1 Chronicles 16

1 And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.

Astfel au adus chivotul lui Dumnezeu și l-au așezat în mijlocul cortului pe care David l-a ridicat pentru el; și au oferit sacrificii arse și ofrande de pace înaintea lui Dumnezeu.

2 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.

Și când David a sfârșit oferirea ofrandelor arse și a ofrandelor de pace, a binecuvântat poporul în numele DOMNULUI.

3 And he dealt out to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.

Și a împărțit fiecăruia din Israel, deopotrivă bărbat și femeie, fiecăruia o pâine și o bucată bună de carne și un ulcior de vin.

4 And he placed before the ark of the Lord several of the Levites as ministers, and to chaunt hymns, and to give praise and thanks unto the Lord the God of Israel:

Și a rânduit leviți să servească înaintea chivotului DOMNULUI și să mărturisească și să mulțumească și să laude pe DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel,

5 Assaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah; Je'iel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and Matthithyah, and Eliab, and Benayahu, and 'Obed-edom; and Je'iel with psalteries and with harps; but Assaph played aloud with the cymbals.

Asaf, mai marele; și lângă el, Zaharia, Ieiel și Șemiramot și Iehiel și Matitia și Eliab și Benaia și Obed-Edom; și Ieiel cu psalterioane și cu harpe; dar Asaf suna cu chimvale,

6 And Benayahu and Jachaziel the priests were with the trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

Benaia de asemenea și Iahaziel, preoții, cu trâmbițe erau continuu înaintea chivotului legământului lui Dumnezeu.

7 On that day—then did David appoint for the first time to give thanks to the Lord through means of Assaph and his brethren.

Atunci în acea zi David a dat întâi acest psalm, în mâna lui Asaf și a fraților săi, pentru a mulțumi DOMNULUI.

8 O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name; make known among the people his deeds.

Aduceți mulțumiri DOMNULUI; chemați numele lui, faceți cunoscute faptele lui printre popoare.

9 Sing unto him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.

Cântați-i, cântați-i psalmi, vorbiți despre toate lucrările lui minunate.

10 Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.

Glorificați-vă în sfântul său nume, să se bucure inima celor ce caută pe DOMNUL.

11 Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.

Căutați pe DOMNUL și puterea lui, căutați neîncetat fața lui.

12 Remember his wonderful works which he hath done, his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;

Amintiți-vă lucrările lui minunate pe care le-a făcut; minunile lui și judecățile gurii sale;

13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.

Voi, sămânță a lui Israel, servitorul lui, copii ai lui Iacob, aleșii lui.

14 He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.

El este DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru, judecățile lui sunt pe tot pământul.

15 Remember ye for ever his covenant, the word which he hath commanded to the thousandth generation.

Amintiți-vă legământul său întotdeauna, cuvântul pe care l-a poruncit la o mie de generații.

16 Which he covenanted with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

Legământ pe care l-a făcut cu Avraam și jurământul său lui Isaac;

17 And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant;

Și a întărit același legământ lui Iacob ca lege și lui Israel ca legământ veșnic,

18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance;

Spunând: Ție îți voi da țara Canaanului, sorțul moștenirii tale;

19 When ye were but few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

Când ați fost doar puțini la număr; da, doar puțini; și străini în țară.

20 And when they wandered from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people:

Și când au mers de la o națiune la alta, de la o împărăție la alt popor;

21 He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake.

El nu a permis niciunui om să le facă rău; da, a mustrat împărați pentru ei,

22 Saying, “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”—

Spunând: Nu atingeți pe unșii mei și nu faceți rău profeților mei.

23 Sing unto the Lord all ye lands: announce from day to day his salvation.

Cântați DOMNULUI, tot pământul; arătați zi de zi salvarea lui.

24 Relate among the nations his glory: among all the people his wonderful deeds.

Vestiți gloria lui printre păgâni și lucrările lui minunate printre toate națiunile.

25 For great is the Lord, and greatly praised; and he is to be feared above all gods.

Pentru că mare este DOMNUL și demn de a fi mult lăudat, el de asemenea este de temut deasupra tuturor dumnezeilor.

26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord hath made the heavens.

Căci toți dumnezeii popoarelor sunt idoli, dar DOMNUL a făcut cerurile.

27 Majesty and honor are in his presence, strength and gladness are in his place.

Glorie și onoare sunt în prezența lui, tărie și veselie sunt în locul său.

28 Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye families of people, ascribe unto the Lord glory and strength.

Dați DOMNULUI familii de popoare; dați DOMNULUI glorie și tărie.

29 Ascribe unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; take up an offering, and come into his presence; bow down before the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Dați DOMNULUI gloria datorată numelui său; aduceți ofrandă și veniți înaintea lui; închinați-vă DOMNULUI în frumusețea sfințeniei.

30 Tremble before him, all ye lands! Also the world standeth firmly, that it be not moved.

Temeți-vă înaintea lui, tot pământul; lumea de asemenea va fi întemeiată, încât nu se va clătina.

31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.

Să se veselească cerurile și să se bucure pământul; și să spună oamenii printre națiuni: DOMNUL domnește.

32 Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.

Să urle marea și plinătatea ei; să se bucure câmpurile și tot ce este pe ele.

33 Then shall the trees of the forest sing joyfully at the presence of the Lord; because he cometh to judge the earth.

Atunci vor cânta copacii pădurii la prezența DOMNULUI, deoarece el vine să judece pământul.

34 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness.

Aduceți mulțumiri DOMNULUI, pentru că este bun, că a lui milă dăinuiește pentru totdeauna.

35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, to glorify ourselves in thy praise.

Și spuneți: Salvează-ne, Dumnezeu al salvării noastre și adună-ne și eliberează-ne de păgâni, ca să aducem mulțumiri numelui tău sfânt și să ne glorificăm în lauda ta.

36 Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from everlasting even unto everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praise unto the Lord.

Binecuvântat fie DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel pentru totdeauna și întotdeauna. Și tot poporul a spus: Amin; și a lăudat pe DOMNUL.

37 And he left there in charge before the ark of the covenant of the Lord Assaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, at the work of every day on its day,

Astfel a lăsat acolo înaintea chivotului legământului DOMNULUI pe Asaf și pe frații lui, să servească neîncetat înaintea chivotului, precum cerea lucrarea fiecărei zile;

38 And 'Obed-edom with their brethren, sixty and eight, and 'Obed-edom the son of Jeduthun and Chossah to be gatekeepers;

Și pe Obed-Edom cu frații lui, șaizeci și opt; pe Obed-Edom de asemenea, fiul lui Iedutun, și pe Hosa să fie portari;

39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord, in the high-place that was at Gib'on,

Și pe preotul Țadoc și frații săi, preoții, înaintea tabernacolului DOMNULUI pe înălțimea care era la Gabaon,

40 To offer burnt-offerings unto the Lord upon the altar of the burnt-offering continually at morning and at evening, and this in accordance with all that is written in the law of the Lord which he had commanded concerning Israel;

Pentru a aduce ofrande arse DOMNULUI pe altarul ofrandei arse, neîncetat, dimineața și seara; și pentru a face conform cu tot ce este scris în legea DOMNULUI, pe care i-a poruncit-o lui Israel;

41 And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were selected who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because unto everlasting endureth his kindness;

Și cu ei pe Heman și Iedutun, și restul care au fost aleși, care au fost chemați pe nume, să dea mulțumiri DOMNULUI, că a lui milă dăinuiește pentru totdeauna;

42 And with them, with Heman and Jeduthun, the trumpets and cymbals to play aloud, and the musical instruments of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be for the service at the gate.

Și cu ei au fost Heman și Iedutun cu trâmbițe și chimvale și cu instrumentele muzicale ale lui Dumnezeu, pentru aceia care trebuiau să sune. Și fiii lui Iedutun erau portari.

43 And all the people went every man to his house; and David turned about to bless his house.

Și tot poporul a plecat, fiecare om la casa lui, iar David s-a întors să binecuvânteze casa lui.
