1 Chronicles 13
1 And David consulted with the officers of the thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.
Sumangguni si David sa mga pinuno ng libu-libo at daan-daan, sa bawat pinuno.
2 And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, if it seem good unto you, and if it be of the Lord our God, let us send widely about unto our brethren who are left in all the lands of Israel, and with them unto the priests and Levites who are in their cities and open districts, that they may gather themselves together unto us.
Sinabi ni David sa buong kapulungan ng Israel, 'Kung ito ang mabuti para sa inyo at kung ito ay nagmula kay Yahweh na ating Diyos, magpadala tayo ng mga mensahero sa lahat ng lugar kung saan naroon ang ating mga kapatiran na nananatili sa lahat ng mga rehiyon ng Israel at sa mga pari at mga Levita na nasa kanilang mga lungsod. Sabihan sila na sumama sila sa atin.
3 And let us bring round the ark of our God to us; for we have inquired not at it in the days of Saul.
Ibalik natin ang kaban ng tipan sa atin, sapagkat hindi natin sinangguni ang kaniyang kalooban sa panahon ng paghahari ni Saul.”
4 And all the congregation said that this should be done; for the king was right in the eyes of all the people.
Sumang-ayon ang buong kapulungan na gawin ang mga bagay na ito, dahil tila tama ito sa paningin ng lahat ng mga tao.
5 So David assembled all Israel together, from Shichor of Egypt even unto the entrance of Chemath, to bring the ark of God from Kiryath-ye'arim.
Kaya, tinipon ni David ang lahat ng mga Israelita, mula sa ilog ng Sihor sa Egipto hanggang Lebo Hamat, upang kunin ang kaban ng Diyos mula sa Kiriath Jearim.
6 And David went up, with all Israel, to Ba'alah, [that is] to Kiryath-ye'arim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the Lord, that dwelleth between the cherubim, whose name is called [on it].
Si David at ang lahat ng Israel ay umakyat sa Baala, iyan ay ang, Kiriath Jearim, na sakop ng Juda, upang kunin doon ang kaban ng Diyos, na ang tawag ay Yahweh, na nakaupo sa trono sa ibabaw ng kerubim.
7 And they conveyed the ark of God in a new wagon out of the house of Abinadab: and 'Uzza and Achyo guided the wagon.
Kaya inilagay nila ang kaban ng Diyos sa bagong kariton. Inilabas nila ito mula sa bahay ni Abinadab. Sina Uza at Ahio ang umaalalay sa kariton.
8 And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and on harps, and on psalteries, and on tambourines, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
Si David at ang lahat ng Israelita ay nagdiriwang sa harapan ng Diyos ng kanilang buong lakas. Sila ay umaawit na may mga instrumentong may kuwerdas, mga tamburin, mga pompiyang at mga trumpeta.
9 And when they came as far as the threshing-floor of Kidon, 'Uzza put forth his hand to take hold of the ark; for the oxen shook it.
Nang makarating sila sa giikan sa Quidon, biglang hinawakan ni Uza ang kaban, dahil natisod ang baka.
10 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against 'Uzza, and he smote him, because he had put forth his hand toward the ark: and he died there before God.
Pagkatapos, nagalab ang galit ni Yahweh laban kay Uza at pinatay siya ni Yahweh dahil hinawakan ni Uza ang kaban. Namatay siya doon sa harap ng Diyos.
11 And it was grievious to David, because the Lord had suddenly taken away 'Uzza; and he called that place Perez-'uzza [[Breach of 'Uzza]] until this day.
Nagalit si David dahil pinarusahan ni Yahweh si Uza. Ang lugar na iyon ay tinawag na Perez Uza hanggang sa araw na ito.
12 And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring home to me the ark of God?
Natakot si David sa Diyos sa araw na iyon. Sinabi niya, “Paano ko maiuuwi ang kaban ng tipan ng Diyos?”
13 So David removed not the ark unto himself into the city of David, but had it carried round into the house of 'Obed-edom the Gittite.
Kaya hindi inilipat ni David ang kaban ng tipan sa lungsod ni David, ngunit inilagak ito sa bahay ni Obed-edom na taga-Gat.
14 And the ark of God remained in the house of 'Obed-edom, in his house, three months. And the Lord blessed the house of 'Obed-edom, and all that belonged to him.
Ang kaban ng Diyos ay nanatili sa tahanan ni Obed-edom ng tatlong buwan. Kaya pinagpala ni Yahweh ang kaniyang tahanan at ang lahat ng kaniyang ari-arian.
