich hältst, daß du tuest nach den Geboten und Rechten, die der HERR Mose geboten hat an Israel. Sei getrost und unverzagt; fürchte dich nicht und zage nicht!
14 And, behold, during my affliction have I prepared for the house of the Lord one hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand times thousand talents of silver; and of copper and iron [as much as] cannot be weighed; for in [such] abundance was it: and wood and stone have I prepared; and thou must add thereto.
Siehe, ich habe in meiner Armut verschafft zum Hause des HERRN hunderttausend Zentner Goldes und tausendmal tausend Zentner Silbers, dazu Erz und Eisen ohne Zahl, denn es ist sein zu viel. Auch Holz und Steine habe ich geschickt; des magst du noch mehr machen.
15 Moreover there are with thee in abundance workmen, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of skilful men for every kind of work.
So hast du viel Arbeiter, Steinmetzen und Zimmerleute an Stein und Holz und allerlei Weisen auf allerlei Arbeit,
16 The gold, the silver, and the copper, and the iron cannot be numbered: arise, [therefore, ] and be doing, and may the Lord be with thee.
an Gold, Silber, Erz und Eisen ohne Zahl. So mache dich auf und richte es aus; der HERR wird mit dir sein.
17 And David gave a charge to all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, [saying, ]
Und David gebot allen Obersten Israels, daß sie seinem Sohn Salomo hülfen.
18 Behold the Lord your God is with you; and he hath given you rest on every side; for he hath given up into my hand the inhabitants of the land, and the land is subdued before the Lord, and before his people.
Ist nicht der HERR, euer Gott, mit euch und hat euch Ruhe gegeben umher? Denn er hat die Einwohner des Landes in eure Hände gegeben, und das Land ist untergebracht vor dem HERRN und vor seinem Volk.
19 Now direct your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God; and arise, and build ye the sanctuary of the Lord the [true] God, [in order] to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built unto the name of the Lord.
So gebet nun euer Herz und eure Seele, den HERRN, euren Gott, zu suchen. Und machet euch auf und bauet Gott dem HERRN ein Heiligtum, daß man die Lade des Bundes des HERRN und die heiligen Gefäße Gottes ins Haus bringe, das dem Namen des HERRN gebauet soll werden.
