1 Chronicles 18
1 And it came to pass after this, that David smote the Philistines, and humbled them; and he took Gath and its dependent towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
यसपछि दाऊदले पलिश्तीहरूलाई आक्रमण गरे र तिनीहरूलाई जिते । तिनले गात र त्यसका वरिपरिका गाउँहरू तिनीहरूबाट लिए ।
2 And he smote Moab, and the Moabites became David's servants, bringing presents.
तब तिनले मोआबलाई जिते र मोआबीहरू तिनका सेवक भए र तिनलाई कर तिरे ।
3 David also smote Hadar'ezer the king of Zobah, at Chamath, as he went to establish his dominion at the river Euphrates.
सोबाका राजा हददेजेर यूफ्रेटिस नदीको किनारमा आफ्नो राज्य स्थापित गर्न जाँदै गर्दा दाऊदले हददेजेरलाई हमातमा पराजित गरे ।
4 And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand men on foot; and David hamstringed all the chariot-teams, but reserved of them a hundred chariot-teams.
एक हजार रथहरू, सात हजार घोडचढीहरू र बीस हजार पैदल सिपाहीहरूलाई दाऊदले तिनीबाट कब्जा गरे । दाऊदले रथका सबै घोडाका नशा काटे, तर सयवटा रथहरूका लागि आवश्यक पर्ने घोडाहरू मात्र बचाएर राखे ।
5 And the Syrians of Damascus came to aid Hadar'ezer the king of Zobah, when David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
जब सोबाका राजा हददेजेरलाई सहायता गर्न दमस्कसका अरामीहरू आए, तब दाऊदले बाईस हजार जना अरामीलाई मारे ।
6 Then did David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and the Syrians became unto David servants, bringing presents. And the Lord helped David withersoever he went.
तब दाऊदले दमस्कसमा अराममा सेनाको छाउनी राखे, र आरामीहरू तिनका सेवक भए र तिनलाई कर तिरे । दाऊद जहाँ गए त्यहाँ परमप्रभुले तिनलाई विजयी दिनुभयो ।
7 And David took the quivers of gold that were on the servants of Hadar'ezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
हददेजेरका सेवकहरूले भिरेका सुनका ढालहरू दाऊदले खोसे र ती यरूशलेममा ल्याए ।
8 And from Tibchath, and from Kun, cities of Hadar'ezer, did David take exceedingly much copper; thereof made Solomon the copper sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of copper.
तिनले हददेजेरका सहरहरू तेबह र कूनबाट पनि धेरै मात्रामा काँसा ल्याए । यसैबाट सोलोमनले पछि “खड्कुँलो” भनिने काँसाको एउटा विशाल बाटा, स्तम्भहरू र काँसाका विभिन्न भाँडाहरू बनाए ।
9 And when To'u the king of Chamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadar'ezer the king of Zobah:
जब दाऊदले सोबाका राजा हददेजेरका जम्मै सेनालाई परास्त गरेको कुरा हमातका राजा तोऊले सुने,
10 Then did he send Hadoram his son unto king David, to ask him after his well-being, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadar'ezer, and smitten him: for Hadar'ezer had been engaged in wars with To'u; and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and copper.
तब दाऊद राजालाई अभिवादन गर्न र बधाई दिन तोऊले आफ्ना छोरा हदोरमलाई तिनीकहाँ पठाए । दाऊदले हददेजेरलाई आक्रमण गरेको र पराजित गरेको, अनि हददेजेर र तोऊका बिचमा प्राय युद्ध चल्ने गरेको कारण तिनले यसो गरे । तोऊले सुन, चाँदी र काँसबाट बनेका विभिन्न किसिमका सरसामान पनि दाऊदकहाँ पठाए ।
11 Also these did king David sanctify unto the Lord, with the silver and the gold that he had carried away from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of 'Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from 'Amalek.
दाऊद राजाले यी भाँडाहरू परमप्रभुको निम्ति अलग गरे, साथमा तिनले सबै जातिहरूः एदोम, मोआब, अम्मोनका मानिसहरू, पलिश्तीहरू र अमालेकबाट लिएका सुन र चाँदी पनि अगल गरे ।
12 And Abshai the son of Zeruyah smote of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand [men].
सरूयाहका छोरा अबीशैले नूनको उपत्यकामा अठाह्र हजार एदोमीलाई मारे ।
13 And he put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became servants unto David. And the Lord helped David withersoever he went.
तिनले एदोममा सेनाको छाउनी राखे, र सबै एदोमी अब दाऊदका सेवक भए । दाऊद जहाँ गए त्यहाँ परमप्रभुले तिनलाई विजय दिनुभयो ।
14 And David reigned over all Israel, and he did what is just and right unto all his people.
दाऊदले सारा इस्राएलमाथि राज्य गरे, र आफ्ना सबै मानिसहरूको न्याय र धार्मकता कायम गरे ।
15 And Joab the son of Zeruyah was over the army, and Jehoshaphat the son of Achilud, recorder.
सरूयाहका छोरा योआब सेनाका कमाण्डर थिए, र अहीलूदका छोरा यहोशापात लेखापाल थिए ।
16 And Zadok the son of Achitub, and Abimelech the son of Ebyathar, were [the] priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
अहीतूबका छोरा सादोक र अबियाथारका छोरा अहीमेलेक पुजारीहरू थिए, र शब्शा सचिव थिए ।
17 And Benayahu the son of Jehoyada' was over the Kerethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were the first at the side of the king.
यहोयादाका छोरा बनायाह करेती र पेलेथीहरूका निरीक्षक थिए । दाऊदका छोराहरूचाहिं राजाका मुख्य अधिकारीहरू थिए ।
