1 Chronicles 16
1 And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.
Entraron el Arca de Dios y la colocaron en medio del Tabernáculo que David había erigido para ella; y ofrecieron ante Dios holocaustos y sacrificios pacíficos.
2 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
Cuando David hubo acabado de ofrecer los holocaustos y los sacrificios pacíficos, bendijo al pueblo en nombre de Yahvé,
3 And he dealt out to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
y distribuyó a toda la gente de Israel, hombres y mujeres, a cada uno, una torta de pan, una porción de carne y un pastel de uvas pasas.
4 And he placed before the ark of the Lord several of the Levites as ministers, and to chaunt hymns, and to give praise and thanks unto the Lord the God of Israel:
Y puso levitas que habían de hacer el servicio delante del Arca de Yahvé, invocando, alabando y ensalzando a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel.
5 Assaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah; Je'iel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and Matthithyah, and Eliab, and Benayahu, and 'Obed-edom; and Je'iel with psalteries and with harps; but Assaph played aloud with the cymbals.
Asaf era el jefe; después de él, Zacarías, Jeiel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Matatías, Eliab, Banaías, Obededom y Jeiel, que tenían salterios y cítaras. Asaf hacía sonar los címbalos.
6 And Benayahu and Jachaziel the priests were with the trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
Los sacerdotes Banaías y Jahaziel estaban con trompetas continuamente delante del Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé.
7 On that day—then did David appoint for the first time to give thanks to the Lord through means of Assaph and his brethren.
Entonces, en aquel día, David dio por primera vez (este himno) en manos de Asaf y de sus hermanos para que alabasen a Yahvé:
8 O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name; make known among the people his deeds.
“¡Alabad a Yahvé, invocad su nombre; pregonad a las naciones sus proezas!
9 Sing unto him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.
¡Cantadle, tañed salmos en su honor; narrad todas sus maravillas!
10 Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.
¡Gloriaos en su santo Nombre; alégrese el corazón de los que buscan a Yahvé!
11 Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.
¡Buscad a Yahvé y su fortaleza; buscad de continuo su Rostro!
12 Remember his wonderful works which he hath done, his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;
¡Acordaos de las maravillas que Él ha hecho, de sus prodigios y de los juicios de su boca,
13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.
oh hijos de Israel, su siervo, descendientes de Jacob, sus elegidos!
14 He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.
Él es Yahvé, Dios nuestro; Él es quien juzga toda la tierra.
15 Remember ye for ever his covenant, the word which he hath commanded to the thousandth generation.
Recordad para siempre su Alianza, la palabra valedera para mil generaciones;
16 Which he covenanted with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
el pacto que firmó con Abrahán, y el juramento que prestó a Isaac.
17 And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant;
Lo estableció para Jacob como ley, y para Israel como alianza eterna;
18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance;
diciendo: “Te daré el país de Canaán, como parte de vuestra herencia.”
19 When ye were but few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
Cuando erais escasa gente, poco numerosos, y extranjeros en el país;
20 And when they wandered from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people:
cuando iban de una nación a otra, y de un reino a otro pueblo,
21 He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake.
no permitió que nadie los oprimiese. Por amor de ellos castigó a reyes;
22 Saying, “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”—
“¡No toquéis a mis ungidos, ni hagáis mal a mis profetas!”
23 Sing unto the Lord all ye lands: announce from day to day his salvation.
Cantad a Yahvé, oh tierra toda, anunciad de día en día su salvación.
24 Relate among the nations his glory: among all the people his wonderful deeds.
Narrad entre las naciones su gloria, sus maravillas a todos los pueblos.
25 For great is the Lord, and greatly praised; and he is to be feared above all gods.
Pues grande es Yahvé, y digno de toda alabanza; y más temible que todos los dioses.
26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord hath made the heavens.
Porque ídolos son todos los dioses de los pueblos. Yahvé ha creado los cielos;
27 Majesty and honor are in his presence, strength and gladness are in his place.
gloria y majestad están ante Él, fortaleza y alegría, en su Morada.
28 Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye families of people, ascribe unto the Lord glory and strength.
Tributad a Yahvé, oh familias de los pueblos, dad a Yahvé la gloria y el poder!
29 Ascribe unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; take up an offering, and come into his presence; bow down before the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
¡Tributad a Yahvé la gloria de su Nombre! ¡Traed ofrendas, y presentaos delante de Él! ¡Adorad a Yahvé con adorno sagrado!
30 Tremble before him, all ye lands! Also the world standeth firmly, that it be not moved.
¡Conmuévase ante Él toda la tierra! Firme está el orbe, y no será conmovido.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
¡Regocíjense los cielos, y alégrese la tierra; digan los gentiles: “¡Yahvé es rey!”
32 Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
¡Brame el mar, y cuanto lo llena! ¡Salten de júbilo los campos, y cuanto en ellos existe!
33 Then shall the trees of the forest sing joyfully at the presence of the Lord; because he cometh to judge the earth.
Prorrumpan en gritos de alegría los árboles de la selva, ante Yahvé; pues viene a juzgar la tierra.
34 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness.
¡Alabad a Yahvé, porque Él es bueno, porque es eterna su misericordia!
35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, to glorify ourselves in thy praise.
Y decid: “¡Sálvanos, oh Dios de nuestra salvación; reúnenos y líbranos de las naciones, para que celebremos tu santo Nombre, y nos gloriemos, cantando tus alabanzas!
36 Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from everlasting even unto everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praise unto the Lord.
Bendito sea Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, por eternidad de eternidades.” Y todo el pueblo dijo: “Amén”, y alabó a Yahvé.
37 And he left there in charge before the ark of the covenant of the Lord Assaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, at the work of every day on its day,
Entonces dejó (David) allí, delante del Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé, a Asaf y sus hermanos, para el servicio continuo delante del Arca, según el reglamento de cada día;
38 And 'Obed-edom with their brethren, sixty and eight, and 'Obed-edom the son of Jeduthun and Chossah to be gatekeepers;
y a Obededom, con sus hermanos, en número de sesenta y ocho; y a Obededom, hijo de Iditún, y a Hosá, como porteros;
39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord, in the high-place that was at Gib'on,
asimismo a Sadoc, el sacerdote, y sus hermanos, los sacerdotes, delante de la Morada de Yahvé, en la altura de Gabaón,
40 To offer burnt-offerings unto the Lord upon the altar of the burnt-offering continually at morning and at evening, and this in accordance with all that is written in the law of the Lord which he had commanded concerning Israel;
para que ofreciesen continuamente holocaustos a Yahvé en el altar del holocausto, por la mañana y por la tarde, según todo lo dispuesto en la Ley de Yahvé, que Él había prescrito a Israel.
41 And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were selected who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because unto everlasting endureth his kindness;
Con ellos (estableció) a Hemán y a Iditún, y a los otros escogidos y nominalmente designados, para alabar a Yahvé: “Porque su misericordia es eterna.”
42 And with them, with Heman and Jeduthun, the trumpets and cymbals to play aloud, and the musical instruments of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be for the service at the gate.
Con ellos estaban, pues, Hemán e Iditún, que tenían las trompetas y los címbalos para cuantos los tocaban, y los instrumentos para los cánticos de Dios. Los hijos de Iditún eran porteros.
43 And all the people went every man to his house; and David turned about to bless his house.
Luego todo el pueblo se fue, cada cual a su casa; también David se volvió para bendecir su casa.
